New baby means I havne't had time for much. I finally finished a pair of socks I've been working on for ages. Made progress on the second sock on a different pair I set aside awhile ago. I also just picked up a cross stitch project I abandoned over the winter. I finished a dress for B, it came out super cute. It sounds like I've accomplished a lot but really that was over the course of a month. I haven't felt motivated to do much lately. Sleep deprivation and all that.

I've been wondering the same thing. I forced myself to finish the blanket I was working on, but it ended up smaller than I planned. I still haven't picked anything else up...

I try to pick something small, or focus on unfinished projects that don’t need that much more effort. If I can get something small checked off my list, then I will generally allow myself to get excited for something new and dive into another major project.
I actually had a very productive month. I made this 68” square quilt for a coworker with cancer in less than a week.
It’s based on the Vintage Star pattern from In Color Order.
Summer is tough. I’d rather be outside pulling weeds or planning my yard. I have DS2’s quilt that is so far behind. Next time it’s super hot out, I need to make myself go to the basement to get it pieced together. It’s close. Also, when I’m in a slump or don’t really have the time, I pick up craft books at the library to thumb through. Quilt books with colorful fabrics make me happy.
I grab a ball of yarn and make a baby hat. Takes an hour, can do it mindlessly with the tv on, and at the end of the year, I will donate the pile of them to the local hospital.
