I'm so so sorry, Mel. I agree, for me, there's no way to emotionally prepare. Even when I test early, I hope against hope that the blood test with be different. I'm sending you lots of love and hugs.

17 follicles look like they might be or will mature. Two more doses of stims to help, and then I trigger tomorrow night for a Tuesday morning retrieval and we will drive home after!

Mm today for me. I have 10 that are of good size & another 6 <10. This are great numbers for me, as my antral count is usually around 8. Last retrieval I had 6 mature. Probably triggering tomorrow for a Wednesday retrieval.

How do you keep yourself from thinking about your growing embryos 24/7? I’m having a lot of trouble not fixating and a lot of anxiety about how they are doing. I know I really need some distractions but I’m still feeling super crummy and sore today so my options are kind of limited.
Honestly working was the best thing for me. I worked the week after 2 of my retrieval and didn't the other 2. The 2 where I worked went so much faster. Just try to keep yourself busy or you will drove yourself crazy

I seriously cannot wait to get back to work on Monday! You’re right that will help so much as it’s a big distraction. I can’t cope with not having my mind occupied but it feels like there’s nothing left to watch and read right now to occupy it. I think I’m just being a little dramatic.

TV and movies. Reading books. Work.
compassrose, I'm later than you. I haven't even started that one. Thanks for the reminder that I need to download it!
seeyalater52, trashy novels and tv when I feel crappy. I am late to the world and just now reading the crazy rich Asians trilogy.
How are the other books? I remember I couldn't put Crazy Rich Asians down once I got into it.
seeyalater52, TBH, work is best for me, too. I just don't have mental space at work, whereas even if I plan fun things during a week off, I have a lot of time to think.

I feel like absolute crap so on the one hand it’s good my retrieval was on a Friday but these non-work days are killer. And work just announced surprise days off Monday and Tuesday leading up to the 4th (scheduled holiday.) I’m going to need to find some ways to occupy myself! I did some work from home but sort of like planning fun things the non-urgent-ness of it still makes it easy to get lost in my head. Thankfully tomorrow is Monday (when was the last time I said that!?)

Totally understand! Sometimes I like doing projects, too--something with a definite start and end place.
