Has anyone had an ovarian cystectomy? I had an ultrasound on CD3 and there was a large cyst on the ovary, it wasn't there the month before. The RE put me on BC pills for 2 weeks. I went back today for another ultrasound and it grew another .4 mm so it's now coming in at just over 76mm which is large. They're putting me on BC for another 2 weeks and then I'll have to go for another ultrasound.
I was talking with the nurse just now and she said if after the next ultrasound it hasn't gone down in size I'm going to need to be referred to a surgeon for an ovarian cystectomy.
Obviously I'm reading horror stories but was wondering if you've had one and can tell me what to expect/recovery etc.

Is a cystectomy removing the cyst surgically? I have a friend who had one drained and it resolved on its own after that, I wonder if that could be an option for you.
I’m so sorry you’re having another canceled IUI. It’s so frustrating.

I haven’t on my ovaries, but I’ve had two in my breast. For that, it was pretty easy. They just go in with a big needle and drain it. Did they tell you what the protocol is?
I asked the nurse and she said because of the size it would need to be removed surgically if it doesn't go down or go away on it's own. I'm frustrated it got cancelled again but it's making me wonder if that's not why I've been feeling crampy and bloated for the past month or so. I just took the feelings being related to being on BC.

I'm sorry If it were me, I'd want to do the surgery as soon as possible to be able to move forward with TTTC
