It's FRIDAY!!! YAYAYAYAYAY! What's going on today? This weekend? Anything random to share?

Now that we are home (and healthy) we have to find a car! So, we will do some car shopping this weekend, although I don't know if we are buying it for him or me, lol. I've been so sick of my car in the last year so we are shopping for both of us and seeing what we find.

His brother also said he wanted to buy us something for the house so we plan on shopping for patio furniture. Other than that, probably hiding indoors as it's supposed to be near 100 here, which is insane!

Tonight I'm going to a friend's birthday dinner but the really exciting part of my weekend is that tomorrow I'm going to Disneyland!! I'm going to be in a parade with people I dance with and other dance groups. We get to be in the park before and after. I haven't been there I'm so long, I'm really looking forward to it!

It's going to be entirely too hot here, too. I am planning to go out to the barn EARLY to ride (like 7am...I usually roll in around 3pm, lol) so neither Owen nor I pass out. We've had so much summer rain that he's broken out in rain rot (a gross bacteria that causes scabs over his back and legs...and then falls off and leaves him bald, lol), so there will be some betadine baths in there, too, to kick the last of that.

I'm finally no longer sick (2 weeks, 1 of which I was on antibiotics again)...but now M has whatever I had. So I expect he'll be in bed all weekend (this is the second day he's called off of work. I was sick too, and I didn't get to take a day off, humpf). I guess that means I'll be doing all the yard work in the heat - fun!

In further random news, the damn floor lamp I ordered in MARCH is finally off backorder and will arrive on Monday. It better be freaking spectacular for a 3-4 month delay (Lamp)

mags, that sounds like so much fun! I hope your pool day is amazing and no migraines appear.

chalupa, I like that lamp! I hope it lives up to your expectations and that you don't die in the heat And yes, I'm feeling much better! I saw my PCP yesterday and he's pretty sure it was an odd fluke. He wants more blood work so I have to be on my boring-ish dry diet for another week but overall I'm feeling good!

I might be getting out of work early, tonight I'm going to see Hedwog and the Angry Inch with friends. The rest of the weekend I'm hiding from the heat because it's going to be way too hot.

Hi ladies! Weekend is pretty much over but thought I’d pop in. Got back from California Saturday evening. The trip was really amazing! We stayed all week at a resort called Terranea in Ranch Palos Verde. We had a one bedroom bungalow that faced the ocean and had a beautiful patio with a fire pit. They had yoga by the ocean every morning which I loved but my sister did not. She ran in the mornings instead. We did some hiking, horseback riding, ocean kayaking, spa’ing, and general lazing around by the pool. Friday we went to Hermosa Beach and I got my first tattoo...which I LOVE. My sister and I got matching ones and she really loves hers as well.

All in all a great week and I’m definitely not ready to go back to work tomorrow.
