1) I got in 4 or 4 CF workouts. As for running, my target was 8 miles... and I did 13!!! Also, when we went to HersheyPark, took charge of the double stroller all day, so I'm counting that as extra credit. 2) We're leaving for vacay before dawn on Saturday, and with the 4th of July holiday, it'll be a weird week. I'm hoping for 3 CF workouts and 8 miles. 3) Careful with the extra sweets that magically appeared in our home over the weekend. Self-control at a cook out on Wednesday 4) NSV - I did a 30-day challenge at my gym last month and am down 2% body fat and about an inch and a half came off my waist!
Diet: I followed paleo for a while. It didn't make me skinny. I will say that I do appreciate it for having made me realized how much processed shit we eat. It has made me mindful of wanting to eat more fresh stuff. Exercise: A lot of people see CF as a fad, so, guilty.

1. I did 2 CF workouts and that was it I think aside from a lot of walking over the weekend while camping. I did not workout while I was OOT and I ate stupidly. But it could have been worse as I did not order french fries with my burger for dinner or lunch and I only ate 5 oreos out of the 2 whole rows that were missing when I woke up Thursday morning. My brother is a bad influence on my nutrition. I'm going to just blame him even though I'm a grown ass woman. 2. 3 crossfit, 1 piyo, 1 run, 1 walk. 3. Hit my macros every day but Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday. Keep them close on those days though since it's just one meal per day that I'm wanting the flexibility. 4. Despite my poor food choices last week, my pre-pregnancy jeans still fit and look good. Bonus. I've also tried paleo and have attempted some whole30s. My first whole30 I did lose 5 pounds and it was all diet related since I was in a walking boot for a stress fracture. I was going to say the same thing about CF judyblume14 . The gym I go too is 5 years old which seems to be a long time for a fad. My brother was giving me crap about it in the car last week when he asked me how long I thought I'd be doing it and I said I don't see myself stopping since I'm 8 months in and haven't gotten bored yet. He said "you really think you'll do it forever? It won't be around for you to do it forever" Again, he's a bad influence.
ETA: I misread the WOD for last Wednesday and forgot that I was counting that as 2 CF workouts, so I got all 3 in.. I was only supposed to do 16 minutes of work and did 30 so that was fun.
1. Pretty good. All 6 80 Day Obsession workouts were completed even though they were tough this week! Diet was so-so. DH is a bad influence. 2. 6 80 DO workouts, maybe a P90X on Saturday too. 3. Dial the diet back in. I've been bad this last week with too many sweets. 4. I was able to wear a tank top yesterday and feel good about my shoulders. I even got a compliment.
80 DO is probably my fad, but it is giving me results. I'm just not a huge fan of the diet. I've also done good old fashioned calorie counting with MyFitnessPal and got great results.
1. Ok, not much on the exercise front but food was amazing 2. I have the 4th-8th of the week off so...1 beach walk, 1 swim day, 1 river walk, and maybe a hike over the weekend or pull out my SUP. 3. Stick with my no carbs keto diet 4. I'm a full week and a half into keto and I feel so much better. My feet haven't swelled in the last 5 days and no more tummy bloat!
Bonus: I guess keto as I'm doing it right now. I just wish DH and my mother would be more supportive and not keep shoving carbs under my nose. On the other hand my sister who lives on carbs told me way to go and keep it up.
1) How did last week go? Better than I thought, honestly. I've been having trouble jamming my workouts in with DH traveling and having early appointments in the morning. I hate our new treadmill - the old one was like walking on a mattress, and this one is like walking on something harder than cement. Instant shin splints. So I've been trying to get out where I can. Per my fitbit, I got in 6 out of my targeted 5 workouts last week. The 7th day was yard work in 90+ degree heat with 75% humidity. I sweat through all my clothes.
2) What are your exercise goals for this week? Aiming for 5 workouts. I think I'm going to try aqua jogging today. Dh had an early appointment, and now it's too hot to go out and walk. Also, DH is working, so I can't leave the kids.
3) What are your nutrition goals for the week? Stop eating so much cook-out crap. Which will be hard with 4th of July. Also, we're leaving for vacation on Saturday, which will be a week of poor diet choices...
4) Any non-scale victories? Nope. none. I'm up a couple of lbs. Scale defeat.
Bonus - What diet/exercise "fad" have you fallen for in the past? Or, is there "fad" that you actually had success with? Um... all of them? I tried weight loss pills in the early 90's - like Dexatrim - and I would literally pass out mid-day, wake up 45 mins later, and not know who I was. Super day when it happened at work. Also did the low-fat, high carb diet in college. I didn't gain 50lbs because I was running 5 miles a day and lifting weights 4 days a week. Then senior year in college I'd eat basically nothing, and so I weighed basically nothing... then I started eating normally stopped working out because I was working 60 hours a week, and gained 40lbs. Slimfast. Special K Diet. Water diet. Did them all. Weight watchers really worked for me - I lost 20 of the 40 lbs I'd gained. Then I got really into running again and controlled portions, and I lost another 15. I didn't need to lose the last 5. Kept the weight off for 8 years until I got pregnant. Gained 45lbs, lost it all with working out and being aware of what/how much I ate. Got pregnant again, gained 45lbs... lost 30lbs, and stalled. Kept it on for 3.5 years. Finally DH and I used MFP to track food and workouts. I lost 15, have kept it off for over a year. DH lost 25, and has gained almost all of it back.
MFP was the way to go for me. WW too, but the amount of processed food that they encouraged was unappealing.

1) How did last week go?
Pretty good! I got my workouts in and I ate healthy all week. My nutritionist asked me to start tracking my food b/c I told her that I was hungry in the afternoons. I thought I would suck at b/c I really rebelled against that after getting off weight watchers, but it's going well.
2) What are your exercise goals for this week?
I'm nursing some kind of muscle strain so I'm not sprinting at all this week. I need to make sure I hit all my bike workouts between now and the 70.3 distance triathlon I signed up for. It's coming up...ack!
3) What are your nutrition goals for the week?
Stick to the meal plan. Track everything!
4) Any non-scale victories?
I'm proud of myself for tracking wed-today!
Bonus - What diet/exercise "fad" have you fallen for in the past? Or, is there "fad" that you actually had success with?
Beach body/shakeology. It did not work for me. The workouts were great, and the shakes weren't even that bad, and it was fun at the time being in a facebook group with my neighbors... BUT in between group sessions I could NOT hold myself together. Also, once I started really training for triathlons it was not enough food.
Also...my neighbors that were the facebook group were very skinny...and being in a group where very skinny people were trying to loose weight kind of messed with me.
I also did weight watchers and had success but that stupid program a) keeps changing and b) left me with zero understanding of how many calories I was eating or the nutritional value of any foods, really.

mustardseed2007 I have the same feelings towards WW. About all it taught me was how to be mindful of portion sizes.
I also fell into the beachbody world. Even signed up to be a coach but never pushed it. I sold 2 programs lol. They have good workouts and 21 day fix is great. I've only ever tried shakeology but never used it regularly.
1) How did last week go? Terrible. I’ve eaten crap and drank too much. I looked at my June mileage and it’s half my usual mileage. I’ve gained 11lbs since the beginning of May when I ran my half and finished training. I’m getting back in shape starting today.
2) What are your exercise goals for this week? Work out. Lift some days and run some days.
3) What are your nutrition goals for the week? Eat better than I have been.
4) Any non-scale victories? Today I started Workout 1 of the Strong program by the authors of New Rules of Lifting.
Bonus - What diet/exercise "fad" have you fallen for in the past? Or, is there "fad" that you actually had success with? I’ve done weight watchers in grad school. More recently Renaissance Periodizaion.
I need to jump back into this. Was at the doctor today and was weighed so I need to loose 40lbs (this was between first and second pregnancy) my first goal will be to loose the remaining weight from this pregnancy.
Last week went well. I am 2.5 weeks post partum and able to carry the baby about half a mile.
This week I am slowly going to work myself into walking. If I have to take a Motrin I know I'm doing too much. I feel great so I'm excited to see what I can do.
I am not dieting at all but making sure I make good choices. Picking the fruit instead of chips, veggies instead of cereal. Probably going to keep my ice cream and bagels a bit longer
NSV: able to feed my kid without formula all day today whoo. Also able to carry her in the car seat.
Bonus: daily burn. I love it and I am probably going back to it as soon as I get the all clear from the doctor.
1) How did last week go? I got in five workouts and my diet was pretty good every day except one.
2) What are your exercise goals for this week? To get all my scheduled workouts in
3) What are your nutrition goals for the week? We always have house guests for the fourth so I will have lots of food around. My goal is to eat and drink in moderation.
4) Any non-scale victories? No
Bonus - What diet/exercise "fad" have you fallen for in the past? Or, is there "fad" that you actually had success with? Everything! Starting in high school I have pretty much done every fad diet I came across. I have had success with two. I lost almost 70 lbs with weight watchers 10 years ago and have managed to keep it mostly off. The second was the paleo diet. I had to do an elimination diet when my youngest was a baby and that just fit the food I was allowed to eat. I did that for almost four years and was able to lose the baby weight from both kids. I have done a complete 180 and have been eating a mostly plant-based diet for the last seven months after additional health issues. It is too early to tell if this is another fad or an actual lifestyle change.I have seen a positive change in my overall health though so I'm trying to stick with it.

erinshelley21, I was a "paid coach". I never sold anything. My cousins both became a coach under my neighbor who I worked with and who I really loved...and I guess that's another thing.
My cousins then shared with me about her facebook posts...like she has a super fun online presence but every aspect of that is all actually very calculated to gain sales and participants in her groups. She really is a sweet person in real life (I think? Gosh see I don't know!), but she's also very successful at selling and plays their system well and markets to everyone she knows AND everyone even her acquaintances know without seeming like she's selling... it has made me super suspicious of MLM stuff, which I guess I always should have been, right?
But really, the underlying workouts are actually very very good. Perfect if you don't want to go to the gym or don't have time. I have the 21 DF, 21 DF Extreme, T25...and I actually can't remember if I bought Insanity or not (which is weird, how can I not remember that?). Insanity was awesome...Shaun T is pretty awesome actually.

I've found that I've lost a bit of weight these last few weeks, so I'm jumping on the bandwagon. My parents are visiting tomorrow, though, so no doubt I'll be jumping off soon after...
1) I lost some weight because I couldn't eat.
2) Continuing to run 3 miles, 3x/week even though my parents will be here. My goal is to average 10 min/mile within a month or so, but only for the purpose of making my workouts shorter. =D
3) To continue to not eat so much. Maybe eat at least one salad over the course of the next week.
4) I've been hit on a few times by goodlooking, younger guys, and I'm still just shy of 200 lbs. Major win.
ETA: Bonus - I've done the Atkinson diet, a Whole30, and Weightwatchers. The Atkinson helped me to drop 10 lbs. The Whole 30 was pretty awesome (in terms of feeling more clear and having amazing skin), but didn't have the impact on my weight that I'd hoped for. Weightwatchers was a bust.

HeartofCheese, I've just started running consistently in the past couple months. My miles average around 12 minutes. I was saying the same thing to a friend at the gym this morning. I want to get down to a 10 minute mile. Not because I want to be fast... I just don't have time to be slow!
