I need help with our bathroom. Since we decided to hold off on adding a new bathroom, I decided to re-decorate ours. It is painted a soft lime or apple greenish color. Bone, beige tile with medium wood cabinets.
Current décor is lime green, aqua and brown and white. I am over the aqua and brown.
I was thinking maybe navy, white and pops of candy apple red. I need a rug 3by4 or 3by5. Towels, and tub mat. I think I can paint our existing wooden toiletry box, tooth brush holder, and night light if I get the right color spray paint or acrylic paint. I could even do a cute pattern on the night light or toiletry box.
I have kind of a pea/apple green/seafoam - not exactly remembering the color name, and I have navy towels and pictures in my master bath. I love it. It is the same scheme in my master bedroom and looks great.
I’m a neutrals fan (Currently...we have had tons of color in the past). The only weird decorating thing is - I hate blow drying my dark hair with anything dark behind me - prefer blank walls so I can see what I am doing.

So would you do more like navy or gray?
I never liked the green color or wanted that color, but I was outvoted by Dh who seems to think it is the greatest thing ever. He also vetoed my fun idea of green and pink think pink flamingos and Lily Pulitzer. I just want a guy who doesn't care about decorating and lets me do whatever I want. Oh well.
I don't feel like re-painting, and I think I could make it feel different with different accents.
I love the Lilly idea! Could go with a more blue pallet and maybe sell him on it if it was paisley and ferns instead of pink and flamingos?? And decorate with live ferns and fern art matted with Lilly patterns?? I mean this could be super super cute and not toooo girlie!
helenahhandbasket, I think the problem I have is that I need the exact right color to go with the exact color that I have.
For example, I have light yellow super old towels that look terrible with the green. I probably need a brighter yellow. Or I have old teal and light blue towels that look terrible with the green because it needs to be aqua. Our current design is aqua, so I need something different
I am not sure if coral goes into the pink line that DH didn't want. I tried an orange shirt with the color, and didn't like it.
My strategy has been to try different fabrics around the house, and see what I like. I have more of a peachy shirt I can try. I am now intrigued with royal blue. I mean I like the navy, but I am not blown away by it, and it does seem dark.
The apple red looked super cute, but DH wasn't sold, and it was hard to accessorize.
If royal blue turns out to be the color, I had found some Lily towels that would look adorable.
