Final grades are due for my class on Wed (although I always aim to have everything in by Tuesday) and I'm off next term and I'm looking forward to the break (I will miss the paycheck though).
Got a pedicure on my way home from my appt this morning and it was so relaxing, I even splurged and treated myself to the sugar scrub. I did not want it to be over lol.
I took today off in case I was exhausted from this past weekend, haha. I'm not really but I'm happy I'm off because my mental health isn't in the best spot right now.
Nothing really going on until this weekend. H's uncle is having a get together on Sat and MIL keeps saying she thinks he and his GF might do a surprise wedding. It wouldn't shock me at all if they got married but I'm not sure that's what this get together is. Who knows! They're actually in Vegas right now.. hmmm lol. Sunday I have a baby shower. Trying to decide if we want to stay at my parents on Sat night or not. Just a lot of driving no matter what we do, lol.
I've got a pretty boring week planned. I had a long to-do list to take care of today and I've already managed to get through all of it, which I'm considering my accomplishment for the week. Mostly, I just made calls and scheduled appointments that H has to actually go handle. lol.
My backyard is still a mess, and the new fence is probably not going to go up until next week. But I'm not going to complain because at least it's getting done and it's going to look so good once it is.
Tomorrow, Bowser-dog is going to the vet for his rabies vaccine. I'm really nervous about it, because he had a bad reaction to his last set of vaccines. Since we don't know which one caused the reaction, the vet recommended that we just do the rabies booster this time, since it's the most important one for him to continue getting. I reeeeeeeeally hope he doesn't react to it.
Wednesday, H is taking my car for an oil change.
Thursday, I'm officially in the second trimester.
No plans for the weekend, which I'm pretty excited about. I'm going to be lazy and it's going to be wonderful.
Today- usual bagels, groceries, etc. We were supposed to have a play date but it was cancelled because the other kid was sick. Worked out ok because I spent the morning folding laundry, making dinner, cleaning up the house, and getting ready for tomorrow!
Tomorrow- wild animal park with one of my best friends (that I rarely get to see) and her almost 4 yo son!!
Friday- play date at the lake with friend and her boys (that I will be watching a couple times/month once school starts).
Weekend- hopefully running and going to the harbor/baby beach or lake! Nothing really planned yet.
I want to run at least 3-4 times this week. I need to get back into it again and did good this weekend despite it being record breaking temps. It’s hot and humid so need to get out early!
Also want to get recycling done and random chores around the house! Just spent 1.5 hours working on my dads business FB page so caught up there for now!
Happy anniversary grover! Lots of luck with your cycle.
Not too much this week. Today we had a great day. We got a ton of errands done so that’s taken care of.
Wednesday is the local carnival but it doesn’t start until a little late for us. We’re trying to see if we can make it work because B would have a blast.
Friday H, his dad, and brothers are going crabbing to celebrate FIL’s birthday. Then we’re all supposed to meet back at IL’s house to eat the crabs and sing happy birthday. My SIL is supposed to come with my 3 week old nephew so I’m exited to meet him for the first time.
H’s cousin and her family are also in town this weekend so we’ll see them at some time.
Same ole, same ole here. We do have lil man's birthday this weekend. I'll get a cupcake for him to enjoy when DH gets home from his seminar. I've already started decorating for his party next weekend. Seems like overkill till I remember WHY I'm decorating a little bit at a time so early...I have a 2.5 year old and an almost 1 year old.
I've had hiccups for almost an hour, and they are almost to the point of feeling painful.
Ugh I hate that! My cousin showed me the best way of getting rid of them and it's worked for me 99% of the time - chug water while plugging your ears. You'll either need someone to plug your ears or use a straw but I swear by it!
estrellita - I fully support mental health days! I hope you had a nice, relaxing day off.
grover - Happy anniversary!! FX that you get good news at the end of your TWW! When is your beta?
luv2rn4fun - Thank you! My SIL took them, and we had so much fun doing them. We ended up with a bunch of really great pictures, so it was hard to choose which ones to use for our post.

I have a similar trick. I've found that if I drink something long enough to drink through a hiccup (does that even make sense?), it usually takes care of them. If that doesn't work, sometimes a combination of holding my breath and taking long gulps of something will do it.

I hate hiccups. Ugh.
This works for me like, 75% of the time! I do this if I have something to drink and can't plug my ears, lol.
grover When I was on the Varsity Cheerleading squad, we had a girl who (no lie) would take a mouth full of water, get into a headstand position, then gulp it to get rid of hiccups. I don't think you're THAT desperate for a fix...but thought I'd share
katespade, beta is the morning (super early 6:30 am) of 7/23 but I work all day that day so I may purposely not answer the call. Haven't decided yet. I'm testing out the trigger, and it's almost gone, but haven't decided if I'll have the willpower to not test again til the 23rd or not. Years ago, MIL's psychic told her our family would have good news on the 7/17. That's the day H believed the test was positive for A when it came up on the digital. I was hoping to have IUI on the same day again this year so it would maybe hold true this year too. IUI was 2 days later, so maybe it'll still be true, just super light? And then H's birthday is 7/18.
There is an elementary school with attached park across the street from my house. There is a daycare about a half mile up the road who walks their pre-K and school age kids to this park to play. No big deal, except they never pick up their trash. The trash can is always overflowing too. So not only do I not want E to play there because of the trash, said trash is also always blowing into my driveway and front yard!
During the school year, it's much better kept. It's mostly the school breaks that we have this issue.
Dh and I have decided to complain to the daycare, and to the city.
I got summoned for jury duty starting Monday. So I now need to call my MIL and see if there is anyway she would be up to watching the girls for however long I need her. And let her know C has been sick. I hate asking but I really hope she will so DH doesn't have to use vacation time for this.

Ugh. Sorry bk1. I have no idea what I will do when that day comes. We literally have no one willing to watch the boys (my step mom isn’t really capable because she has no patience for any length of time and my dad works). DH also only gets 10 PTO days per year...

I have run 4 times since last weekend! Feels good to be back and trying to get into shape again! My weight is up even though my thyroid is back to “normal” range (although higher than I would like still).
Also, my Garmin watch band broke (my dads did as well but we were going to piece the two together, they broke in different places so it would work). Anyways, DH suggested asking Garmin if they would send a replacement since it was obviously a cheap design (only had the watches a year...my preschool mom friend and her DH had the same issues as well)...I did and they are sending me one for my dad and me! Yay! The replacements are $25 and I didn’t want to do it unless I had to!
bk1, that sucks. If you need to, you may be able to defer since you are your children's primary caregiver. I would call the county clerk.
I know that's an option in my state. I had to do that when E was like 4 months because there is a possibility of being sequestered, and I was nursing him at the time, thus his only food source.

I tried this morning but it's a no go. I got MIL lined up for Monday and I'll take it one day at a time. I'm suppose to call a number after 5 today for further instructions for my group and I'm hoping I get cancelled and they fill the jury today.

bk1 Boo, hope you can get out of it. I've never been summoned but H has. We had recently moved so he got out of it by proving he didn't live at the address they had anymore, lol.

Same here. It was when C was super young (like around 1-2 months old). My OB wrote me a letter for the court writing me off for at least a year due to breastfeeding.
DH just got a summons for next month...it’s during his month end time as well. It’s going to be brutal, especially if he has to go to court and then still has to do month end (no one to do the work for him and there’s a non flexible timeline). Not sure how it will all play out if he actually gets on a jury...but he would likely be excused as he’s our only source of income.

This isn’t my week. I’m greatly missing my friends and one of the jobs I interviewed for, that I thought went really well, said they went with another candidate. I’m just having a hard day today. I hate that everything is falling on my DH. He sees that I’m applying for jobs and isn’t worried since we have enough in savings and he makes a good wage but I have been working since I was 15 and I’m getting bored at home. I hate that I’m not making money. He is making plans either after work or on weekends to do different things together. This weekend we may go play mini golf. I may try a walking path tomorrow as long as I wake up early.
