pooh8402 I've had strep enough times that when H thinks he has it, I ask him "can you still swallow? Not does it HURT to swallow, but CAN you?" Lol. Plus I've always also had a fever and felt super run down (I had it on ML, I could barely lift A). Hope he gets over his "man strep" soon 😛
I literally almost typed "man strep."
You should have just reminded him that you are growing a human so you literally “win” no matter what (unless he’s literally dying) 🤣. Why are men such babies!?!
Eek! DH is buying us Disney annual passes in a few weeks! We plan on going the first weekend of September for food and wine! I’m so excited!
I am SO excited for you!!! You will love having passes and your time at Disney sounds amazing (I love going with the boys but Day dream of going without them...we actually did a month ago and it was awesome)!
How do the passes in FL work? Is there a resident discount? Can you go to all the parks? There used to be a SoCal discount (we are grandfathered in) and we get access to DL and CA Adventure. No alcohol at DL, only at CA Adventure and it’s very limited. How much do they cost?
We are looking at the Silver annual pass, which has blackout dates for 2 weeks around Easter and Christmas then 6 weeks in the summer. So times when we don’t want to go. It has free parking, park hopping and 20% off most food and merchandise. It less for the silver annual pass then we paid in February for a 6 day park hopper! The Florida discounts are awesome! Once we buy the annual pass we can view the discount rates for resorts but will probably end up at the gate hotels for cheaper. Since parking is included we will stay at a cheaper hotel.
For food and wine we usually buy a prepaid gift card of $300 and that is good for all of the food samples and alcohol samples/drinks. With 20% off, we may indulge a little bit more.
I should add it’s 2 hours to magic kingdom from our address according to GPS ( With my lead foot it will be faster lol) so we will be staying for food and wine and using an Uber for hotel transportation to Epcot, driving on other days that we don’t indulge in the food and wine festival.

Sounds similar to our passes, except they did away with free parking awhile ago (I typically just do validation at downtown Disney and get 5 hours, which is perfect with two little boys who need to nap). We live 30 min away (45 with traffic) so it’s really a perfect setup. I think ours are about $375...the next option is the deluxe and it’s $700+. We are blocked out for 2 month this summer and 2.5 next summer, a couple weeks at Christmas, spring break, and weekends.
Ugh. Please cross your fingers for me- both cars are dead. One won't turn on at all. The other keeps telling me "Engine overheated- stop engine now." We just paid off the second newer car last year and so don't have room for another two car payments in the budget with daycare for two.
It's our 12-year anniversary. E and I are both sick. DH and J are both exhausted from a camping trip they took. He didn't even buy me a card because we are going out for it another night (though who knows when) so he thought we should do everything then. We can at least do cards on our actual anniversary! I am achey and miserable, and I just want it to be bedtime.
So...neighbor and H thought they fixed the cars last night. So we took the car that was working for sure (the newer one still had engine light on, and was still running hot temps) and it died in the parking lot at the hair cut place for H. So we had to have it towed. Thankfully, my parents have an extra car so I'm using my mom's this week. I may be driving with my dad to the southern part of the state for a dealer down there that's really given my sister and dad great deals on new vehicles this weekend.
krystee- happy anniversary! I hope you guys have an awesome make up celebration! Your DH’s FB post was super sweet (as was yours)! Hope you are feeling better too!
