I got my period the other day on DAY 24. WTF?!?! We didn't even start trying until like 3 days AFTER I would have ovulated. Haha. Oh, man.
Also--thanks to the wonky timing there's a good chance I'll be out of town when they could possibly do an HSG which means we probably won't be able to cycle until mid October at the earliest which kind of throws off my plans. UGH, whatever.
I do wonder if I could do the HSG while already on BCP for IVF. Has anyone done it this way?

My first 2 REs specifically planned my SHGs and mock transfers when I was on BCP prior to IVF.
shauni27 I am also in denial about that sweet boy of yours being 1. Because that also means mine is about to be 1 and I'M NOT READY. How can I compete with oneslybookworm 's crawfish cookies?? Our theme is going to be "birthday party" rofl, we will have some balloons, cake and a sandwich tray from Costco or something. I'm the worst mom.
belovedbride07 that does sound exhausting. Treat yourself to some nice wine and a bubble bath tonight or something.
I took C to the doctor yesterday as his eyes were kind of goopy and I thought it was more than his allergies and I was right. Eye infection, and got some drops. Today daycare calls me and he has a fever. Poor guy. He took some motrin, a big bottle and zonked out when we got home. Thank goodness my mom can watch him tomorrow so H and I can go to work still. So lucky to have her so close.

You stop it right there, you are not the worst mom!!! I loved making the cookies, but I'm a baker at heart so it was fun for me. Doesn't mean anyone else needs to make them (though man, I'd love to do that as a side business, making cookies...NOM...cookies).
I also can't believe we have so many little ones turning 1 right now! Crazy to think about!

shauni27, one of the things I really like to do is make all the meals for the week on Sunday. So, I'll make a lasagna and put it in the fridge, unbaked, to bake on a Tuesday (or something), and I'll make 2 meatloafs, bake one for dinner on Sunday and freeze one for later in the week, then I'll end up doing a crockpot meal as well to have on Monday, then just rotate the leftovers for lunches and dinners later in the week. It definitely helps me feel less stressed and I never have to worry about what I'm feeding G, because it's already prepped and/or cooked.

oh you totally should! You're so good!!
I was being silly, I know i'm not the worst mom, I just feel exhausted planning a big something but I know how cute and fun it is when you do put in the effort.
I forget how many of us were pregnant about the same time, there are a lot of birthdays recently/coming up!

I know, I forget too. I actually wasn't super active on the board because we obviously weren't pregnant. So, it was only after we got G that I started creeping back. LOL
mrsgoontz, our party was so simple--I got cheese and crackers, my mom brought a watermelon and cut it up and my in laws brought veggies and dip. I used a king arthur flour boxed cake mix. The most time consuming thing was making all of the frosting from scratch and piping it on, lol.
My in laws got there an hour early to "help set up" and kept asking what they could do...there was literally nothing, so we had beers while we waited for S to wake from his nap and for guests to arrive, lol.

But, but...what about Sunday?
I am so lazy on Sundays. I'm lucky if I even cook dinner for that night, much less prep for the week.

We've never had a birthday party for H. For her first birthday, my MIL came to visit and we had a fantastic intimate day with the four of us, playing with balloons, opening presents, smashing cake, and eating all of H's favorite foods.
We moved the weekend of her second birthday. At least we moved to be near family, so we all went out to dinner and then had cake.
She's been asking for a "purple party at the park" with cake and pizza, so I suspect we'll need to do better for her third birthday.

I try to be productive on Sunday so I don’t have to be the rest of the week. Lol. I’m lazy every other night instead.

Same. All I've done for A's birthdays so far is make cupcakes. I think I'm going to have to do step it up for her 3rd though.
I can’t believe all these babies are turning on. I remember lurking over here when we were doing our FETs and everyone having their babies. I can’t beliebe it’s already been a year!
We leave for our trip Friday morning and I have done absolutely nothing for it lol. E is starting to smile lots when we smile at him or talk to him. He is such a sweeet heart. Stil hates tummy time but loves to stick out his tongue. I can’t beliebe he is over 2.5 months.

Considering how much I dislike and resent making dinner on weeknights lately, it would probably be worth sacrificing some of my weekend to get started. As it is now, H gets home from daycare right when I need to focus on dinner, so I basically give her a hug and then ignore her. And then she whines and grabs at my legs while I'm trying to cook, and then I get annoyed... It's not a good system.
My kid shoved an entire handful of mini Milkbone dog cookies in his mouth last night and I didn't notice until he had chewed through it for a while.
Don't worry, when I was a kid I wanted a dog so much I pretended to be one, including eating dog food. I survived. Although not without embarrassment as my parents insisted on trotting out that story every opportunity they got.

I'm avoiding calling because I have 173636 other things to do and I hate talking on the phone. Remind me what to expect at the first OB appointment, please.
Last time I didn't get in until about 10 or 10.5 weeks, so they drew blood for Panorama and let me have a quick ultrasound because I was worried.
I'll be 9w2d at Friday's appointment. They probably won't bother with an u/s, right? Will they even be able to do Panorama at that point? I'll be asking for Diclegis, so I feel like that's basically the point of going, lol.
They'll ask lots of questions, draw blood, possibly make you pee in a cup, probably an ultrasound, and answer any questions you have. If you haven't had a pap in a while, they may do that.

Um...nothing. Ha. I guess it depends. With my first pregnancy, they did do an ultrasound at my first one, which was cool. With this one, I peed in a cup, gave some blood, deferred on getting a pap (but got it at the next appointment), and got a packet of information that I haven't opened since.

Thanks, guys.
Ugh, I really hope they do an ultrasound, but I have a strong suspicion they won't because I just had one (last Friday) and they'll trust my RE's dating.
cherryvalance, we did not have an ultrasound until the anatomy scan at my clinic. They wont do panorama testing either. Basically heartbeat check and talking out next steps.

shauni27, oh man! I really only have to hold on to 12 weeks for the nuchal, then it's pretty much just heartbeat checks until the anatomy scan. I wonder if they'll do more because I'm 35?
I am currently planning J first birthday party as he turned 11 months yesterday. How are they getting so old???
I also struggle with feeding him. He chokes on everything but doesn't want purees unless they are in a pouch. I don't know what I'll feed him once he's off formula and I have no clue how to wean off bottle or formula. He currently has a pouch at every meal plus a few ounces of puree of I can get it in him, and mini pieces of bread, fruit, pasta, or chicken.
Question...j is cruising all over the place which is great but....when he gets to the end of the furniture he lets go and does a dead fall backwards. It's like a freaking trust fall. He's been doing it for a month. I catch him 95% of the time but he's fallen and hit his head at least 4 times...how so I get him to stop this?
