Because I’m bored and started using a wet Real Technique sponge again and can’t seem to get it spotless-like new clean like various YouTube videos show.

For me it depends on the foundation/bb cream - some work better with fingers, others with a brush and others with a wet sponge. I play with all three when first applying foundations until I figure out which works best with the formulation.
I use the Beauty Blender Pro solid Cleanser (it's the black solid). It works really well and much better than the liquid cleanser. I can get it almost spotless (the very tip of it never gets 100% clean, but I use that to blend in my concealer so that could be why) .
BB creams/tinted moisturizer I use fingers. I switch between my beauty blender and brushes depending on the foundation and what works best. So all 3 lol.
I either use fingers or a not-beauty blender. (Either Ulta brand or eco tools)
I wash mine with just regular bar soap. Lever 2000 to be precise. Rub it allover the soap and squish and rinse. Repeat if needed. But it's also black so I can't tell if it's dingy compared to brand new
I use my fingers. Then add concealer where I want it and blend in the concealer/foundation with a brush. I’m not a fan of the beauty blender unless I’m doing super glam makeup which is rare.
I generally use a brush for foundation/BB cream. I do like my beauty blender but I apply my make up in my bedroom and I'm too lazy to walk to the bathroom to dampen it.
I tend to use a brush, but I primarily use a mineral powder for foundation.
And for my BB cream/sunscreen I tend to use my fingers as I have yet to find something that works well with the texture. It's too thick to not loose it all in a brush but the sponges seem to soak it all up too. If anyone has suggestions I'm open!
My fingers for applying my tinted moisturizer and concealer, then beauty blender to blend it all together. If I'm using the L'Oreal true match lumi cushion foundation, I use the applicator it comes with.

Depends. I use a RT damp blender sponge for most foundation and concealer. I use a IT cosmetics brush for my IT Confidence in a Compact (bought a set a while back that came with a brush) For tinted moisturizer and some BB creams, I just use my fingers. But then usually blend out the edges with a damp RT sponge.
My tip for getting beauty sponges "like new" clean is to use a bar of soap. "scrub" the sponge against the soap and you will get all the gunk out. Rinse/squeeze and repeat where necessary. I'm using a Yardley soap right now, but you could use whatever kind you have around the house or find cheapest.
ETA: Apparently I can't read b/c wawa already shared this. Damn this cold.
For Estee Lauder Double Wear, I found that I have to use my fingers, as it sets SO freaking fast, I can't use a brush or sponge at all, I am not quick enough. LOL...
I really want to use my beauty blender, but I don't think I do it right. I can't seem to get it to look flawless like everyone on the internet.
I dislike brushes for applying foundation. I feel like it goes on way too heavy. I use my fingers for BB cream and a beautyblender knockoff for my liquid foundations. Exception: I do use a kabuki brush for my OG bareminerals foundation (I recently started using this again and had forgotten how much I loved it).

I find that the RT sponge doesn’t provide the density I would like for applying foundation, though it is a great option for blending out eye primer that maybe didn’t get an even application, or for setting your concealer under your eyes with some loose powder. I go back and forth between the beauty blender and the Sephora brand pro sponge, and to be honestly, I find the Sephora one more consistent and easier to work with but I believe I’m in a minority on this preference.
