Today: running, bagels, groceries, laundry, making dinner
Tomorrow: picking up a puddle jumper we ordered online and then taking the boys to the lake. Probably a run too
Weds: either the regional park or the lake
Fri: chores
We have a somewhat busy weekend. C has a meet the coach day for soccer (I am also the assistant coach) in the morning on Sat. Sunday afternoon I am taking the boys to a good college friends baby shower while DHpkays golf with his BFF.
suzv- hope you get a lot done these next couple weeks...and have some fun with J too! You will have to let me know how you like VIPkid...it’s always something I have in the back of my mind for making more money! Right now I get extra cash from my dads business (I do his FB social media) and watching our friends boys 2-3 times per month (this just started last week)! The extra money is nice and is allowing me to put towards a vacation we wouldn’t otherwise be able to take...plus, extra money for being home with the boys!
We are going to do a day trip with my SIL, MIL, and nieces sometime this week. Checking out our recently expanded and remodeled Aldi's today.
I have got to kick my butt in gear. I've been eating terribly. I feel bloated and low on energy way too often. I did yoga 5-6x a week for 6 weeks or so then stopped. I need to pick it back up because I miss it and felt so much better while I was doing it.
Also we have been eating out too much which contributes to the above problem and is $$$. I have to get back to menu planning.
I was talking to a coworker about cord blood banking, and it led me to do a little research...
YALL. There is research being done right now on newborn cord blood stem cells and restoring hearing loss. Right now, it's just autologous (child's own stem cells) but maybe in my lifetime, parents could use it?
Dh and I are now seriously considering banking this baby's cord blood. We didn't bank E's.
No plans this week other than taking A in for her allergy test tomorrow. Hopefully we can get some work done outside this weekend. We started pulling out whatever bush/tree mess we had going on so I want to finish cleaning that up and put mulch down instead of the rocks like we did further back. We've been meaning to do it for a while.. also want to get the weeds in the cracks of the driveway finally taken care of. I was pulling some of them out but we need to spray them and the stupid sprayer is broken on the weed killer.
Our A/C saga continues. The fan stopped working on Thursday 7/19. We were going out of town the next day, so we had someone come out Monday 7/23. They put a rescue motor on it and we were hoping it would hold until we could replace it. Well it lasted two days and died again on Wednesday 7/25. We’ve got quotes and hopefully they can get started this week, but it’s a full week job because we’re making a bunch of changes.
So since 7/19 I’ve spent two nights in my house and it will be at least a week before we can go home. We’re splitting time between my parents and my IL’s house. My IL’s are going on vacation on Friday, so at least we will have some space alone then. I’m so,so thankful we have family to stay with, but it’s starting to wear on me juggling houses with 2 kids and a dog.

Pretty quiet week for us, doctor's appt for T on Wednesday and speech therapy for R on Thursday. Otherwise, work and errands. We'll probably do a few random things too, we want to check out our new library to see what they have available for kids (our old one had a play area that was always available in addition to the classes)
My parents are coming down on Sunday and we also have someone from the insurance company coming to look at the damage to our house - we discovered on Thursday that water was coming in through the roof, going through the attic, and into our bedroom ceiling. We assumed it was a hole in the roof but the guy they sent out yesterday couldn't find anything, he thinks it might have been a fluke and with all the rain we've been getting, it came in sideways through a vent or something. We have a tarp up there for now but we're supposed to get more rain this week and without knowing for sure how the water is getting in, we can't know for sure that the tarp is going to prevent it. So basically we're keeping our fingers crossed that the damage doesn't get worse since we'd really like for our bedroom ceiling to not cave in.
Not much going on this week. We met a friend and her kids at the park this morning and grabbed the essentials at Target. The weather has been so crappy the last two weeks and I'm annoyed. It's been cloudy/rainy almost every day.
I have an OB appt tomorrow night (just check up) and I think I'm going to leave early and take myself out to ice cream for dinner.
Thursday I am watching my friend's daughter for a few hours so she can help her MIL. At some point I want to make a few freezer meals for my SIL who just had a preemie. He should be home in a few weeks.
No plans for the weekend. Hoping for just some low key family time and maybe going out to dinner.
Today: Training/setting up my classroom Tomorrow: maybe zoo? Wednesday: Ultrasound!!! Hope to see 1 little baby in there! Thursday: playdate Friday: nothing!!
Car #1 is in the shop- problem was the fuel pressure regulator. $270 later, that should be fixed tomorrow. Car #2 has appointment for tomorrow. Hoping that's not too expensive, so that we can continue no car payments until I can find a good deal with 0% financing later this year.

((Hugs)) tacocat. Hope it gets fixed soon and you guys are back home.
HoneySpider- we had a leak like that as well. I hope you guys figure it out so it can be fixed. Prayers for no more damage until then. Definitely not something you ever want to deal with but especially with a newborn and toddler. ((Hugs))
bk1- I feel the same way and it’s frustrating. I need to be consistent with running and eating healthy. I thought my weight would drop once my thyroid evened out but I guess not. I actually don’t eat all that bad so not sure what’s going on. Plus, I am exhausted all the time (couldn’t be the 2 years of crappy sleep LOL). Good luck sticking to your goals- you’ve got this!!

Ran 5 miles with the boys (9:30 pace so that’s good on a hilly route!), did bagels/coffee/groceries, laundry just needs to be folded, dinner is made, and I even got a shower in! Pretty good for a Monday! Might even nap while the boys sleep 😀

Today’s been a pretty good day. Did laundry this morning. Also joined a gym, had a pretty good workout. It was pretty intimidating though, a lot of very fit people and there I am hoping my muffin top isn’t jiggling too much lol. After working out, I went to Aldi’s and Winn Dixie. H got out of work at his normal time so we are relaxing and watching tv.
I’m going to try and recreate the antipasti salad we had at a pizzeria yesterday for dinner tonight. I hope it tastes similar.
Nothing really going on the rest of the week. Just cleaning, going to the gym and finding some other local things to do.

Thanks luv2rn4fun....it took us by surprise since we of course had an inspection when we bought the house a few months ago and there were no issues at that time...seems plausible then that it might have been an unlucky fluke. We'll find out. Thank goodness DH is home because he's been dealing with it.

((Hugs)). We found our inspector through y.elp. Tons of 5 star reviews. We learned after the inspection that he gave away a gift card for 5 star reviews. Which is fine...if you are good at your job. We have noticed that he missed quite a bit. It’s so frustrating. I really hope yours was just a fluke and it doesn’t happen again! We had two leaks, one that was caused by a hole in the roof and another through a hole in the window frame (which came in when the rain was at an angle). Our rain gutters were also in desperate need of cleaning. Fun times! Glad your DH is home to help with all of this!!
luv2rn4fun You amaze me with your ability to run with the boys. Back when I was running, 9:30 was about the best I ever did. I can’t believe you can do that pushing two boys! That is so awesome!

HoneySpider we had a similar fluke thing happen when we moved into our house. Super duper heavy rain like the worst we have ever had caused there to be flooding through out Bay window. We did extend the flashing a little bit just to be safe but we haven't had any issues since and have lived in our house 7+ years. This rain is annoying.
Not much planned this week. I need to make a few calls on miscellaneous things that need to be done but otherwise just work and rest.
My aunt and uncle are coming into town this weekend so we will see then which will be nice.

Aww, thank you! I feel so out of shape these days. Before we started TTC, I qualified for Boston running 7:53 pace! It was a 30 min PR. My dad and I want to qualify again and actually run (I had to defer due to pregnancies and never got to run because they stopped accepting deferments after the bombing in 2013). Just feels like a pipe dream at this point as I need to run 8:17 pace...not to mention being able to really train for a marathon and complete the distance.

I can’t believe it’s August 1st! Where did July go? I’m enjoying a second cup of coffee and waiting for the caffeine to kick in so I can go to the gym.
We got our first ever electric bill. It wasn’t too bad! Our last apartment our electric was included so we never worried about it. My FIL kept asking if we received it yet, he was worried it was going to be high since we aren’t used to conserving energy.
My FIL also cornered me about going to Disney lol. My husband was out on the patio and could see me smiling while FIL plead his case through the window. He knew right away what was going on. We then informed him we are getting our annual pass in the next week or 2 and he was so excited. He can’t wait to meet us there.
H was asked to go to FL for a few days in Oct for work. I'm jealous, lol. I definitely want him to take the opportunity (I would!) but I'm super anxious about it! I think I can make it work though. I have PTO to use so I'm considering just taking those days off and sending the kids to DC. Then I don't have to stress so much and maybe I can get some things done around the house. I really just want to go with though lol.
