shoeless, I'm so sorry you are still dealing with the miscarriage. How are you holding up? I hope your OB is amenable to scheduling a D&C.
My FET consult is Wednesday. I have like 11 billionty questions and I haaaate waiting so at least having this appointment makes it feel like something is finally happening.
I go back on BC tonight. The RE took me off of it on Monday when he saw the cyst grew. He wanted my body to have a period on it's own even though I was spotting/light bleeding for the 6 weeks on BC.
Back to BC tonight for another week and then going in on Monday for the cyst aspiration and starting IUI meds the day after.
I had an HSG on Friday. They thought they saw a small amount of tissue, but my RE thinks it will pass with my next period. Anyone have recommendations of supplements that might help with that? Raspberry leaf tea or something?
Still waiting on the genetic results of the 4 embryos. Should find out any day and I'm so nervous!
I have a suppression check tomorrow for the ERA biopsy schedule I'm on. I head to Florida on Saturday for my new job, and will likely come back here for the biopsy. Oy....so much stress.

hey all! We are on our first IUI cycle for TTTC#2. I started menopur yesterday and go in for monitoring wednesday. IUI will likely be over the weekend or Monday depending on how I respond (we did low dosage on my menopur since this is our first cycle back-but my body is slow-I usually ovulate on CD21).
@slk4117, can you just do it without kissing? lol I would if you are ovulating.

I’ve been drinking yogi women’s moon cycle tea and taking blue and black cohosh. Obviously, it hasn’t really worked for me.
Ultrasound today- 3 follies. IUI #1 scheduled for the 1st. If this doesn't work, we'll switch to IVF right away.
I have no idea what the timeline is for IVF - anyone care to share a rough schedule?
For me, I had ultrasounds and blood work on CD2, CD8, CD11, CD12, and retrieval CD15. If I had done a fresh transfer, it would have been on CD21, beta CD28. But we did a freeze all for PGS.

I did birth control suppression for 21 days before I got going wth my cycle. Some providers do “natural start” after your normal cycle or other methods of suppression or priming before stims. I had a baseline appointment the day I stopped birth control. I started stims on what my clinic called day 1 (I never got my period in between stopping bc and starting stims) and did monitoring on days 6, 9, 11. I stimmed for 10 days and triggered on the 11th day. Retrieval was the 2nd day after trigger. I did a fresh 5 day transfer so transfer was 5 days after retrieval.
My follicles were a little bit slow growing initially so I spent the first half of stims freaking out, but things worked out pretty well in end. For me it wasn’t so physically difficult as emotionally difficult, especially after retrieval. The updates with your numbers - how many eggs retrieved, how many fertilized, how many are still growing - are an anxiety-producing mindfuck. Try to take it one day at a time if you can.
I am so sorry shoeless, I really hope your OB can get you scheduled today. Dragging this out is awful.
Jalapeñomel if you have insurance coverage to cycle again, that seems like a fantastic idea over the summer.
I finally triggered on Sunday. It's the best cycle I've had in two years: 3 mature follicles, trilaminar (but thin) lining. But we got the news that DH's sperm frag is 30%, so I won't be surprised if things don't work out. Not sure what we'll do next if so. Our original plan assumed I was the only "problem", but that doesn't appear to be true any longer.

FishChicks—we have that issue too but still got 1/3 normal. He should be on Vitamins C&E and CoQ10 to help if he’s not already. There were several medical journal articles I read that showed 70% of men drastically improved in 90 days with supplements.

Sadly he's been on them for months, so maybe this is the "improved" state. I suspect the cause is that he's trained for an endurance bike event again this year. It's over now and he's agreed to stop riding, but that doesn't help right now. He trained for the same event the year we conceived our twins (which was also the same year we had 3 1st tri MCs), so I tried not to stress about it, but now that the results are back I'm pretty upset. Maybe we'll get lucky and get that perfect sperm/egg combo again this time.
Transfer is this Wednesday! The past few weeks have flown by. I have some major projects due for school, so they are a good distraction. Beta won't be until 8/10, so the distractions will be much needed.
Our Dr thinks I was overly suppressed last cycle and that’s why it took so long for the follicles to develop. So this next retrieval we are doing an estrace priming protocol.
I’m using OPTs this week and next to track my LH surge, then I will start estrace pills 6 days after that. I’m hopeful we will get better results!! It’s weird to use the OPTs again though - for so long (when we were trying naturally) they were such a part of my daily routine. Since we started IUI and IVF I haven’t had to use them. The break was nice!
They also want me to use second morning urine for them - which is slightly less convenient but oh well!

An unexpected piece of good news today: I got my insurance approval for my FET cycle in the mail! I didn’t realize it would be submitted prior to our consult but I’m so glad it’s taken care of so I dont have to worry in the unlikely event my period comes earlier than expected.
Consult tomorrow afternoon! I feel like I have sooo many questions. If any of you have things you recommend asking based on your own experience I’d love to hear them.

Congrats! This is great news.
Doc can’t get me in for this cycle, so my FET is scheduled for the 14th of September (there was a scheduling error). If it fails, we will do a retrieval in late November or December.
Thank you guys! I go early afternoon. What's the general opinion on pineapple to help with implantation? I didn't buy one, and I'm wondering if I should go out of my way to get one.
Good luck!
It's actually pineapple core you'd need to eat and while I believe it can help I don't think it would really make a huge difference. I ate so much damn pineapple core in my days of TTC that bleh. I'm over it. I won't do it again.
Good luck fairfax! Iirc, G22 used an estrogen priming protocol for her 2nd (and ultimately successful) IVF cycle.
You've got a great memory Pooh! fairfax I did estrogen priming protocol for my 2nd IVF after the first round failed on the long lupron protocol.
I had to look up my protocol because its been over 3 years since I did it, so forgive my fuzzy memory. I did EPP for 4 weeks prior to begining my IVF cycle. Followed by Microflare Lupron, Menopur and Gonal F. 9 eggs retrieved, 4 fertilized, 2 transferred, 2 frozen. I did get a BFP with that cycle.
EPP worked well for me because I don't make a ton of eggs. I only got 4 the first IVF and of that 3 fertilized and only 2 made it to transfer day. So EPP basically doubled everything at retrieval/fertilization/etc.

My RE is so reassuring. I feel better after meeting with her. She really thinks we will get pregnant with one of these embryos. The protocol is super simple (oral estrogen, progesterone shots) and it looks like I’ll only have two monitoring appointments before transfer unless my lining fails to thicken appropriately.
I also got my embryo grades. I know nothing about embryo grading really but I think they look pretty good?
