Anyone have a mattress topper?
DH and I purchased a new mattress and it is more firm than I need/like. DH loves it, but I'm getting back and hip pain. I knew it was going to be more firm than I like, but figured I could more easily add cush for me than add firmness for DH.
How do you choose a mattress topper just by reading the reviews on Amazon? Does anyone sell them in person to check out?
When I was married I got twin sized one to put on my side of the bed, at Costco. It was great. But there was a height differential between my side and his side, and he hated it.
I tried lobbying for a sleep number bed, but XH was pretty attached to that mattress and I was unsuccessful at convincing him to change it.
Have you tried a pillow top mattress pad? I got mine at Macy's. The foam mattress toppers adjust my side vs his side to much to be comfortable, I kept falling off or laying half on half off.

186momx We have a decent Macy's here, I will take a look at the pillow top mattress pads.
freezorburn Thanks for your input. I was thinking about doing a Twin just for my side, but if I add a 3" topper that will be a decent height differential and I can see that being awkward for sleeping.
