Weekend was really good!
Friday night we ran a couple of errands and then went for ice cream. Saturday I ran, test drove a couple of cars and then we had a friend and her BF over for a fire in the fire pit. Sunday I went to yoga, then we had my mom over as P smoked some ribs and we showed her the wedding pictures.
My random is that I can't wait for Thursday! The photographer is coming over to the house and we are planning out what pictures we want to order for where. I am SO thrilled with out they came out!

My other random...I decided not to get the pretty blue car as I decided I am way too lazy to try and keep it looking good. I found another that I liked on Saturday but it's a coupe. Anyone currently have a coupe and if so, do you regret having only a two door?
Uggghhh....Monday! Can't I just have one more weekend day???
My weekend was sooo good! Friday night, I went to bf's house (seriously, I need a nickname for him on here) and we watched movies, talked and cuddled on the couch. He even nicely called me out on something, which was needed. Anyway, I slept over there and then came home in the morning because he was on a dragonboat team all day. I ran some errands with DD and took a nap.
Saturday night, I went back to bf's house and then to his friend's house, which is right next door, for his birthday party. I met a lot of his closest friends and they are seriously amazing. They all went around and gave me "advice" about him, which ended up them all saying really amazing things about how kind he is. Right in the freaking feels. They cooked out, we drank, sat around the bon fire singing and laughing. I grabbed his best friend, at one point, and we talked quite a bit. When we left, they all hugged me and told me how much they liked me. Slept over again and bailed early because his band was playing early morning.
Yesterday I ran some errands, spent time being annoyed at DD (she was being a real dick) and then took my friend's daughter driving since she's got her test this week.
It was a really good weekend! P.S. I'm totally smitten and freaking out about it lol!
bullygirl979, I had a 2 door coupe and HATED it. Solely because it was a PITA to get the dog in and out of the back seat. However, M has one currently with a 3rd door to the back passenger side (although I think they technically call it a "4th" door because they count the trunk hatch, LMAO) and it is not a big pain like my old one was.
The weekend went by entirely too quickly. However, I got out to brunch, I got to take naps, and I got to some yard work, so all in all, it was a pretty good time. WHY is the next 3 day weekend still another month away, though?

chalupa, good to know. I'm back and forth on it. My super practical side is all "NOOOOOOOOO! YOU NEED A FOUR DOOR!" but my fun side says "LISTEN! You rarely have more than 1 other adult in your car and you rarely haul stuff. BUY THE FUN CAR!"
The reality is that P has a mid-size SUV so if I ever needed to, we could swap cars. Plus, he likes this car (it's fast!) so he'd have fun driving it.
bullygirl979, I'm with you on not caring about my rare guests' comfort in my car, haha! And I never buy so many groceries that it wouldn't fit in the truck. However, my dogs ARE in the car more regularly, so picking up a 50lb beast to slide in the triangular opening behind a front seat was a colossal PITA. And letting Max scramble himself into the opening scratched both the paint and upholstery.

I had a mini cooper for years, the long doors sometimes get annoying when you are getting in/out. If you rarely have people in the back seat I wouldn't be too fussed. What kind of car?

A Mercedes E400. It's so pretty, the seats are ridiculous, and the zero to 60 is a hair over 5 seconds.
I have to travel 3.5 hours (one way) 1-2 times a month for work so I want something super comfortable for trips. But I also want something fun to drive. This seemed to check both boxes.
I had a really fun weekend. Friday evening I met a friend at a local bar/restaurant. It was funny, she saw this guy across the bar at one point and said he looked like someone I'd like. I was very meh about it. Later on, a guy sitting near us kept trying to talk with us when we clearly weren't having it. The guy my friend had pointed out earlier ended up near us when we were talking about a movie that guy 1 had never seen, so we asked if he knew about it. From there, he and I were talking all night, I ended up hanging out with him and his friends after my friends went home, and the woman he described as his best female friend was rooting for me with him. He's already asked me out for Thursday. My friend was totally right!
Saturday was water fitness and a bonfire with coworkers. Yesterday I needed to hermit and today I need to get myself out to run some errands. I need to start packing for my trip!

If you get the Merc, if they have options to help pay for maintenance warranty or tires go for it. German cars can be crazy. My Dh had a bmw 550 with super special tires. Those stupid things were $500+ each then the car had a few other issues that were all covered under the warranty. I currently have the little electric Bmw and it too has some crazy things. But damn if I don’t love how German cars drive.
bullygirl979, neonpink has some really good points. My mom was happy to get rid of her Mercedes because of maintenance stuff, but she did also enjoy it for a while.
Personally, I wouldn't want a coupe because I find the doors a bit more unwieldy and I like ease of access for passengers, but if you love the car, you love the car! We are very different on cars and that's totally okay! I have a dark red 4-door/sedan that's always parked outside (take about dirt). Get something you'll love driving, that's the most important thing.

neonpink, they are all super low mileage and CPOed so I would have warranty for a while. The Mercedes is a 2016 with 16000 miles on it. And P has owned a 335 for 11 years and (knock on wood) has never had an issue with it. Even if I don't take this one, I'm most likely getting a German car as my other favs thus far are an Audi A4 and a BMW 535. I also research cars to death so I'm pricing in oil changes, tires, insurance, etc. I go a bit overboard, hahaha.
And tiramisu, getting in/out is something to consider! I am definitely going back to look at it again as it was literally just listed for sale and in the process of getting certified.
My weekend was good. Friday night I did some patio sitting/cocktail drinking with two of my friends. Saturday I ran some errands during the day but mostly stayed home with the blinds closed so I could be a hermit. Sunday I cleaned and organized some around my condo.
Things are really good with me these days. I just started my new role and I'm super excited about it. Things are going SO WELL with C. He's pretty effing amazing. The one and only problem I have is that we are currently long distance. That won't last long though.
