1) Yikes, I wasn't able to get to the gym as much as I would have liked (only 2 CF workouts compared to my goal of 4), but I'm going to blame that on my husband's work schedule. And I ran 6 of the 7 targeted miles. I will blame that on the weather.

1)I had a really good bike ride this past weekend and had good workouts. Eating was not totally awesome. It could have been worse but I did a lot of snacking at night, which I haven't done in a while.
2) 2 swim, 2 run, 1 strength at minimum. I'd like to try to do a trial swim of 1.2 miles to see how long it really takes me b/c I'm becoming afraid I'm not going to make the cut off times for the race. But I tried to get it done this morning and 1500 yards in to my 2150 yard continuous swim, they made us all get out of the water. I was so mad and am not anxious to jump in and try the continuous swim again....
3) What are your nutrition goals for the week? I need to get back on track. Also, I had hit a plateau last week - which is kind of why I've gotten off plan, which of course doesn't help **hello unhealthy cycle**. To try to break through, my nutritionist tweaked my protein and fiber goals, so I'm going to try to make that happen this week.
4) Any non-scale victories? My coach and teammates were talking about how skinny I look. Which of course is ironic since I was eating poorly this week. Go me.
Bonus - do you listen to / read any healthy living themed podcasts or blogs?
I've read Chrissie Wellington's "A life without limits" and Meredith Atwoods "Triathlon for Everywoman" (written by a lady who is a lawyer and mom of a boy and girl...hello life twin!). I also enjoyed "Finding Ultra" by Rich Roll. I listen to Rich Roll's podcast too. Some are better than others, depending on the guest. But the ones where he interviews athletes are almost always amazing. (He interviewed Lance Armstrong about 6 months ago and man, that guy sounds like a total ass. So that was an incredible one, but not typical of a normal guest he has).
1) How did last week go? Good for exercise, so-so for food. I’m home on summer break and tend to stay up late, have drinks during the week, and eat crap. When I go back to work I know it will be easier.
2) What are your exercise goals for this week? Monday-did 3 miles at the gym Tues-rest/massage that was rescheduled from last week Wed-lift Thurs-6 Friday-3 Saturday-10 Sunday-rest
3) What are your nutrition goals for the week? Eat less crap.
4) Any non-scale victories? This weekends long run was a challenge bc DH had to work and we were busy in the evenings. Mid run Thursday I decided to push my 7 miler to 9, which would allow me to do the 7 easier during the weekend. However when he got home fro work it was so hot and he needed to mow the lawn. I suggested he do that then I ran at 7:15. 7 miles!!! At night-which is crazy for me. It actually went well.
Bonus - do you listen to / read any healthy living themed podcasts or blogs? No but mustardseed2007 I’m going to check out that Rich Roll audiobook Finding Ultra from my library now!

1. It was fine until Saturday haha. The pizza and wing bar was delicious but combined with a lot of rum led to a Sunday of bad food choices. My workouts were awesome. Wednesday had me feeling like I got hit by a truck for the first time in a while. 2. 3 crossfit and 3 cardio. We are starting a new challenge at the gym and my first bet is 3 cardio workouts in addition to the regular WODs. 3. Get serious again. 4. I rocked the shit out of the romper I wore to our reunion. Bonus - I follow SkinnyMeg on Instagram. She used to blog and does occasionally, but she's more of an IG person now. She does Crossfit and counts macros, but prior to that she lost 100 lbs the good old fashion way.

campermom, it was really good. I think that was one of the first endurance sports books I read and I've been chasing a book that's as good as that ever since.
I've also read Born to Run...I have to say I don't understand what other people see in it. I found parts of it interesting but much of it boring and hard to relate to vs. the Rich Roll book which was some how really relatable even though I have very little in common with him. I guess the human struggle aspect of it.
