Mushe, if ANYONE could not only have a baby, deal with stressful NICU stays, plus juggle regular life with a 5 year old AND run a marathon all within 6 months it would be you!
Mushe- you are amazing and inspiring! Way to go on the run- I bet it felt great!!
Registration for OC marathon opens tomorrow (for 5/5/19). It’s the race I BQ’d at in 2012 (and haven’t raced since). My dad really wants to go for it again this next year. I do too but in the back of my head wonder how I will be able to do the long runs (my dad says he will help with the boys but neither him or my step mom have really watched them much outside of nap time). I honestly think 2020 would be a better year, when both are in preschool and I can run without a stroller! But my dad isn’t getting any younger so it will be interesting to see how it all plays out!
Speaking of, maybe you know the answer...my Garmin forerunner 230 is so inaccurate with the stroller (because it relies on arm movement). Do any of the GPS watches work for running with a stroller? I am considering an Apple Watch if it will work. I need something that lifts me up when I run vs seeing such a slow pace that isn’t accurate and being frustrated (I am already running slow enough pushing a double stroller and 60 lbs of boys through these hills!).

luv2rn4fun, my Samsung Gear Fit 2 seems to have trouble with the stroller too. It's really annoying. I am finally starting to exercise again after WAY too long and it feels so good. I gained no weight during pregnancy and yet am up almost 15 lbs from when I delivered and DS is 16 months now. DW and I worked out a schedule for me to get in workouts, but marathon long runs would be tough.
I haven't posted in a long time, but I check over here frequently. We're trucking along. DS is 16 months and so cute and funny. DD is taking being a threenager very seriously. She's also in a HUGE mama mama mama stage, and DS is stuck like glue to DW. Which is funny after both of us worried about our bond with a non-bio kid.
luv2rn4fun go for it! In my MRTT group, I see a lot of mamas do their midweek runs with a stroller, and only the long runs on their own. They’re always so surprised at their non stroller pace!
I am useless on the watch, though. DS never really liked the stroller, so my BOB was sad and lonely.
Love of my life baby boy born 11/11. One and done not by choice; 3 years of TTC yielded 4 MMC and 2 CPs, through 4 IUIs and 2 IVFs. Focusing on making the world a better place instead...and running.

Good to see you back! Way to be getting back into working out too! I am lucky that my boys tolerate (and mostly enjoy) running with me in the stroller- it gets us out and I don’t have to worry about finding a time to go when DH is available. I honestly don’t know how it would go if I had to do long runs...lots of factors make this difficult (and would be easier the following year once they are both in preschool).
But, I do love how it feels now that I am running more consistent. It just might take a little longer to get back into things, which is fine with me but the longer I wait the harder it will be for my dad to qualify as well (he supports whatever I decide and we both know that neither of us might be able to qualify by next year).

Thanks! I just might- will have to see how much my dad can support this and how much DH is willing to help out (he’s not the most hands on and most parenting usually defaults to me since I SAH and he works a lot of hours).
I have run a couple times without the boys and am amazed at how fast I run! But it also seems like my biomechanics are also so different so I always feel injury like aches/pains without the stroller. It’s frustrating but also makes sense!
I hope B loves the stroller more than N did!! Both of my BOBs have been well used! DS1 really loves to run and DS2 is growing to like it as he gets older- the snack tray helps a ton with that! Plus, I play music for them too and always make sure we go somewhere fun afterwards (we often end our run at a park close to home so they can have some fun too)!

I sold my BOB, for just a little less than I paid for it, thanks to a H&F batsignal on an Amazon price drop. I saw that before I got the email alert from Camelcamelcamel! A friend from my MRTT group has said she’ll pass on her single to me, though. It should be good timing for when she’d be ready for it. I think I have to start early with it. Great idea to play music.

This is my DS too ::sadtrombone:: He is ok for about 3 miles, but anything more than that he gets antsy. I did a 10K with him last month and he whined and struggled to escape the last 2 miles before finally falling asleep about 100 feet from the finish line lol.
Anyway, yay for the run! And I agree, if anyone could throw marathon training in the mix its you!

DS2 was like that too. They are the same age and now he tolerates it pretty well. I give breakfast/snacks, play music, talk to him as he points at the cars or dogs, and lately he loves to just hold a toy or book. Maybe try to keep pushing the time/distance and see if he adjusts little by little? DS2 has been doing 1+ hour since birth, like it or not (had to get out with DS1...we walk a ton (park, grocery store for quick trips, preschool, bank, coffee, library, etc)

I hope you are able to get a new one and I hope B loves it! DS1 has always loved running with me (to the point where I have mom guilt not taking him) and it truly is special to share some of those moments with both of them, even if it makes it more difficult on me some days.

Lol! I love when kids pull jerk moves like that. DS would whine in the car for an hour, only to fall asleep 5 minutes from home.

A special thanks to the two nice ladies at the pharmacy who complimented my adorable kids and my parenting, but then confirmed that I definitely look pregnant. 😭
And because I apparently have no filter, I unloaded that I’m doing fertility treatments and that’s why I look like I am. At least they wished me luck? I’m all in my head about it now; looking pregnant while I’m doing all of these shots is just insult added to injury.
Trying for #3; FET 8/18 -- BFN. Leaving things up to chance for now... After three years, three IVFs, and two FETs, we finally have our miracle babIES!
((Hugs)) belovedbride07. I will never understand why some people feel the need to comment on anyone’s physical appearance. Good for you for speaking up- hopefully it was a learning lesson for them.
Ugh I'm sorry belovedbride07. Why do people have to be jerks about others' bodies?
A few weeks ago, actually 3 days after my retrieval and 2 days before my transfer (so like maximum bloat time, right?), one of the ladies at church asked if I was pregnant. I was actively trying to hide my bloat with my outfit choice that day, but I guess didn't do a good job. I told her no, we were in the middle of fertility treatments. Then she added that she's sorry, and she can't relate because she gets pregnant when her husband looks at her.

OMFG. How nice for her. What an asshole.
She's been BEC with me ever since. Which is sad because she is usually a really nice person and her kids and husband are cool. I just can't look at her the same.

I’ve been mostly lurking here pretty much since DS was born and usually see things I want to respond to but something (most often DS) comes between and when I come back to reply next day the conversation has moved on. But I guess I just have to ignore that if I ever want to post again
Today is CD1 which means today we start our FET cycle. I’m terrified and excited at the same time! It feels so different this time though. Like I don’t have that same desperate feeling of ‘this has to work’ as I did last time. I guess that might change if this ends up being more difficult than expected

Why do people have to comment on this? And as for her last comment good for her I guess. Lots of people (most I guess) don’t personally relate to IF but why do you need to say something like that? I would think some normal empathy would be enough to tell you it’s not easy to deal with IF but I guess some people are lacking in empathy or imagination.
mpc I have to admit that I kind of raised an eyebrow and probably made some comments about it to DH when my brother named his son the exact same name as the dog they had put down a year or so before. And I know I wasn’t the only one to react that way. And it did take me some time (probably longer for me since I had met the dog many times but didn’t even meet the boy until he was 2 years old) to think of a little boy instead of a big slobbering St Bernard dog when I heard the name. But by now I’ve almost forgotten they even had a dog
So I think if you really like the name don’t let the cat stop you. Yes some people might think it’s strange but they will get used to it and soon enough no one will think about the cat at all when they hear the name.

People suck. My friend told me she got pregnant with #2 when we were trying for a while. It was pretty obvious we were trying because we'd been married for about 2 years and had just bought a huge house in the suburbs. I was super happy for her and then she blurts out that they got pregnant the first month and her H was annoyed because he wanted to have more fun. I was like "uhhh---grass is always greener on the other side, I guess". And then I poured myself a double glass of wine. LOL
pooh8402, FUCK HER. sorrynotsorry. belovedbride07, I am sorry that the lady was a twat. I am glad you said you were not pregnant and I hope she felt hella uncomfortable.
So, you remember how I was beyond frustrated for being really sweaty all the time? Like, multiple showers a day, can't get dressed in the morning without being drenched kind of sweaty? I had testing done yesterday and will hopefully get results soon. The doctor I met with seems to think that I may be in early menopause. She said I am obviously young for it, but especially coupled with the fact that I had DOR, it could be my body starting menopause already. Which, I really do not care about as we know we do not want more kids, but I just want a solution to the problem, lol. Fingers crossed I get the results back soon so I can get some relief!
Found out this morning that I passed my 3hr glucose test, that was a huge relief. Pre-eclampsia symptoms have really retreated too, so things are looking up.
loira,luv2rn4fun, We booked a camping trip for beginning of Nov months ago, before I was pregnant. After reading your posts the other day I asked DH if he thought we could still go with a 4-5 week old and he laughed and said I was crazy. LOL. He's probably right. We love having a fire even if we don't cook on it, it gives something to do in the evening and after the kids are asleep. We camped last year at Disney and they don't allow fires. We sat around the picnic table after it was dark, like, what do we do now?

Your DH is right, that would be crazy with a 4-5 week old!
I highly doubt we go this season (unless we go in Nov and can have a fire). Although I do worry my DS2 with the fire...he has asthma so not sure how he will do with smoke. There is so much smoke in the air here right now so I am pretty much keeping us indoors, which is getting old (I did get out for a 5 mile run before it got too bad today).
Just got back from my RE. She gave us the results to my H's sperm analysis on Tuesday and it was....BAD. Under 200,000 and not motile. So--IVF it is. She said we could cycle this month if we want, but she recommends we wait one more month because DH just started Clomid last week and that takes at least 70 days. I have some work travel in October so that's not my preference (plus I'd like a baby before September 1st of 2019--LOL), but I see her point and so we'll just wait another cycle.
We do have 6 vials frozen, but she agreed that it doesn't always thaw well and we got so few embryos using that sperm last time that it's worth trying to see if we can get some better sperm than that.
Honestly, for some reason the bad sperm analysis shocked me. Even though it shouldn't since it was still better than his initial test 3 years ago of zero sperm. Haha So many friends who had IVF for round 1 got pregnant naturally for round 2 that I thought that would be me too. I'm a dummy.
icedcoffee, I'm sorry it's not the news you were hoping for. You're nota dummy, or at least, if you are then so am I. We also thought it would be easy the second time, using one of the 3 frozen embryos we had. And finding out that he had 100% anti-sperm antibodies meant that we would NEVER be able to conceive without help. So we've been there.
I do think the Clomid is worth it. We did several things to improve our chances, including clomid for my H. He was on it about 70-80 days prior to my retrieval and we had the best quality embryos we had ever had.
Huge hugs to you. I wish it had been better news for you.
icedcoffee, huge hugs! Don’t feel bad about hoping for a surpise or better news. I am sorry it looks like you’re headed for IVF again, but so glad it’s available.
Hugs shauni27. I had a ton of night sweats around the time I was diagnosed with severe DOR, but not daytime. I’m hoping it’s something else, so you don’t have to worry about hormone replacement when you’re so young.

Haha, yes, that would be difficult! I would not take a 4-5 week old camping, but I was a hot mess of anxiety in the newborn stage...
We're committed. We bought a new tent and everything because it's time to retire my parents' 30 year old Eureka. We won't go if it's pouring rain though. I know we're west coast but I have limits when it comes to bad weather. Definitely no fire for us because the fire ban usually lasts well into September.
