Summer has been so hectic. When it feels like a few days have gone by, the calendar tells me it was really a few weeks, and I rarely know if a given day is a Monday or a Friday anymore. So sorry for being around so infrequently. Anyway...

Challenge: If something is disorganized, get it organized so your life can run smoother.

DS is with his dad for the rest of the month. First time we will have been apart for so long.
I have a massive to-do list to tackle, much of it has to do with getting the house organized. Hopefully some time for rest and self-care here and there
We’ve had a hard couple of weeks. DH lost his job due to college budget cuts, so that’s been stressful. DD had a stomach bug, which was the first time she’s had diarrhea since she was a baby. Ugh, so much laundry. I mostly lost my sense of smell a few years back, so I couldn’t tell she’d gone in her pants right away. Many discussions of “tell someone if you have an accident”, which went nowhere.
In good news, we got a new puppy on Saturday. My favorite dog passed away in December; I WFH, so we were together a lot. Hopefully Duncan will be my new work buddy:
As for organizing, I really need to go through our clothes. I’ve bought sizes ahead for DD, and we also have some hand-me-downs that need to be sorted. Don’t want to miss pulling out any of the fall sizes that we already have.
We are back from a camping vacation. It's a lot of work and not a lot of self care kind of the opposite with all the dirt. But it was soul care to be out in nature, and the kids did great. I was super nervous.
Back to more of the traditional self care of caring for skin and working out that kind of thing hopefully this week. I do need a show or movie to watch while working out if anyone has any suggestions. Nothing scary, and something attention grabbing. I get bored easily with a lot of movies and books.
