I wish I could start looking forward to school starting but it is another 4 weeks away. Last night at gymnastics I was talking with one of DD's friends dad and we were both saying how we needed to remember to schedule a couple down days each week next summer as both of the girls were dragging during practice from being busy at day camp all day. It doesn't help that the rest of her class is now 9 to 11 year olds who seem to have much more stamina than a couple new 7 year olds.
My DD has such tiny feet compared to everyone else. She is 7 and wears between a toddler 11 and 12. She can stand with both feet side by side on the 4inch balance beam and they completely fit still.
186momx - small feet are so hard!! DD turns 11 next month and is a 13 or 1. 13s are a pain because they are more babyish - way smaller selection. She is wearing boys’ shoes (Adidas Sambas) because all the girls’ shoes in her size were pink/purple/sparkle/glitter or ugly/plain - at three stores. It’s one of my rants. When she was going into kinder we shopped for two weeks to find blue tennis shoes instead of pink. I can remember the exhaustion of hours of walking and searching with three kids. That taught me not to assume or promise anything ever - stupid of my to think toddler sizes would not all be anything but blue!
