It feels so weird that H is here! Second shift starts today. He went grocery shopping with me, which was a mistake lol. My quick and easy shopping trip turns into random stuff and spending more money then planned.
Nothing really going on this week. I do start the cna class tomorrow. It’s only 3 days this week and 3 days next week.
We are getting our Disney Annual Passes this week! Saturday we are planning on going to Magic Kingdom with the ILs. I know it’s going to be busy but I’m so excited to go!
Had a good ultrasound this morning. Tried to book my first appointment with my OB but the receptionist said she's no longer booking for March deliveries. I said that I worked with her on L&D aand she had already agreed to take me as a patient. The receptionist said she'd ask the doctor and call me back. That was 4 hours ago. ETA: it's booked now. They blamed busy morning (it being Monday, that's likely true).
We're going to visit my BFF this weekend! We're going to leave Thu night and stay at a hotel that night since she works Fri, then we'll stay at her house. So far the plans are a science center (can't remember the name of it), possibly the zoo, local baseball game if it's not too hot, and maybe a children's museum on the way home. I'm super excited for the little mini vacation! Plus she hasn't met A yet so that will be fun!

Ermergerd!!!! I went to do laundry and I got back to the apartment to find a smiling H who just bought our Disney World annual passes!!! I’m so excited!!! We are going for the day Saturday with the ILs! FIL is so excited lol.
pooh8402- glad your u/s went well and you were able to get your first OB appointment booked!
estrellita- hope you guys have the best weekend! Sounds fun!
Today: ran 4.8 miles, bagels and 2 grocery stores, built Legos with C, laundry almost done, and currently grilling dinner while the boys nap!
Tomorrow: I babysit our friends boys.
Thursday: probably the regional park and trip to Costco.
DH and I want to take the boys camping. I would love to go this weekend but he’s on Jury Duty commitment through this week so not sure if that will happen (also talking about the weekend of 8/24-8/26...or we just might not make it this summer, who knows). So I will need to back and grocery shop again if we do decide to go.
Otherwise, I would like to run 2-3 more times, normal chores, maybe some time at the lake since it’s so hot. Might try to convince DH to go paddle boarding at the harbor while I take the boys for a run and then some time at baby beach.
Pretty easy week for me. Taking the dog to the vet on Wednesday.
Saturday we are having a family bday party for DS with H's family. I am a little mad because my SIL scheduled my nephew's bday party for DS's actual bday which I am side eyeing maybe because she is BEC to me or because it is legit wrong but we aren't going.
melsamoony - That's not cool, BEC or not. Does she not know when your DS's birthday is, or is she being purposely rude in her planning?
I wouldn't go, either.
Yeah, all of this. Maybe it was an honest mistake- I would sure hope so! I would have zero issue not going, although that stinks for your nephew. Maybe you can plan a special day to celebrate him?
I’m out of town tomorrow & Wednesday and coming back Thursday around noon. Meeting my dad in Chicago. Then my mom is coming to visit this weekend! It’s a busy week!
Oh and I FINALLY got hubs to go through his clothes and I have a huge donate pile!!! It’s been 6 months of asking haha! Loveeeeeee getting rid of stuff
Today we did groceries and then dropped a bunch of stuff off at the consignment store. I meal prepped a ton- made 5lbs of chicken cutlets, roasted sweet potatoes, sauteed broccoli, egg muffins, lactation bites for SIL. Then, we drove most of the food over to SIL's house, keeping a small portion for our own dinner. I am dying to see my 1 week-old nephew, but he was a preemie so I didn't want to risk bringing my own kids into their house. I left the food on the porch.
Tomorrow my college roommate is coming for a visit. She has never met G which is crazy! We might take the kids into the pool if she is feeling brave.
No real plans Weds or Thurs- but Friday we're traveling to my parents again. H has to work, but he will meet us there after work. This is the last real weekend we have free in summer so we have to make a visit there before things get too crazy. This weekend will be spent packing for vacation! We are off to the beach for a few days next week. I'm excited but stressed about the amount of stuff we will have to bring and seriously starting to doubt if it will all fit in the car.
So exciting wineandcheese! I haven’t been to WDW since I was a kid and that was only one time. I can’t wait until our boys are old enough to go.
We moved from my parents’ house to the IL’s today, lol. They’re on vacation so at least we have the house to ourselves. I had to go by the house tonight and I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re not done until Wednesday.
DS1 goes back to preschool tomorrow, but other than that we just need to get back in our house this week.
Blue Moon- that was really nice of you to make all that good for your SIL! I hope you get to meet your nephew soon! Good luck packing this weekend and getting it all in the car...we managed to pack for a 9 day road trip and it all somehow fit in my DH’s Prius! I put all of L’s clothes in the diaper bag, C in his preschool backpack, and mine was in a duffle bag. We only brought the single stroller and baby carrier, i put all the toys we brought in a fabric basket and put it up front with me so they could be entertained on the trip (but doing this kept the toys to a minimum and on the smaller side). Good luck- it was stressful for sure but totally doable!

You give me hope! The pac n play and stroller take up a lot, plus beach related things- umbrella, chairs, giant beach cart, etc. I’m trying to convince H to at least leave the chairs at home.
Blue Moon- what kind of car do you have? I would definitely leave the chairs at home if there’s no room! We brought a PNP and toddler cot too. By packing smaller “suitcases” (backpack, diaper bag, etc), it allowed for those items to be stuffed on the floor in front of the car seats).
christy082- I am so sorry to hear about HFM. Neither of us have ever had it and I seriously dread the day we do because I have read here and FB groups about how bad it is. Our neighbors kids just had it and we stayed so far away for awhile to avoid getting it. Hope you all are better soon! ((Hugs)) and prayers!
luv2rn4fun- tips for camping. (You asked last week but I never answered): -make sure you pack extra of all clothing, and diapers. -Make sure the toys you bring can you used outside and possibly inside the tent, just incase it rains. -my biggest advice would be to not stress over how dirty they get. (This will save you a lot of anxiety in the long run) 🙂
melsamoony- I would be upset as well, and I probably wouldn’t go either.
Blue Moon- that was so nice of you! Your sister is so lucky to have you around.
This past weekend we went camping with my family and some friends. We had so much fun. On the way home yesterday we witnessed an accident. (DH and I were in 2 different vehicles as he was in our hometown for 14 days and I was there only the last 4.) Anyways when we were driving home there were 3 vehicles between us and all 3 of them collided. DH barely missed them, and the car behind me just missed me. I don’t know if I have been more terrified in my life. (As I saw it all unfold in my rear view mirror, and I didn’t know if DH was involved)
luv2rn4fun , we have a small SUV with a decent amount of trunk space so we should be able to get a lot in there. The overnight Friday at my parents is throwing me off because we need to pack a lot of the same stuff for that trip as we do for the bigger trip, only in smaller bags.
awick14 , that sounds terrifying. So glad you guys are all okay!
christy082 , ugh HFM is the worst! B and I had it a few years ago and it was awful. If your daughter has any mouth sores, there is something called magic mouthwash that you could use to help make it a little more bearable. B didn't eat anything at all for 6 days, but I was fortunately still nursing at the time so she got some nutrition from that. She liked to suck on frozen watermelon spears and I occasionally used a medicine syringe to squirt Pedialyte into her mouth because I was so worried about dehydration. Hope you both feel better very soon!

Thank you! She complains of a sore throat but it doesn't look terrible, so I'm happy about that. She'll drink milk and a little water, and will eat ice cream, eggs, and cooled mac and cheese, for the most part. I guess it's better than nothing!
We both had two days of unrelenting itching and it was just awful. Nothing helped. Glad that part is over.
