There's hope that I might actually get my new fence this week! H told me yesterday that he's going to start digging post holes today. Fingers crossed that it actually happens, because not having a fence is really stressing me out.
Tuesday - My grandma is having surgery. Her health is not great and she had a pretty major stroke after her last surgery (which also happened to be on Aug 14), so if anyone has any T&P they could send her way that would definitely be appreciated.
Wednesday - Anatomy Scan.
Friday - H is taking the day off and we're going to visit his grandparents at the coast. We haven't seen them since last summer, so it'll be really fun to go out there.
I'm also going to pick up my mom's sewing machine at some point this week so I can start working on my quilts this weekend. Eventually I'll need to invest in my own machine, but for now I'm just going to borrow hers while she isn't using it.
Home with both kids for the first 3 days of this week. I'm not used to this so just trying to survive Also trying to figure out how to fit in some volunteer time.
Birthday on Thursday, grilling out kebabs and having cake. Then date night on Saturday to celebrate with DH.
Contractor is coming over at some point to fix and replace a few things. I need to pick up a new faucet at Lowe's ASAP.
I'm off today just getting caught up on laundry and rest, haha. Other than that, no actual plans. H wants to go up to where his parents are camping this weekend just for the day. I have mixed feelings, lol. I want to, but it's kind of a long drive for just the day, especially after just driving out to see my BFF. So we'll see what we decide later this week!

How long of a drive is it? When I'm considering a day drive, I usually try to balance whether I'll spend more time in the car or more time at my destination. If it takes me longer to drive there and back than the amount of time I'll be there, I tend to lean toward not going.

Prayers for your grandma and your a/s katespade! I hope your fence gets fixed too! Also, wish we lived closer because I have two sewing machines right now- I would totally give you one (although the one I would probably give was my moms and I am not sure I am ready emotionally to give it away- but having two machines is silly...)
ewall- good luck these 3 days! And happy happy birthday! Enjoy celebrating!
Today- already ran 5 miles (ran 0:25/mi pace faster than previous times and 9:05 pace the first 4 miles...with the boys), bagels and groceries are done, dinner is prepped, laundry is in the dryer! Pretty productive for 10:40! Need to grill dinner, fold laundry and have C paint a card for my dads bday on weds.
Tuesday- running and playing at the regional park before going to Costco
Wednesday- dads bday so we are running at the harbor, either swimming at baby beach or their community pool (C votes beach so we’ll see), and then lunch with my dad before coming home for naps.
Thursday- either park or lake.
Friday- run and either park or lake.
Saturday- birthday party for neighbor kid (turning 4).
Need to run one day over the weekend. Normal chores too. Sunday will need to spend some time prepping for our trip to Disneyland on Monday morning!

Busy week for us! Already ran errands this morning and took R for a walk so I feel like this day has just been flying by (I need more time to get stuff done!)
Tomorrow I'm potentially meeting up with an old friend (she used to be one of my BFFs before we had a falling out) She's in the area for work and asked if I wanted to get together and I said yes....I had actually been thinking about her recently in terms of "maybe we should talk." So we'll see.
My MIL flies in on Wed, R's birthday is on Thursday, and we're having a small birthday party for immediate family at the house on Sat. We have a lot of running around to do to pick up stuff for the party plus there's a bunch of stuff I need/want to do around the house.
We're off on our first family vacation as soon as the kids get up from rest time/nap! Headed to Jersey shore for 4 days- looking forward to taking the kids on the boardwalk, G seeing the ocean for the first time, and just having time with the 4 of us. The amount of stuff we have packed is really absurd but the Airbnb we're staying at didn't provide much (but is a great location). It will be interesting I'm sure!
Tuesday is our 9 year anniversary so we're going to attempt to go to a nicer restaurant at the beach. No other real plans for the vacation- just hoping the weather holds out so we can get some beach days in.
We'll be back home Thursday night and then Friday we're supposed to go to visit some gardens with ILs. I might bow out of those plans though, depending on whether anyone sleeps on vacation. Saturday ILs offered to keep both kids for the night so H and I can go out and properly celebrate our anniversary.

Happy anniversary Blue Moon! Have fun on your trip, we're going to NJ in a few weeks for a wedding and the day after we're planning to do the boardwalk. I can't wait!

It's a little over 2 hours, so not really that bad. We could easily leave after breakfast, spend most of the day, and leave after dinner to get back at a reasonable time. It's just needing to pack up my pump and stuff for the kids that really bugs me, lol. But at least we wouldn't be packing overnight stuff or needing to set up the tent or anything. Also I'm afraid H's cousin will be there with her FI that thinks it's totally cool to smoke weed right in front of my kids (we went back inside immediately when I realized what he was doing). So if he's there I really don't want to go.
We’re back in our house! We “moved back in” Friday night. It is so, so much better upstairs and a lot more comfortable to sleep since all our bedrooms are up there.
I need to do so much laundry this week. I think I might take DS2 to Target tomorrow after we drop DS1 off at school.
Our dog has to go to the vet on Wednesday to get her teeth cleaned. I’m starting to get nervous about it because they have to sedate her. I have no reason to think it won’t go well, but she hasn’t had to do anything like this since she was fixed as a puppy.
katespade GL today! How did the surgery go yesterday? Blue Moon Happy Anniversary! ewall Happy Birthday!! HoneySpider How was the meet up with your friend? Happy Birthday to R and I hope you guys have a great party!
Long rant: My grandma fell twice yesterday. Once in the morning when she dropped ice on the floor and tried to pick it up - hitting the back of her head from the fall, and once in the evening when she was trying to get her pajamas on and missed the chair while trying to sit down. She had the fire dept out both times to help her get up and they took her to the hospital for scans and whatnot last night. I guess things must have been okay because my mom text me last night saying she had my grandma home and in bed. I just felt like screaming and then throwing up after my mom told me about the second fall. I was at my grandma's last night to make her dinner and offered to help her get dressed but she wouldn't let me. I've told my mom several times I don't think it's safe for my grandma to live alone but I can't actually do anything about it. I'm just so frustrated and scared about the whole situation.
In good news - DH's birthday is Sunday. Saturday we will be going to his parent's house for a joint birthday party. This month is DH's, BIL's, and SIL's birthdays. MIL makes 3 cakes and we do one big birthday dinner. I love going out there in August! Mmmmm cake.
We got our first family vacation booked for October! Staying in a cabin at a state park not too far away. I'm more excited about it then I thought I would be. This is our first vacation since I was pg with G!

bk1 I’m sorry about your grandma. It’s so frustrating and scary.
I applied for a job I have no background in at all and probably not even close to the qualifications but it sounded interesting so I applied. Well I have an interview in 30 minutes lol. I know I won’t get it but I do need the interview experience so I agreed to go. Another job I actually want called yesterday to chat and the person I talked to was going to talk to her Operations manager about getting me an interview. I’m hoping to interview for that.

bk1- so sorry to hear about your grandma. That is so scary and due to personal experience (my mom fell and couldn’t get up and that’s what ultimately led to her death...she had been down on the floor for 2-3 days before my aunt found her) I would keep pushing for her to live with someone, in assisted living, etc. it sounds like she has a medical alert bracelet? That is something my brother fought my mom on and wish he would have won (she was stubborn and refused, plus she wouldn’t wear it anyways if she were against it) but it would have saved her life. ((Hugs)). Great news on the vacation and birthday celebration though!
Wishing you all the best with your job hunt @wineancheese!!
We had a great time celebrating my dads birthday today! Six mile run at the harbor, played at baby beach, and then went to a loca burger place for cheeseburgers and French fries!

bk1, I'm so sorry about your grandma, that is so scary.
The meetup with my friend was ok, thanks for asking. It was kind of awkward (we've barely talked for the last 5 years) but overall it wasn't bad catching up. I doubt we'll ever be great friends again but maybe can at least be friends which works for me.
luv2rn4fun She does have a medical alert necklace. I just finished talking to my mom. Apparently one of the doctor's did suggest it was time for assisted living. I've been saying that for months but my mom and grandma are both against it. A lot of it is financial, but my grandma doesn't want to leave her house and my mom will do anything to make my grandma happy. My mom did make the comment that it was less then a month ago my grandma was in the ER. I told her again they should get my grandma's name on the waiting list now because it does take some time. My mom is just staying at my grandma's for now. I have no idea how long that will be though.

Glad she has the medical alert necklace and that the doctor suggested assisted living. Sounds like baby steps in the right direction. Praying your mom and Grandma work something out that everyone is ok with. I know my mom insisted living the rest of her life on her own vs one of us or my aunt (she was willing to stay with my aunt after liver transplant (never happened) but only for the shortest possible time). It’s so hard to give up independence but it’s also really hard on everyone else that worries about you. ((Hugs)) and prayers for all of you.

Oh gosh bk1 that is hard. My grandmother also is super resistant to assisted living. Losing independence is super tough. Luckily my grandmother has agreed to pay someone to come help her get dressed and undressed and bathe so that helps.
DS's bday is this weekend. Otherwise just a normal week.
