Hi all! I'm back from my trip! Vietnam was awesome. Food was delicious, people were friendly, and the work stuff that I was there to do went well. I did a couple cooking classes on the weekend when I wasn't working and toured the Cu Chi tunnels (where the Viet Cong hid during the Vietnam War) and the War Remnants museum. The highlight of the trip might have been getting upgraded to business class for the 5-hr flight from HCMC to Tokyo, though. That was really nice!

I'm a little cranky today and frustrated with work. For the second time in a week someone gave me misinformation, which I've relayed to a client. Then I (and the company) look stupid because we are caught with our pants down. Blarg.
On a positive note, I did a lot of research and I'm pulling the trigger on that camera lens. I found a meet up group devoted to photography and I joined it, so I'm looking forward to meeting some people and learning some more stuff!
Welcome back udscoobychick!! Glad to hear your trip went so well!
bullygirl979 I'm sorry that keeps happening. Good news on the camera front, though.
My parents keep trying to add to my list of things to do while I'm visiting my grandmother. It's starting to stress me out and I didn't realize that they were viewing this as me being here to check up on her and make sure she's doing what she's supposed to be doing. Even the list of restaurants they keep giving and saying "be sure to do this and that" is frustrating. I reminded my mom I'm going into NYC tomorrow and her response was that she thought is figured it out, after both of them told me not to change my plans. So yeah, some parts of this trip are not going the way I'd hoped. I was a little nervous this morning that I'd go downstairs and my grandmother would've forgotten I was here. Luckily that didn't happen.
I had a full on meltdown yesterday with DD. Started with yelling which led to crying. It was not a great night. We're good now, but man, this shit is not for the faint of heart.
