Oh Monday....

How in the world is it already Monday?? How was your weekend? I see a few of our lovely ladies had a gtg this weekend!

My weekend was really good, but it was soooo quick! Friday I hung out with DD for a bit and then she found fun things to do with her friends so I cleaned the house, grocery shopped and binged Rattled. Not terribly exciting.

Saturday I went to yoga, prepped food stuff and the hung out with the bf. I couldn't come up with any real thing to do, so we went to his friends' house for a drink, then the two of us went out for dinner and then ice cream. I introduced him to Ozark, so we watched a few episodes of that.

Yesterday was my friend's bridal shower, so that was fun! It was very low-key, but lovely and she was happy, so that's all that matters. Random thing - I ran into one of DS's daycare teachers (from when he was like 3) at the shower. I didn't realize she was friends with my friend. Anyway, DS had a pic of the two of them on his dresser for years because they just loved each other. Fast forward 11ish years and she remembers me and how he used to call me "mamacita" when I'd pick him up lol! I totally forgot he did that!

Anyway, it was a lovely weekend, but I cannot believe it's over already I only have a week left with DD at home...Ugh!

Weekend was good...went out to dinner on Friday night, which was fun.

Saturday started out as a bit of a clusterfvck...headed out to mail a package to my sister before my dance performance, and when I got to the post office, I realized I forgot my wallet. I didn't have time to go get it before the performance, but thankfully I had an emergency $20 in my purse. Got to the studio for the performance and realized that I had forgotten all of my makeup at home, too. Thankfully, several ladies had makeup that they could lend me, so I cobbled something together. And my routine went pretty well, so that was good.

Sunday, I WFH a lot, did some gardening, and went wine tasting with CWs. I'm sad the weekend is over!

Weekend was so much fun, just too short! I'm dragging a bit today.

P's birthday is on Friday and I've been slacking on my planning. I need to come up with a gift idea and dinner idea posthaste.

Weekend was a great time! Just too short, like everyone's saying. I wish I could've stayed longer!

When I got back to my grandma's yesterday, I had to clean up because she'd had a rather messy accident. I'm now upgraded to an even more legroom seat for my flight home and plan to have a drink or two. I'm glad to be headed home to my cats and no one else to adult for but myself, though I'll miss being in NJ.

udscoobychick I'm glad everything worked out for package mailing and for your performance!

doriswe I can't believe you only have one more week with DD at home! How is she feeling? Any updates on her bloodwork?

I need a recovery day from the weekend. Or a nap. Max is acting like I was gone FOREVER AND EVER and has refused to leave my side since I returned from a whopping 2 days away. I can hear Loki snoring all the way downstairs, so I guess he didn't miss me, haha.

M leaves on Wednesday for a full week away. I am making myself the world's longest list of deep-cleaning tasks for while he's away. It will be nice when no one is here to ruin all the cleaning I just did (but I'll be really, really glad when he's back, anyway)

My weekend was nice but short. I got home from a work trip on Saturday morning. C was with me on the trip and then came and spent the rest of th weekend with me. Saturday we went to my friend’s tennis match and then went and got something to eat with another friend. Saturday night we sat our lazy butts on the couch and watch 3 episodes of The Sinner which I really liked. Sunday we had brunch with friends and ran some errands before I had to take C to the airport.

My news is we’ve decided I’m moving to where he lives. We’ve started looking at real estate and the plan is to have me moved by hopefully Christmas. There will be a ring too...probably in the next few months. 🤗

This summer has flown by and I'm not ready for her to go She's super anxious about everything. I know she'll be okay and she's got a really good attitude about it, so I'm putting on my happy face! She's feeling better. They have no idea what the infection was, but they ruled out Lymes. She took the antibiotics and is better, so I guess that's a plus. She's been telling me she's a "medical mystery" because she keeps getting the weirdest stuff (mono for 7+ months), random dislocated knee stuff with no real reason why.

Kidding (obviously)! You guys looked great and looked like you were having so much fun.
I had a good weekend as well, but it was way too short. H and I went to a musical at a brewery. We've been to the same show before a couple of times and we always have a blast. It was hysterically funny.
We went out for ice cream after.

We also went to Art in the Park on Saturday, which was great - the weather was perfect for it.

kaneen, you CANNOT just drop that little bomb and walk away without providing more deets.

I am exhausted. I drove 900 miles last week out to my cousin's house, packed up her belongings as fast as can be and then turned around and drove the 900 miles back.
She is in a bad marriage and needed to leave but didn't know how. Her husband was gone on a golf weekend so this was the perfect opportunity to get her out.
She is going to be living with me for awhile.

I was a horrible teenager to my mom. Absolutely a bitch. As an adult I’ve told her I’m sorry for being such a brat. We are very close now.

This gives me a glimmer of hope...she's been a real dick the last few weeks.

ETA: We're normally very close so this is a change that I'm struggling with.
