Sorry I'm late!
1) How did last week go? 2) Nutrition goals for the week? 3) Exercise goals for the week? 4) Non-scale victories?
Bonus - There are only 24 hours in a day - which is never enough. What gets sacrificed in your life due to time constraints? Family time? Sleep? Work? Exercise? Me-time? Something else? If none of the above because you have found perfect balance in your life - share your secrets.

Last week I was just shy of my mileage target, but got an extra CF workout in, so I'm happy. We've been better with our meals and planning at home, but the ice cream fairy made a stop by our freezer at some point. So, I'm practicing self-control there!
Trying to get more veggies into our bellies.
3 CF / 8 miles
NSV - I did a 2 mile run with a buddy this week while pushing DD2 in the stroller. It was at a 12:30 pace, which is a huge improvement over how slow I usually run with a stroller.

1. I got 3 CF and 2 runs in. I got hit with an upper respiratory infection on Friday so I missed my 3rd run for the week. Food was great until Friday. I did not hit my birthday weight loss goal. I missed it by 1.5 lbs. I'm hoping to see it next week but if I dont it wont be the end of the world. 2. 3 cf, 3 runs. DH and I did a birthday WOD yesterday and it kicked my ass and it was awesome. We did 29 reps of 8 movements and 290 jump ropes. Our coach was there and put a 29 minute cap on it. I got it done! 3. Not feel guilty about my celebrations this week but also stay on track 4. The fact that I wanted to workout intensely on my birthday is a victory. I also rowed 1989 meters which is the longest I've ever rowed. Bonus: I usually sacrifice sleep for me time but that me time is not effective since it's late and I'm usually just playing on my phone or watching TV. I try to look at all of those categories in 1 week periods. For example, we can't get whole family time everyday because there are 3 days/nights a week that DH isn't home. I try to make sure we have at least one or two days or evenings where its family time.

1) How did last week go? I took last week off to be with the kids before school started. Of note I was able to work in a personal training session with a swim coach, a fun bike ride and a 9 mile trail run that was a TOTAL blast. I love trail running it's so gorgeous. Eating could have been worse but it wasn't totally awesome. Since I was taking vacation days I didn't eat on time and ate some junk food. 2) Nutrition goals for the week? I'm back at work so eating healthy should be better. 3) Exercise goals for the week? Follow the exercise in my training peaks, and do another bike ride in the hills on saturday. 4) Non-scale victories? I enjoyed that trail run.

Question: do any of ya'll who run use a hydration backpack that you like? We're going to try to go monthly to run on the trails and I'd like one that holds gels, is big but not too big (I'm petite), and doesn't squish my sizable boobs (I'm petite with large boobs).
mustardseed2007, I have something similar to this for my daypack. It is designed for women so fits good with my big boobs. I hike with it, bike with it, go to the zoo, etc. It holds my wallet, small first aide kit, keys, tissues, and snacks. I also can throw my over shirt in it.
1) How did last week go? Good for runs, not for food. Same answer every week.
2) Nutrition goals for the week? I give up. Next week I’ll go back to work and have more structure.
3) Exercise goals for the week? Get all my runs in. 10 mile race on Saturday.
4) Non-scale victories? Not really anything.

I’m still on summer break so it’s not hard. But this week is my last week of bliss. Marathon training plus working FT plus 3 young kids-so here we go. We have a tight schedule. I balance out the runs so that I’m doing them at the same time as sports practice. Soccer-laps around the field, fencing-up and down outside the club. I get up early one weekday a week. I do a group run 1 night a week. DH also goes to the gym so we alternate pickups, and I lift one day a week right after work rather than coming home and heading out. So I will miss a little family time, a little sleep, etc. Lots of time savers like house cleaners, ordering grocery pickup when I need it, and meal prep shortcuts.
Overall though I’m absolutely dreading going back to work bc I know how crazy busy it’s going to be.
Marathon working moms-how have you done it? I’m on week 7 of 18 so my midweek mileage isn’t even high yet.
mustardseed2007 I just bought a camel back circuit. I have no boobs but I noticed how easy it is to adjust while I’m running. Even as my water goes down I can easily tighten it up with one hand. Also I YouTubed how to fill it and reduce the sloshinesss. That made a huge difference.
