1. TTC #1 since April 2018. Cycle 5. CD7. 2. I will start OPKs next Monday at CD12. Las month was a long cycle for me (33 days) and I ovulated on CD18. I think it will be more around CD16 this time. 3. I will need a new car. I am thinking about getting the Hyundai Santa Fe Sport. I whish it had better gas mileage though. 4. What thermometer do you use for your BBT? I just got one from Amazon and it sucks. The readings are inconsistent, by like 1°F sometimes. Right now I am using a $8 CVS thermometer. It doesn't go to the 1/100th degree but I don't see how the difference between 97.56 and 97.58 can tell you anything more.
1. Where are you at on this journey? ttc1, CD8. Cycle 5 since working with an RE
2. Any upcoming tests? I go for monitoring appt on Friday. Just finished my last letrazole pills on Monday (7.5mg), if all is good than we'll trigger that night and should be set for IUI next week
3. If you end up with a BFP, what changes will you have to make? Biggest change would be budget and really cutting back on spending
4. Questions? How are you guys keeping your mind off things if you're working with an RE? Keeping busy during the 2WW? I feel like I'm going insane trying to figure out did the letrazole work since I don't notice anything different.
1. TTC#2 cycle 2 CD 27 2. I’ve been using OPKs. No positive in sight. No temp rise. I’m annoyed thought because my son keeps joining us in bed and I think his hot little body is elevating my temps because the days I’m not at home, my temp is lower. So temping is not working for me. Sex isn’t working either. I drove an hour home yesterday because I think I’m close to ovulation. Well, sex was pretty unsuccessful. So I’m annoyed. I don’t know how I’m going to get pregnant living an hour away from home during the week. 3. We’d need to get a bigger house to get another bedroom. 4. We had TTTC last time, 20 months. Did a cycle of clomid in April 2013, not pregnant. Didn’t cycle in May, got pregnant. Will clomid linger? Because I was not ovulating for the year before doing the clomid. Also, how long would you wait before seeing someone? Because if it takes as long this time, I will not survive.

I'm no help since I don't use any thermometer or OPK's. I had asked my RE about those when we first started seeing him and he said it's not worth the price of it for me. We were told the only to really be accurate is through monitoring. Hopefully someone else will have better advise for you.

If you already know that you have a history of not ovulating naturally, go see a doctor now. You can start with your GYN if you don't want to go straight to an RE.

I agree. Given your history I would see a doctor now.

The cheap CVS one worked great last month so I'll stick with it I guess. I could clearly see ovulation (confirmed with OPK results and CM) and my temp was 1 degree higher on average during the luteal phase.

Echo'ing what everyone else said. Go and see an RE. Honestly I regret not going to an RE sooner and it took urging from others on this board for me to do so. We went to an RE in April of this year and since then have done FAR more than anything my OB ever did. Just the amount of testing (blood and HSG, DH's SA) moved much quicker and we got far more information than I could ever have imagined.
Thanks guys, that’s how I was leaning but I didnt want to seem like I was jumping the gun. I had to get a new OB/GYN since I’ve moved. I saw a RE the first time who did blood work and a saline sono and gave me the clomid. My new OB/GYN said that sometimes things resolve after having a baby and you’re most fertile after having an IUD removed. Well, I don’t think I ovulated last month and this month is not looking good. I’ll have to find a RE around here.

I don't mind!!!!!!!!!!
1. Where are you at on this journey? TTC#2 since 2017. CD18
2. Any upcoming tests? We actually timed sex right and then, well, ya know, it wasn't productive...so no
3. If you end up with a BFP, what changes will you have to make? Drinking...though even with last pregnancy I didn't give it up completely (glass of wine or light beer occasionally)
1. Where are you at on this journey? Cycle 3, CD 24, 4-5 DPO.
2. Any upcoming tests? Not for at least a week.
3. If you end up with a BFP, what changes will you have to make? Bigger car for me to accommodate 2 car seats. We might move. We’re just renting our house right now but we like the area and DS starts school in 2019 so we’d need to do it before that and before baby comes.
1. Where are you at on this journey? TTC #2, Cycle 3, Day 21. This cycle has been super confusing. I got a peak OPK on CD12, but no temp rise. I started testing again and got another peak yesterday. Still no major temp rise, so we will see.
2. Any upcoming tests? Maybe next week if I can confirm ovulation.
3. If you end up with a BFP, what changes will you have to make? None right now.
4. Questions? Do you trust an OPK or your chart? Have you ever gotten 2 peak days using the clear blue easy advanced digital OPK?

I don't trust any of the OPK's or a chart. I have PCOS though so everything for me is pretty much off. The only thing I'm trusting at this point is the monitoring/ultrasound appts I have from the RE which is measuring follicle count/size etc.
vmars, I trusted the OPKs results + my BBT rise. And Cervical Mucus despite taking allergy meds. OPKs alone aren't enough. You can have a LH surge and not ovulate. In order to trust your BBT, you need to make sure you take it at the exact same time every day (give or take 30 mins), right as you open your eyes. If you get up to pee for example, the results won't be accurate.
Now, I have only been charting since last month. I had First Response OPKs and decided to get Wondfo OPKs. Since they are so cheap, I started to test as early as CD10 and didn't get a positive until CD17 afternoon. It was positive again CD18 late morning and negative CD18 afternoon. The First Response never showed a positive.

Yeah it’s nearly impossible for me to take my temp the same time every day bc I inevitability have to get up to pee. I always take it after my longest sleep but it’s not consistent time wise. It sucks bc I really don’t know when I ovulated. I am guessing it’s this week, but who knows.

What were your signs you had PCOS?
I would go months with no period and then I'd have spotting for an entire month (or 2). The facial hair is horrible and the inability to lose weight (all focused around my middle) I also had really bad acne when I first got diagnosed with it which I had to take accutane for. I got diagnosed with it probably 15 years ago and unfortunately it still haunts me since it affects fertility and I don't ovulate.
If your Dr suspects it though they can test your testerone level and do ultrasounds etc. There are meds which are supposed to help such as metformin however I haven't noticed a difference since being on it. The RE we're working deals a lot with pcos so I'm comfortable with him. I just finished 7.5 mg of letrozole which is a high dose to start and if my follices grew enough will be doing IUI next week. I go in tomorrow am for monitoring.
Looks like this board used to be more active! Anybody still here? Yes, boo.
1. Where are you at on this journey? TTC #2, cycle 5, CD 24.
2. Any upcoming tests? No. Due to travel mishaps, we missed our timing this month. Onward to next month.
3. If you end up with a BFP, what changes will you have to make? I'll need to stop drinking, and might have to modify my current lifting program. No other real changes until we know if it sticks. Since I am AMA, we'll probably find out sex earlier, via cfDNA testing. When we know if it's a 2nd girl or a 1st boy, that will impact how much stuff I can reuse vs. clearing out the pink and acquiring new.
4. Questions? If anyone knows how to nicely tell a friend that you love her, but your text chain with her is not the place to live stream pregnancy complaints large and small, that would be super handy. Yesterday I tried to tell her that it was hard for me to be immersed in pregnancy (NAMELY HERS) while unsuccessfully TTC myself. She was like "anything I can do? You can always vent to me." It was hard not to reply... no, I can't. I can't get a word in edgewise with all of your venting about heartburn, GD tests, etc.
