I thought it would be nice to keep with the “drinking” theme from yesterday’s post.
With that in mind, what are you “thirsty” for today? A vacation? New shoes? Time alone? Maybe even an actual drink. Whatever it is, let’s hear it.
I would really like a few days alone. I’m tired of always being the decision-maker at home and always having to participate in group calls at work. It would be nice to have 2-3 days where I could focus on projects that I want to get done in the office and then go to a place at the end of the day without any other people. I think that means it’s time for me to go work out of our Cincinnati office for a few days.
As far as my preferred beverage: the Cherry Coke from the work soda fountain is oh so good.
I'm definitely thirsty for a few days away from everything and everyone. I'm currently fantasizing about hiding out in a hotel room, watching crabby cable TV and eating take out. No kids. No work. No schedule. It sounds heavenly!
As for my preferred beverage, I'd take a cucumber vodka with soda water!
M has been gone for 24 hours and I've been cleaning like a fiend, and can't wait to do more, LOL. Last night I had a ladder out to dust all the light fixtures and ceiling fans, and then dug in to scrub out the fridge.
This evening I'm going to get all wild and crazy and wipe down my baseboards....probably with a flavored seltzer water in hand

Just got out of a long, stressful meeting. I am thirsty for anything with alcohol. We're leaving for Canada right after work, though, so any alcoholic beverages will be waiting until tomorrow evening.
Today I'm thirsty for water! I don't think I drank enough water yesterday and today I have a huge headache. Water with lemon it is for me.
I actually came into the office today. It's BEAUTIFUL outside though so I'm thinking I may leave in a few hours and get a long walk in while the sun is still out. Work will still be here when the sun goes down.
I have to go to California next week. I'm so used to short flights that I'm obsessing over getting upgraded for the 5 hour cross country haul. With my status I could possibly get upgraded later today. If it doesn't happen I'm thinking I'm going to call and see if I can upgrade with miles. I hope it happens automatically though.
kaneen I hope you get it! It does make a big difference for those long flights.
Today I'm thirsty for coffee. Also for more vacation time, because my trip was even less of a vacation than I anticipated. I think what I need is a *real* vacation that doesn't include any family obligations.
I had two good first dates yesterday and I have another one scheduled for tonight, so we'll see how that goes. Apparently I'm really throwing myself back out there.
Wait tiramisu, I need to know how you juggled 2 different 1st dates in a day. Did you mix their names up? Did you change clothes in between, or did you wear one fabulous first date outfit?
Also I got a gentle nudge from mags to finally print/hang wedding photos. I have one canvas arriving tomorrow, and assuming the quality is as expected, another 4 photos uploaded and ready to go.
Plus I've hung a bunch more existing artwork while I figure out which walls will hold what (we joke about our "art mantle" - we piled all art up on one mantle when we moved last June, and we've been very slow to pick things up and find them a new home, so it's still a pretty colorful wall of unhung pieces).
At this rate, M is going to come home to a completely decorated house next week. And my mother arrives next Thursday, so I guess I better figure out what art goes in the guest room
I did wear one outfit to both dates. One was at 2pm, after my chiropractic appointment. We ended around 5:30, then I went to my private practice. My second one was at 8pm and we were talking until at least 11:30. I didn't mix up their names, they're very different but both, of course, have dark hair and eyes. I think the session in between helped there be more of a break in attention so it made it easier. Both definitely warrant second dates.

I've known which ones I wanted for forever, I was just too lazy to get around to it
But I was SHOCKED how quickly they printed and shipped - the order confirmation page said up to 5 days to print, and 5-7 days for shipping. I ordered yesterday evening, and it had printed and shipped via USPS before midnight

I'm thirsty for a pizza, Deadpool 2 and then LOTS AND LOTS OF SLEEP.
We went to the kitchen place last night and picked out the colors of the cabinets and the counters so they could do a more accurate quote. We also looked at the tweaked design seeing as we just laughed at their first quote as it was so insanely high. Even with going down to a cheaper cabinet company, it only decreased the price of the cabinet budget by about 25% whereas I was hoping for more like 50%. So, of course, I couldn't sleep last night as I was ruminating over all the ways we could cut costs. We both really like this company and their design, so we want to try and make it work. Therefore, I'm really thirsty for anything with caffeine in it.
Simple Canvas Prints - because they have a groupon, LOL.
I typically use Mpix for all printing, so that's why I'm waiting to see the quality of this one before I order any more.
Have you gotten anything framed by Mpix? If so, were you satisfied? My wedding photographer told me to get stuff printed through them but she couldn't speak to the quality of their framing.

No, I use a local framing shop, so I've never tried Mpix' framing service.
I am thirsty for my hot new 4 1/2" black bow heels to arrive. I have been on a heel kick lately and have gotten quite a few new pairs.
Just got back from the dr and finally got an IUD. I thought today was just a consult but he said, well since your here we can do it now. I was going to have dinner with N (new guy) tonight but I cancelled because I do not want to go out in public with a pad on. I know that sounds silly but I am always afraid they will slip and then I will bleed thru my pants. N was super cool about it and we already rescheduled for Saturday.
Beverage that I will be drinking later tonight is probably just a screwdriver.
