Check in for kids and school?

Anyone around want to share kids ages and grades now?  There were so many of us on here back in the day.  It would be nice to hear how big they are all getting.  It doesn't have to only be school aged either and all are welcome to post of course.  Just didn't know how to title the post.  lol

My boys are now nearly 12 and 9. 
Brayden starts school next Wednesday and is a rising 7th grader. I can't believe how fast he is growing up.

Lucas is a rising 4th grader and starts next Friday.  Unfortunately his school had a pretty big fire a week ago and they had to find a new building so they are going to be sending them to a neighboring town that had an old High School that had a large empty wing until Winter Break. They are starting a couple of days late but I am amazed at how quickly they found an alternate loaction.   Over $1M in damage.  :-( Sad but the community is really pulling together to help the teachers/admin recover lost items.   

Anyone else want to share?

That’s crazy CJ! I’m glad they found an alternate location.

DD is 7 and just started 2nd grade this week. So far it’s going just ok. She does not like her main teacher and misses her 1st grade teacher tremendously. They had a special bond so I already knew this year would be tough. She has a lot of friends in her class but that’s good and bad. Lots of social issues this year we’ve never dealt with before. Right now it’s just truck along and see how it all goes!

abs, Oh no. I'm sorry to hear she doesn't like her teacher much.  Maybe it will get better.

Social issues are very hard. Especially with girls (I hear). We have been pretty lucky on that front so far.  Hopefully she can avoid a lot fo the drama and just stay neutral

Hi! My 9 year old girl is going into fourth, my 7 year old boy is going into second, my 5 year old girl is starting kindergarten, and my BAAABBBYYYY is 3 and going to preschool two mornings/week. None of the kids are excited about going back to school. We start really late this year--9/10--due to construction projects in the district. It's awesome having a couple more weeks of vacation.

I'm having that sense lately that time is going too fast. My 3 year old is the last cuddly preschooler I will have and she is getting so grown-up. Beginning and end of school years are always sort of emotional.

DS is 5.5 and going into senior kindergarten!

Dd1 will be 11 next week and is entering 6th grade!
Dd2 is 9 and entering 4th

DD is seven and just started second grade this week! We switched schools and so far, she loves it. We are excited for a bland of PBL and traditional learning.

The other picture was taken at nighttime Zoo last week. DS2 is two! He’s crazy and keeps us on our toes- sweet as can be with hugs and kisses one minute and throwing things and screaming the next! We love him like crazy though!

Everyone’s kids are so big!!

DD is 8 and starts 3rd grade tomorrow. She is crazy excited; she composed and choreographed a musical all about it last night. :-)

DS is 5 and starts kindergarten later this week. He was not at all excited until we bought his new backpack and now he can’t wait!

Dd1 is 6 and starting 1st, she’s excited. I’m worried she doesn’t realize it won’t just be K all over again...we learned a lot last year. She can’t handle life after school. She gives it everything, but she’s a mess if we ask anything of her after 5pm. Goodbye evening activities, it’s been fun, but nope, we will not be doing much.
Dd2 is 4 and in prek. She’s excited. It’s only 2 1/2 days a week, but she sooo ready. I think the big surprise will be that she has a different teacher than last year. She’ll keep doing gymnastics one morning and coming to work with me twice a week.
Dd3 and ds are home with me ft except when I work. I’m not too worried about adding much to their plates. Although I’m hoping to get back into doing a bit of homeschool/tot school work with both dd2 &3 just because I think it’s good for them.

Wth?? I have 4 kids guys. I started browsing on the other site as a newly married woman with NO kids. My how times change....

Been awhile since I posted here!
DS is 10 now and just started 5th grade
DD1 is 7 and just started 2nd grade
DD2 is 3 and I am so thankful I still have her for a few more years at home with me!

I am in denial about school starting, mostly because I teach, but so much because my kids are growing up so fast.
DD is going to 3rd (which I have always felt is the first year of being a big kid)
DS is going to 5th (last year of elementary!)

We go back after the long weekend. DD is 10, going into grade 5. DS is 7, going into grade 2. It’s mixed emotions going back. Miss being at home, but looking forward to getting back into a routine.

I’ve got a 2nd grader, a kindergartener and a six month old!
Both big boys were so excited to start school. Ds2 was only worried about the bus ride home.

It’s just me and the baby at home. It’s very quiet!

I’m so sorry to hear about the fire!

We started school at the beginning of August so a few weeks in.
DS1 is 7 and in 2nd.
DS2 is 3 and in preschool 4 mornings a week.

We had a fun summer but I was very ready for school to start. I’m volunteering quite a bit at both schools and on the board at DS2’s school. I also just stopped BC this month and we are going for #3. We are giving it a year and then will close the door if we don’t lucky.

No. I noticed she’s kind of fallen off my fb wall though. Idk if she hid me or what but I haven’t heard anything.

She hasn't posted an actual update in a while. I think Wesley is home. I know they tried vacationing and ended up in hospital a couple of times this summer. seems quiet on FB now. She may be back at work?
