UD Naked Palette (original) being retired?

I’ve received an email from Ulta and seen a couple of UD ads on social media telling me to grab Naked 1 @$27 before it’s gone for good.

I saw that too. That’s surprising isn’t that like Urban Decays best selling product? I’m debating getting it but I hate that velvet packaging sooo much.

I want to get one, but I have so many other palettes. I do love these colors though...

Any idea how these colors compare to Naked On The Run?

I grabbed a backup today because I've panned most of my original Naked palette and still wear it regularly. I can't believe that it's getting discontinued, but then again it's also at least eight years old at this point. How many other palettes are still in production after that long?

I'm so tempted to grab one. I panned mine out last year and I miss it, but I have Sooo much eye shadow right now and the last thing I need is another palette.

I was a total makeup/Sephora newbie and I was shopping with my infant son. Just browsing, walking around the mall for something to do and wandered into Sephora. I was maybe going to get a lip gloss or mascara. They got a shipment of Naked palettes and were putting them out while I was standing right next to the display. It must have been when they just came out and they couldn't keep them in stock. A few people started going wild and grabbing them from the boxes. I got roped into the excitement and got one myself. It pretty much introduced me to higher end makeup (minus the Estee Lauder and Clinique gift set leftovers my mom would give me). I LOVED that palette and used up almost every color. I finally tossed it a couple years ago because it was mostly gone and the little that was left was either broken or the formula got weird. I'm excited to get a new one, especially now that I'm much better with makeup and (semi) know what I'm doing. LOL.

I’ve been in a 2.5 year long “use what I own, don’t look at the makeup board” mode but I will be getting this.

I'm torn on if i should grab a new one. Mine is pretty old, but still haven't hit pan on any colors. And I probably have similar colors in other palettes...but it was my first palette purchase, ahhh what to do.

Huh. This surprises me. The original is my favorite Naked palette. I'm not anywhere close to hitting pan on it though.

I just bought it for the first time a few months ago (I know, really late to the game with this). I wish that I had held out for 1/2 price. I don't have Naked 2 and I'm going to wait until that one is retiring before I buy it.
