Friday Fails

Took the pups to daycare - yay!

PITA corgi took a dump on the floor while waiting to be checked in   I could not hand the leash over and book it out of there fast enough (after I cleaned up after my uncivilized dog, of course).

Thankfully no fails yet! I did have a win, though. I forgot I had the old (and ugly, IMHO) brass chandelier listed for sale on FB. Someone came this morning and bought it--woohoo!

I do have a mini-fail. It's P's birthday today and I have no card or gift! OOPS! Better run out at lunch.

awesome bullygirl979! How much do you charge for an ugly brass chandelier? I have an old-lady blue glass light fixture in my eat-in kitchen area I'd love to get rid of.

chalupa, I sold it for $30, lol. It was more than I would have received for donating it. It was ugly.

I have no failures today...yet. It's only 12:30 though so there's plenty of time.

I was super productive yesterday and this morning. I have only one meeting today and it's over at 2pm. I'm thinking pool by 2:15

I was detailing a car and the machine I was using was stronger than I thought. I threw dirty soapy water all over my garage wall. Fantastic.

My fail today was not getting up early enough to really get ready before my morning meeting with someone at the city attorney's office. I fell asleep in my makeup last night, too. So I did a quick refresh with luminous powder, sprayed some spray toner to hydrate a little, wiped up smudges, combed my lashes and touched up mascara, and went. I think I still managed to look somewhat put together, but still!

I'm going to be touching up my roots shortly. Hopefully I won't have any more fails to report today!

I thought of another fail: last night's date. He sent me a message to let me know he was going to be late (for a realistic-sounding reason) but didn't say how late. Date was at 7, I waited until just after 7:30 to order, and right after I ordered I saw he'd arrived, so I had the bartender cancel the order. I'd already decided that I was being stood up and that I should just enjoy dinner and go, so I really wasn't expecting anything. He was nice, but there was no chemistry for me.

so I went into work for a couple hours this AM and was home by 10:30.
My plan was to get cracking on cleaning my bedroom as it looks like a bomb went off in it.
Well it is now 2:00 PM and I still have not started.

I am excited though that I do not go back to work until Tuesday, so hopefully over the course of the next few days I can turn this cleaning fail into a win.

A couple Friday not-fails: got my groceries delivered, set up auto-delivery for furnace filters and razor blades (LOL).

My wedding photo canvas arrived and I hung it over the bed. It's not the world's most AMAZING quality, but I knew I wouldn't have color vividness issues printing a b/w silhouette, so it's perfectly awesome for the $40 Groupon price. 

I discovered magnetic thumbtacks existed, so once Amazon delivers those tomorrow, I will finally hang a textile we brought home from Peru that I haven't wanted to ruin with nail holes.

And I had the dogs bathed and their nails trimmed while they were at daycare, and now they are home and clean and snoozing. However, bathing makes their coats blow out even MORE than usual, so the floors and couch I cleaned while they were away are once again fur-covered, so I'll be doing that again this weekend. Almost a not-fail!

 If you want something printed with vivid colors try BayPhoto.com. I've had some really pretty things printed by them. My favorite is a picture of Iceland in the winter on metal. I had it printed so the metal shows through a little and it really brings out the ice and waterfall.
