Today: run, need to be at preschool at 9-9:30 for meet and greet, might do a park or go get bagels afterwards. Need to make dinner and hopefully finish a shirt I am sewing for C.
Tuesday: run, watching our friends boys
Wednesday: 1st day of preschool! Making C a big breakfast! I have a dentist appointment while he’s at school so my dad will watch L (will meet me at the dentist and take him to a nearby park or for a walk). Planning to go to Yogurtland after nap to celebrate the 1st day!
Thursday: run, sew
Friday: preschool, run, chores
No plans for the weekend yet but hoping to get outside as a family and maybe a run at some point!
Since I was gone on Thu and Fri last week and we switched our emails to a new system today.. it's going to be a long week at work, haha. FX I actually get stuff done today!
This weekend the plan is Ren Fest Sat, staying at my parents, then game night Sun since we're off Mon. I'm still not 100% on Ren Fest (I want to go but it's just a bit of a pain with the kids and needing to pump, lol). But I'm thinking it'll be ok. Maybe my parents and/or my sister can meet us and they can help with the kids!
The last week of summer is so bittersweet. School starts next week and on one hand I'm thrilled to have some "me" time back, but on the other I'm so sad to leave my kids. I also don't want to go back to waking up at 5am :-(
Trying to make the most of our week! Today my 3 girlfriends came over for a pool play date. We each have a 3/4 year old and then each have a 1 year old so things were a little hectic but it was nice to see them. We planned to celebrate B's birthday but she flipped out and refused to allow anyone to sing.
Tomorrow we're going to drop some things off to the kids' new school and then do a bunch of errands. It's supposed to be miserably hot so maybe we'll try to get into the pool as well.
Wednesday is B's birthday so she gets to decide. I'm guessing she'll pick the local playplace. We have gifts and I'll let her pick out a special dessert for when H gets home after work.
No real plans Thursday or Friday. Might try to see what's going on at the library.
This weekend is a long weekend. I'm hoping for some solo time to get myself some new clothes and then lots and lots of meal prepping.

Pretty boring here.
I’m going to attempt waking up early to go to the gym before work. I’m too tired to go after. These kids are pooping me out lol. I can fall asleep right now, no problem.
Friday I have the second job interview. I really hope it goes well. The schedule will work out great for me. Currently I don’t see H at all during the week and it sucks. Plus I want to take a few classes and with a few hours off late morning/early afternoon I could definitely go to them.
No plans for the weekend yet. I’m looking forward to the 3 day weekend.
Today is 5 years since my first m/c. I planned ahead for some self care time. MIL babysat and I did some errands and went to lunch with my mom. I'm home and have had some tears but overall doing okay.
Tuesday - children's museum with MIL Thursday - lunch with my mom and grandma.
Monday was busy. Nice walk outside, finishing up school/daycare supply shopping, volunteered for a few hours.
Today was supposed to be my lazy day except the contractor texted me first thing this morning that he is coming over to replace some plumbing fixtures.
Wednesday DH's grandparents are stopping by. I'm excited about this because then we don't have to travel to see them, and we can check off "great grandparents meet the baby" from our to do list.
Friday is breakfast with my BFF. Just relaxing this weekend. May attempt to go to the pool or something like that.

HoneySpiderbk1- did you see that Pumpkin Spice Latte is at Starbucks starting today!?! If I didn’t have the other boys I would be going, even though it’s still hot here and doesn’t feel like fall (mornings have been a little cooler though so I guess it’s getting close). Hoping I can stop after my dentist appointment tomorrow before I need to pick C up from preschool.
Did a 5 mile run again today! Also finished C’s Mickey shirt yesterday but now I need to figure out how to fix the neckline because it’s too big (and I want to hem the sleeves more too).

I'm raging right now. Ugh. We were on our way home. This van behind us got close once when I had to slow down a bit. As I got closer to the light, it started changing. I was pretty far back from it and the car in front of me stopped too. I looked in my rear view mirror and the van is still coming. I pulled forward a little while still watching and heard her brakes squealing. I really believe if I hadn't seen her coming and moved up, she would have hit us (all 4 of us were in the car). I turned around to look at her and she's on her freaking phone! She continues blabbing away and makes a couple motions that seem to be apologies.
I'm still shaking and so angry. We're ok, and I'm very thankful for that, but I've never been so close to that happening before. I hope she learned her lesson but I'm pretty sure she was still on her phone when she turned at the next light so.. probably not. What is so damn important that you can't pay attention to the road? If you can't talk on the phone and drive you should probably not do both at the same time! 😡
DS started preschool yesterday. It has been a bit tough with drop-offs as he cries and clings on but he seems to really like it.
Tomorrow is my first Wednesday home without DS home all day so it is going to be weird but I have a lot of things to get done.
This weekend we are going out of town with my in-laws. I think it should be fun even though my BIL and SIL have been kind of annoying me lately but my other SIL will be there and she is a lot of fun so there will be enough distraction.

So sorry that happened to you! Very glad you guys are okay. Operating a phone while driving absolutely infuriates me. I was in the same exact position where I watched this woman blabber on her phone the whole way down the road on my way to work. It was stop and go traffic for several miles and she slammed her brakes several times before she just slammed into me. I knew it was going to happen. I was so furious (I was pregnant and moving in 2 days) but thankfully was okay. I even had a coworker who was in the car behind the woman who hit me also observe her talking on the phone and reported that to the cops as well. I think we need stricter penalties because it's getting out of control.

Ugh!! I admit when I was young and dumb I texted while driving, and I very occasionally talk on the phone but I've cut way way back over the years. It's just not worth the risk of hurting yourself or someone else. I told H if that had been me talking on the phone and I almost hit someone, I would have thrown that phone on the seat so fast!

wineandcheese- I have a Starbucks 1 mile away...I used to walk way too often! I haven’t gone nearly as much lately as I am trying to not spend as much there (plus it’s summer so coffee isn’t as appealing). I always like the holiday drinks though!
pooh8402- me too! I was surprised when I saw the commercial!
estrellita- so glad you guys are ok! I used to talk on the phone a lot more but stopped when C was 4 months old and I got a ticket. Totally not worth it...plus I try to be safer now with the kids in the car too (I was only on the phone that time because DH was at work and only had a few minutes and wanted an update on C’s GI appointment...this was when we were desperate for answers after a really HARD 4 months of colic, reflux, no sleep and no help). Still not an excuse but kids have definitely made me think about these things a lot differently.

luv2rn4fun, woohoo! I went to Starbucks last week for a BOGO deal one afternoon and I was slightly disappointed the seasonal flavors weren't out yet (but didn't expect them to be) Since my birthday is coming up I'll get a free drink and I always use it for a PSL (although when it's really warm I opt for the frappaccino version, also delicious)

Update to my screwy electric bill saga (because it's so interesting lol)
Last week someone came out to look at the meter (note: this is a new one they put in about 2 months ago after my complaint was escalated) Well long story short, apparently the meter number was recorded wrong on our account so when they came to read the meter, it was showing no signal. So they just kept estimating it.
Should be fixed now, but then I saw last night they made some adjustment on my account and I'm 99% sure that's now going to cause a new issue (everything was fine after the visit last week, they should have just left it alone!) Apparently they are just a really inept company.
I started school again this week, yay (not). That's my plan today and Friday.
Busy the last 2 days at work with some scary situations.
DH is OOT, so it's just me and E this week until Thursday evening. Thank goodness for my ILs, as they have been caring for E before and after daycare the past 2 days. I'm on call tomorrow, so they may need to watch him again tomorrow.
First Aggie game is tomorrow night! Woohoo! Much excite. Bummed that I'm working Saturday so I can't watch the rest of the games.
