Oh I definitely have a Monday moan. This is my first day back at work after three weeks off. The alarm went off too early. I'm glad it woke me up and I got up without a problem, but damn.
My weekend was great! Friday I went out with one friend, but ran into to others while I was waiting for her to arrive and then another of my friends joined us later while we were out. Saturday I got a haircut and then went to my parents' house so we could all go to a symphony performance. Yesterday morning we had breakfast BLT tacos, although I skipped the lettuce and added eggs. Later on we had slices of a super fancy birthday cake my parents got me and I opened my presents. I'm a little sad I won't see them on my actual birthday, but it was a great celebration.
My weekend was okay, but pretty quiet. Had really no plans, which was nice because I feel like I need a break. Got DD mostly packed for the big move. She's got to finish laundry and then we're really ready. I'm not ready. If I stop too long or get in my head, I get teary. Ran some random errands, watched a crapton of Netflix stuff, cleaned the house, went to church.
This week is going to be a rollercoaster so I feel like I need to send out a PSA to everyone around me!
I'm currently trying to look past the ugly cry that will be happening and focusing on all the fun stuff I have planned this weekend....seeing Gym Class Heros/311/Offspring Friday night with the bf, bartending Saturday and then camping with my bestie and crew Sunday.

I've got a serious case of the Monday moans, too!
Friday was P's birthday, which was nice. He liked his presents, we had dinner with his parents and then he and I went out for froyo. Saturday I had breakfast with a friend and we went to the market. I came home and made pickles but I should have read the recipe before I made them because it made SO MANY PICKLES.
Yesterday we went for our first ride together on the new bike. P made a rookie mistake and had me get on the bike without the kickstand down (to be fair this is how we did it on his last bike and it was fine). But, this bike is so heavy and so much taller that I kind of had to do a high step off the ground, when I did that my weight was too much on the bike and the whole thing went over. P had enough room to step away but I was by my car and because of the wide passenger seat and panniers, I got trapped and the bike came down on me. Luckily I was just badly bruised on my legs and there wasn't any damage to the bike or my car. P felt badly about it and kept profusely apologizing. Needless to say, it shook both of our confidences so our joint ride was a little short, lol.
My weekend was good. It was filled with way to much food and drinks. I went out Saturday for a baby shower followed by even more time hanging with friends. Sunday was a birthday brunch with the same friends. It was also a change of location since we all happened to to congregate on my side of town. It was nice to be able to walk home for once.
Oh bullygirl979, that could have been really bad, Glad the only injury is a bruised leg.
My weekend was all about kids. Friday night I watched two different friend's kids, so a total of 4 between the ages of 7 - 10. Originally I was going to take them to the amusement park, as they live like 5 minutes from it and they all have season passes. But it turns out the damn place was closed due to being rented out for a private party. So we ended up going bowling and then came home and had a huge nerf gun tournament throughout the house. It turned out to be a great night.
Saturday I was scheduled to watch my great nephew for a few hours in the early afternoon as his parents had some class at the hospital for his new sibling that is coming next month. Well during the class, Momma started having some major contractions and they thought maybe baby was coming early. Turns out it was just a false alarm but momma was beat after that so I just ended up keeping W at my house overnight.
I was suppose to go to the apple orchard with N later Saturday afternoon but since W stayed, we had to cancel.
Sunday was a surprise visit from my cousin's son. She is the cousin who is staying with me and her son, who is 24, was passing thru town. It was a great visit and really cheered her up.
I accomplished nothing that I wanted to this weekend in regards to laundry, grocery shopping and meal planning. I am off today so I am trying to play catch up. It is going decent so far. Not the greatest but decent.
Enjoy your vacation mags! I hope everything is perfect.
My weekend was self-inflicted crazy. I maaaaaybe went a little over the top in making myself a to-do list while M is away. Maaaaybe there were 35 items on that list, and I managed to check every single one off, plus add another dozen items that I'm working my way through. LOL. But at least my front door is painted and there's a new welcome mat out?
Now I need to make a list of a couple things to do with my mom while she's in town, because we're closer than we used to be (OMG laughing at myself here - if you consider I went 18 months without speaking to her, that's not saying much!), but we're still not sit and chat and catch up all day kind of close. I need a couple restaurants, museums, etc to propose on a moment's notice.
