I’ve actually had a very productive month and made a baby quilt and a fairly large commissioned quilt. The commissioned quilt is almost done. I have just a small amount of quilting and the binding to attach tonight so I can hand it over by Wednesday. I’ll post it as soon as I can!
My knitting hit a snag though. I wanted to finish a sweater for my DDs birthday this past weekend but I only have the sleeves and the body done. I stil need to join them and knit the fair isle yoke which will probably take a while. Oh well.
I'm making fairly good progress on a crochet blanket. I'm trying to finish a pair of socks but I fucked up the cuff and need to tink back like three rows to fix it. I don't have anything else going right now, other than trying to actually learn to bake macarons. I love them but they are such a PITA

I have been stuck in a slump and needing to get back into it. I haven't been able to work on any WIPs, I just wasn't feeling them. I did whip up a quick hat and am making a second.
Planning my sister's baby shower so I've been using my Cricut a ton to make the invites.
Teaching myself to knit as my BF's daughter bought me a little kit of animals for my birthday. It's not going so well. Lol
My son is in 10th grade and I've been collecting shirts of his to make a quilt/blanket for his high school graduation gift. I started cutting out some of them because I found that I have enough to do one side already. I guess I've blocked out of my memory how many sports and activities he has been involved in in the past five years!

Finished this Range quilt yesterday. It was super easy and went together very quickly. The instructions were fantastic. I sold it as a commission to an architect I work with. The colours aren’t great since it was taken in fluorescent lighting. This is definitely a pattern I would make again.
I have another baby quilt on the go as of 9pm last night. I need to finish it for tomorrow. Weeee.

Back to school shirts. The kids picked their lyrics. K has a whole bunch planned, but figures his Aaron Burr, I’m the damn fool that shot him shirt should be an S day shirt.
I’ve also bought the digitizing module for my Embird software. It started with a customer who wanted a lotus appliqué snaptab. I had an appliqué design, I had wonderful lotus outline designs, but not what she wanted. So I bought the key and started learning. I just added the outline to this one. It’s slow going, but I’m having fun.
I’m currently adding vinyl to my daughter’s water bottle and I regret making the offer of a multi colored unicorn. But she’ll love it when it’s done. I didn’t give my son the options and just slapped his name on his.
I’ve finally got the front and back of DS2’s quilt together. Time to sandwich them together! Maybe I’ll get this done by Christmas! He picked out fabric 1.5 years ago, then I ran out of fabric and had to come up with a solution with sashing. It will be great but I’m ready to finish!
I finally did another glaze fire- here's two quick phone pics of some plates. I haven't had the time (or light) to photograph the rest of the load yet!
This is a new glaze that has a glitter effect! It's so, so sparkly- I'll have to make a little video of it to get the full effect. It's not the prettiest color, but, the glitter is WOW.
And the fun thing is that it layers over other glazes well. This one has a really light coat of the glitter glaze on the rim (and elsewhere- because yes, glitter is the herpes of the glaze world, too, I guess- at least until it's fired) over two blue glazes- and it's still SO sparkly!

I am STILL working on the same damn projects. The diagonal twist scarf by Purl Soho and a pair of socks for R. Both are tedious (R wears size 12 wide and so these socks are just freaking GIANT) and I can't bring myself to work on them very long because of how tedious they are. I need to get some quick projects together for this month to get back in flow (also, I'm travelling for like, 10 days and will need a BUNCH of projects.) Got any ideas?
It was my first time using Essex linen in a quilt. I love the texture and how it looks but it was tougher to work with than quilting cotton.
I love that quilt! Beautiful!
I use Essex Linen all the time now. I find it behaves better for projects without a lot of bias edges, otherwise I starch it to hell before I cut into it. I do love the weight it gives my quilts, although I live up in Canada so we can use the extra warmth and weight.

Hats and socks are my go to at this time of year so I can knock out a quick project in advance of the cold weather. I need a better sock pattern though. The last two pairs I made don’t fit me very well. I have super high arches and pretty thick ankles so I think I need to increase more at the gusset.
This is my summer knitting project finally finished! It’s way too big for my skinny peanut but nice and long so it will likely fit her next winter better. I will block it so it looks better.
She was showing off that her tongue matched her sweater thanks to her grape popsicle.
