C is teething. She is fighting every nap, crying extra at bedtime, etc. She is in a pretty good mood otherwise at least. She hasn't napped today. G on the other hand curled up on the couch and went to sleep. Lol.
H got to feel the baby move for the first time last night, and the look on his face was one of the best things I've ever seen. He was so shocked when it happened, because I warned him that it might be a while before he would be able to.

E gets his big prize today for going 20 days without an accident (not in a row). H picked up the kids so I'm waiting for them to get home.. I think he's going to be excited! We found the Paw Patrol sea patroller boat for almost half off on Amazon. He keeps asking for other sea patrol vehicles (he has all the main dogs and vehicles but they aren't all the "sea patrol" versions) and he's pointed this out in the store but it was so expensive! I really hope he likes it đ
bk1. Ugh the teeth! My friend and i were lamenting teething today too with our teething toddlers. Why does it have to drag on for years??!
Bâs behavior has taken a dramatic turn for the worse in the past few weeks. She is so blatantly defiant and the usual methods (counting, losing things) are no longer effective. Every single thing is an argument and I have to negotiate and threaten every single thing I need her to do. TV is the thing she likes most so Iâm putting a full stop on the TV until I see an improvement. Her picky eating is also getting worse but I can only tackle one thing at a time. Sucks that her bday is this week because I donât really want to punish her on her bday.
Blue Moon I am so done negotiating and bribing with DS! Hopefully with school starting back up everyone will get in to a good routine again. And happy birthday to B!
Oh and super embarrassing yesterday. Picking up DS from after school care, the director always likes to hold C. I warned her that C might be stinky because she had been sitting in her infant seat for 2 hours while I volunteered. Well, I come back downstairs from retrieving DS and sure enough, director is holding a baby with a blowout diaper. It was in the car seat, too, so I just buckled C back in and dealt with it all at home. She then had ANOTHER blowout in her bouncer after I got her all cleaned up and changed.
HoneySpider- first smiles are the best reward for weeks of just sleeping, eating, pooping!
Blue Moon- I feel ya on the 3 yo. Itâs been so horrible lately. I really hope preschool helps to get him back to somewhat normal. At least it will give me a break from him (and him lots of attention and fun stuff that he doesnât always get to do at home), if nothing else.
estrellita- way to go E!! Hope he likes his big reward!
The boys arrived and their dad said that the oldest had a request to go to the park today. We have 3 but they are all 1 mile away (and 2 out of the 3 I would have to cross and walk on a busy street so not an option). I decided to try and we did make it to the park (towards the end I had 3 in the stroller and one walking, which we also did most of the way home)! We played with rocket balloons and stayed for an hour or so.
Everyone is in their âbedâ, two are napping (the youngest two). I am enjoying peace and quiet for a little bit before the last few hours of chaos.
Oh, and our neighbors boys has what the mom believes to be chicken pox (the doctor couldnât confirm for sure but thatâs what they were saying as of Sunday...spots broke out Friday night). She warned us to stay far away. We had seen him and hung out for about 15 min just hours before they saw the spots. I am hoping that since itâs been 4 days and we donât have any signs that we are in the clear.
Câs first day of preschool today! I hope it goes well...he did great at meet and greet (teacher visit at home and everyone in the classroom on Mon) but last night he screamed that he just wants to stay home and no preschool. Plus, he got weird towards the end of meet and greet (not sure if it was the taking his pictures, which he hates, or if he just didnât want to leave...I think he is also a little bummed he doesnât know any of his classmates and his two buddies arenât at his school anymore).
I am making pancakes and eggs for breakfast before we go and then L and I are going to meet my dad for my dentist appointment!
With DH out of town, I thought I would work on our sleep issues. I had the monitor turned all the way up so I could hear.
Sunday night, E woke up at 3 am, and he wanted me to lay down by him. I kept refusing to lay down but I would sit next to the bed (sleep lady shuffle style). Once I would notice that his breathing slowed down, I would leave, then he would jump up and run after me before I had made it 3 steps. I finally told him that he would sleep in his bed, I would sleep in mine, and left. He proceeded to cry for who knows how long (I fell asleep on my good ear). He woke for the day about 6:15.
Monday night, he woke up at midnight and 3 am. Both times, he went back down easier, only about 15 minutes each time. I sat by the bed sleep lady shuffle style. He woke for the day at 7:15 according to FIL.
Last night, he didn't wake up until 5:50 am, 10 minutes before his okay to wake clock turned green. I let him cry in his room until 6 am.
A is so adorable sometimes. Within the last few weeks she's learned waving and clapping. She also would occasionally dance if we prompted her but last night her toy played music and she started moving back and forth and clapping. SO cute! She's getting close to crawling I think. She scoots herself on her butt and pulls herself around on her tummy but she hasn't quite figured out pulling herself forward yet. The race is on to get everything cleaned up and baby proofed better again, haha.

C did great at preschool today! His teacher even made it a point to let me know he had a good day! She also mentioned the âstarâ stamp on his hand and I asked C if it was special or if everyone got one...he said only he did (I will have to ask about that). Either way, I am glad he had a good day...tons of tears from other kids in the class (one of Câs precious teachers had to be pulled in to help).
L and I were able to make a Target run before my dentist appointment! He did great walking with my dad during the appointment and then we went to Starbucks and hung out before picking up C! I got C some new shirts, a Disney Cars water bottle (his current one has seen better days), and both of them some new coloring books and crayons! C was pretty stoked when he saw all his surprises!
J's preschool is like magic. If you could dream up the two kindest, most dedicated, most enthusiastic teacher and aide you could possibly think of, you would get these people. The teacher blogs what they do daily so we can ask our kids specific questions about their day to get them talking, she uploads about 100 pictures a week so you can order any of your child that you would like and see what they've been up to, and they created a book that the kids take turns bringing home that helps them get to know the school and people in it, like the principal, office manager, etc. It's called Preschooler, Preschooler, What Do You See?, modeled after the Brown Bear, Brown Bear book. DS leaps out of bed in the morning (well, most mornings) because he loves it so much. I am a happy mama.
Also, E is such a fun age, and I adore him to pieces. I just wish I got more time with him!
