1. Where are you at on this journey (TTC #, Month/Cycle, CD)?

TTC#1, cycle 5, CD13

2. Any upcoming tests?

I started OPKs yesterday. I totally forgot to collect my pee yesterday afternoon so the test was done on a less than 1 hour pee. It was very negative lol. I don't expect to O until CD16 so we'll see.

3. What is the most stupid question you've got re: TTC?

Asking us if we are using the right hole   We haven't shared with anyone that we are TTC but since we just got married and we are 36/37 people just make these comments. Plus, this (probably fake) story about the Chinese couple is just going to make it worse now.

4. Questions, randoms? I've been avoiding H's family. They are just too much for me. I know I am not the DIL they wanted for DH so they are not very warm or welcoming towards me. They are the total opposite with their other DILs. H is respecting my wishes to distance myself from them. If we have a baby, the drama will go up about 100 notches.

3. What is the most stupid question you've got re: TTC? A demand from random people that they be the first to know about a pregnancy (back when we were TTCing our son and H was dumb enough to tell people despite me asking him not to).

4. Questions, randoms? I think I ovulated late or possibly twice this cycle. FF days I’m 11 dpo but I had super positive OPKs in the two days after that plus the cramping/pressure I usually get when ovulating which would put me at 9 dpo. Twins is my biggest TTC fear so I’m legit terrified of that if I did O twice even so I know the probability is very very low. But I’m completely in my head about every twinge so the TWW is making me BSC this go round.

I go back tomorrow for ANOTHER monitoring appt. On Monday my follices were only at 16 (Friday they were at 14). I need them to be a min of 18 (I think) in order to trigger for IUI

3. What is the most stupid question you've got re: TTC?
The most common is what's taking so long.

4. Questions, randoms?
My dog is in day care today and they have webcam's so we can check in on them.... It's taken up my ENTIRE day.
I'm also SO mad at DH right now (downright pissed and not walking to even talk to him). The constant reminding him to take his supplements is getting old and his lack of interest in sex is bothering me. It's hard to be "in the mood" when you're on a calendar told when to have sex etc. (sorry if that's TMI)

achi did your temp confirm ovulation? You can have a positive OPK and not ovulate yet, then get another positive OPK and ovulate.

ETA: a positive OPK doesn't guarantee ovulation. It just means you have a LH surge. You can have a LH surge and not ovulate. Your basal body temperature would be the only way for you to confirm ovulation at home.

Maybe hpt. Trying to wait until Saturday when my period is due.

3. What is the most stupid question you've got re: TTC?
None really, I mostly shut that down. Someone who knows we are TTC always says "omg you're pregnant aren't you! I know you are!" That was super hurtful last month when said right after I got my period.

If you use FF, what setting? FAM, research, advanced?

1. TTC #2 cycle 2 CD 33.

2. No testing. I’m sick of wasting OPKs and temps don’t really reflect ovulation so who the hell knows what’s going on this cycle.

3. No stupid questions. The first time I only told one person we were TTC. We would just get the occasional “so when are you having a kid?” No one cares now. Lol. I guess when you have a 4.5 year old, it seems like people assume you aren’t having any more.

4. I looked into REs in the area. The closest is an hour away and has inconvenient appt times. So that’s great.

grace I leave it at Advanced. This is recommended by FF. All I know is the FAM setting calculates things differently. I am sure you can find all the details in their FAQ.

TTC#2, cycle 3, Day 38. FF says 6 DPO but I think it is 7 dpo.

2. Any upcoming tests?
I don’t have super high hopes but may test on my bday which is this Friday

3. What is the most stupid question you've got re: TTC?
I only told one person IRL and they haven’t said anything dumb.

4. Questions, randoms? I hope I am pregnant and I can get a BFP as my bday present but it could also be awakard explaining to family why I don’t want a glass of wine with dinner when we celebrate Saturday night.

I truly hate TTC. I over analyzing everything. Small temp dip today comebined with an extremely small amount of spotting and an odd cramping on my right side has me convinced that an embryo is implanting today. I should know better after 20 months of TTC last time that I should never get my hopes up. I’m not even entirely sure I ovulated. I guess time will tell.
