The Zookeeper's Wife

I've been considering this book for ages. It's down to $2.71 for Kindle. I have a gift certificate for my birthday that's burning a hole in my pocket. Has anyone read The Zookeeper's Wife, and would you recommend it?

This may be too late, but I thought it was okay. It’s an interesting story, but she glosses over some parts and goes into too much detail with there. For that price though, I’d check it out.

Thanks. I am still debating, so I guess that means I can't commit to reading it just yet.

I think it's going to be kind of like The Blind Assassin, which I have debated getting for nearly 20 years, but just can't make a firm decision to actually buy it.

I wanted to LOVE it but it ended up being just ok for me specifically for the same reasons bex said.

For $3, its probably worth it. I liked it, but found it to be very similar to many other books that cover that era.

Unrelated, but do you use your local library for kindle books? That is pretty much where I get all mine and they are FREE!
