They baby woke up twice last night ( extra baby cuddles) My 3 year old told me he hated me ( he was over it by the time we got to daycare) I spilled my coffee on myself ( luckily it was iced and I didn't burn myself) and I hit a pot hole on the way to work and think I jacked up my alignment ( at least it wasn't a flat)
This is me trying to overcome a shitty morning by looking on the positive side.
I, unfortunately, am working all day. I was supposed to get off at noon, but since I was home with DD Wednesday, I am here for the day.
We are supposed to go for a cookout, swim party tonight. DH doesn't get off until 7, so I believe I will have him pick me up so that I can have a couple of beers.
Sunday is a big cookout at our friend's lake. So Saturday we will head up for what they call the pre party. So busy weekend for all.

xctsclrx, I hope your day gets better - sounds like a really rough start.
I am definitely working today and will probably need to work later than usual. As I mentioned in other threads, my coworker was let go and she was in charge of events. Trying to figure out where to pick up where she left off has been difficult and stressful. Thankfully my boss gave me access to her email so I could search for some items I needed. It has come in handy but holy heck - she has over 20,000 emails in her inbox! I know many people do this but I treat my inbox as my to do list - if it’s in there, it has to be dealt with and after I’m done, I file it. So seeing that is completely overwhelming and I understand why she couldn’t keep anything straight with her extreme disorganization.
Tomorrow we have DDs first XC meet - hopefully anyway. There are t-storms predicted. Saturday our POD will be delivered so we can prepare for demo day on Tuesday. Saturday night we have DHs partner dinner and Sunday we’ll be moving everything from the first floor into the POD so they can tear up the kitchen and the floors. I’m trying not to stress about it because it’s all for a good cause - I finally get new floors and a new kitchen! But it’s still a lot.
Monday is up in the air. I thought about inviting SIL down to swim but I may not want to socialize after a busy weekend so we’ll see.

I’m also working today. 2 hours in, 6.5 to go....
Though I’ve worked OT all week so I may try and skate out an hour early. We have date night tonight and I’d love to have time to shower and shave before the sitter arrives. Cocktails at a prohibition-themed bar followed by Japanese!
We have family birthdays this week on both sides so the weekend is a whirlwind of familial obligation. Thank god for date night.
I had a moms HH last night and it was really fun - this isn’t my friend group so I was relieved.
Today I finish at 1:00. Tonight DD still has practice (and tomorrow morning). DH and I are going to dinner with a friend of his who is in town and other friends of his we only see when this BFF is in town.
Tomorrow we are walking the dogs in the nature preserve (ie the creek) and then I leave for a college football game. I’m taking oldest DD with me - she needs a pick me up.
Sunday we go to the lake and are taking the dogs (I had forgotten to order life jackets! Just did same day Amazon yay).
Monday we are hosting a 60th birthday party for my sister. I’m over focused on the best vanilla cake with white icing. I need to finish menu planning and shop! Not sure when...maybe today at 1:00 if I can get myself together.
Working today too! We're supposed to get out early, but my schedule has been such a mess, I didn't really earn the time. I think I'll just use a little PTO and get out of here with everyone else though. The girls and I are headed to my folks' for the weekend. We're going to an amusement park tomorrow and the lake on Sunday. Then we'll come home early Monday morning so I have a whole day to get stuff done around the house. I'm out of town all next week for work, so I need to get the house situated, do laundry, etc. before I leave on Tuesday.

ETA: Fixed spelling issues. . .
I got a parenting book about negative thinking in children and one of the exercises was unfortunately/ fortunately. It reads very much like your post, so props to you for positive thinking. Unfortunately baby work me up several time, fortunately we got to cuddle more.
I’m working today and solo parenting and probably working some for the long weekend as dh had to fly across the country to help his brother. My SIL took a turn for the worse and so we are all on edge hoping for a miracle. DH had to drop everything and leave while DS was at school so DS was in tears last night when he asked if dad would be home for dinner and I told him. Of course then I broke down too.
Working today. This weekend we are going to visit family. Hopefully the predicted thunderstorms pass quickly because we are planning to go to the Ren Fest, and then an outdoor concert, but we might have pavilion seats, hopefully I have to ask DH.
I need some help, I asked DH but he is too busy. DS is in the wedding and I need to get him brown dress shoes. I was hoping Amazon because I have no time to shop. Most of them I see there are redish brown? Is that the fashion? Anyone know anything about boy dress shoes fashion? Links? I see a bunch on there, I just don't know which ones to get and bride has been a bit zilla about what the kids wear. He is ring bearer and she is flower girl.
Do sparkly black shoes for her match a Cerulean blue Nylon/ poly dress. It has detail on the front, so it is not plain, but not tutu either.

Not working, but I will be playing hooky from chores to hang with a 10 year old girl, because there is no camp this week which means one of my other single mom friends is in a bind. Should be fun! Hoping to do some different things from what I usually end up doing with DS on weekends.
I’m flying home from a business trip. I’ll land around 3:00. But I got upgraded, so at least my 4.5 hr flight will be comfy!
We have no plans this weekend. I’m so happy about that. We will do family movie nights and swim and maybe find a fun extra activity. Or invite friends to swim. But nothing hard or stressful.

I'm off today through Tuesday morning. I lucked out having this weekend as my rotating 4 day weekend, otherwise I would have been swamped at work and lots of OT.
No big plans this weekend. It was DHs first week back to school and he is stressed from it. DS and I may check out the farmers market tomorrow and I want to meet up with my parents.

Working today.
This was the first day I almost brought DS to school late. Normally he goes to school early because he meets with his tutor. Fridays I take him at the normal time and I was thinking it was 8:30. Luckily I remembered at the last possible second that it was 8:20 and he got there by the SKIN of our teeth. Today is his first spelling test so I just feel like the worst dumping him off to school like that, but I guess he'll survive. And DD threw a fit going into her classroom, so that was the perfect cherry on top of this morning's shit Sunday. Which is a phrase I hate but it's so apt right now that I can't help it.
I'm working today and I have a triathlon on Monday.
Tomorrow My sister wants to take the kids to the zoo but DH is being kind of weird about it. I don't get it. Someone responsible and nice wants to take our kids some place fun. Get over it.
There's a 3:00 pm grill out at our neighborhood pool on Sunday. Which is a weird time and I'm sure everyone's going to think I suck, but that's when the homeowner who agreed to do the grilling could do it so that's when we're doing. Anyone who doesn't like it can VOLUNTEER next time I ask for volunteers.

It has gotten better since being at work. We are unusually busy today which is good. Means the day goes by faster.
I am so glad it is a three day weekend, because I am exhausted. Tonight, I am going to enjoy some adult beverages and do nothing. Tomorrow, we'll go to my parents' place to celebrate my niece's birthday. Then we'll find something fun to do with the kids to say goodbye to summer.
I was in late today so I'll probably be the last one here today. We have nothing planned for the weekend. We want to get back into the swing of things after vacation and get ready for the first week of school. Hope to do some fun things as a family as long as everyone gets healthy. DH wants to clean up the yard and trim bushes. Also catch up on sleep since I was the only one home this week to get up with all three kids in the middle of the night.
xctsclrx, our baby has been getting up twice at night this week too. Is there a full moon? All the coffee!
I spent most of the last few days helping my parents finish up packing their house of 48 years. So. Much. Stuff. So I'd planned to help them get settled in their new home this weekend, but there was a glitch with the closing. So now they've moved out of their old house completely, closed on it, and they can't get the closing done on their new house until Tuesday. So... now I'm prepping for house guests. It will all be fine - I'd done most of the prep in anticipation of something like this. They're distraught, trying to figure out if they can rent the new house for a few days until closing rather than reschedule their movers. It will all work out...
I'm on day 2 of no sleep because of the prednisone. I taper again today, so hoping I can get a few hours tonight.
I spent the morning packing for our camping trip and working. I tried submitting a policy about 5 minutes before we left and it didnt work but I can do it Tuesday so I said F it. We are on our way and get to camp the whole weekend. It's a miracle. Last labor day weekend we camped DH worked on Sunday so I'm glad I dont have to solo parent while camping.
Lots of painting this weekend for me. I also must can tomatoes. Monday I'm heading to my sister to meal prep/freezer meal for her since this is her 1st September as a teacher. She tends to get over whelmed and not eat. My contribution to her new house.
School starts Tuesday and DD needs it so bad. She is beyond bored.
