I really wish I could pull off fake lashes. Whenever I try them I feel like it's too much, but I don't have much volume to my real lashes. Plus, my lashes on my left eye are fuller than my right so I look unbalanced.
I got Emily's The Wants palette earlier this week and it is so pretty.
I didn’t buy them right away but haven’t been able to stop thinking about them. With fall on the way, I looked them up and saw they were still in stock, so I snagged Sin, the burgundy ones. They arrived today and are gorgeous. The main part of the sneaker is suede and the trim is a patent type material, and the color is so rich. I’m very happy with them. I kind of want the orange ones now...
Picked up the Emily Wants palette. I love the look of it in person. Might be a few days before I get to use it though because my one eye will not stop watering. Ugh I need to pay off my eye makeup in case I’m reacting to something.

I thought I saw them at Nordstrom. I might need to go back and look again because that burgundy is beautiful.
So my firm is doing its bi-annual meeting this week. Our small staff is based around the country. Five people are flying in, and four of us (three men and me) are here.
Thursday's schedule is a morning session over breakfast at restaurant from 9:45-11:45. Followed by a 45 minute break. Followed by this from my boss "At 12:30, the photographer will be at my house for photos, and people can take turns getting their photos taken while we eat lunch. After that, there will be group shots."
So I point out that maybe having people sit in suits through TWO meals and meetings prior to photos is a terrible idea. He said we can just bring all our stuff to change at his house. I pointed out again that that won't eliminate the problem of tables of food everywhere while getting photographed, and it means that we still can't shower immediately before and have to have stale makeup and frizzy, flat hair. He said these are not a big deal and he isn't changing the schedule.

I asked for burgandy suede Pumas for Christmas but my SO forgot I don't know if they were these exact ones, but I'm ordering them now...and they're cheaper than they were Thanks for reminding me!
I'm doing my own makeup at my wedding at the end of the month, ACK. I planned to try different foundations, practice putting falsies on (never been successful), try different eye looks...but time is just flying.
I think I'll wear the Fenty foundation, which I just bought. It seems to hold up okay.
Does anyone know a drugstore setting powder that is good and doesn't have flashback?

Is it possible to see if a makeup artist can do your makeup or maybe go to a MAC counter?
I'm sure you're 100% capable - it's just nice on a wedding day to relax while a pro takes over and you sip on a mimosa

I would definitely practice as much as you can if you're dedicated to doing your own makeup. Speaking from experience, you want it to be pretty much automatic on that day. So even if you don't do a bunch of different looks, practicing and perfecting one will be really helpful. Also, testing out the wear of there foundation overall, putting it through a test if possible. I'd make sure it's solid for you before you decide which foundation your wearing. Granted, I'm a bit of a perfectionist and that definitely showed in my wedding makeup planning and execution, but I'm glad I did it that way.
Above all, have fun with it and good luck! I don't have good drugstore powder foundation recs, sorry.

Nordstrom is no longer price matching sephora or ulta. Apparently this was a decision they made in March, but I just learned of that today. Dumb move Nordstrom.

I wish! Unfortunately not in the cards due to budget and the location. I've never had my makeup done by a pro so at least I don't know what I'm missing out on? hah.
My Sephora order arrived a couple days ago. One of the things I git was a Fenty lipstick in Freckle Fiesta. It is beautiful. The formula is lightweight and smooth. Plus the color is gorgeous for fall. This will be a new favorite.

I need to find a non-liquid lipstick dupe for Milani Amore Matte Lipcream in Crush. I love the color but my poor lips cannot handle the formula. Tempatila just has liquid lipstick dupes.
secretlyevil- what finish are you looking for? Does it need to be matte? I feel like either Nars or Bite have a lipstick similar to Crush.
I'm just looking for non-liquid. I have a couple of liquid lipsticks I can still wear but for the most part I stay away from it these days as most of them turn my lips into a desert.

Maybe Bite in Nori? I'd also look at what Fenty has.
I really like Temptalia's "compare any two" option under swatches.

You’re brilliant! I didn’t even know you could do that! And fenty has one.

Every good Sephora reward is always sold out before I see it, however I was able to snag the full size Becca champagne pop highlighter for 750 points! I’m so excited since I don’t have that one and I feel like it was a good use of points.

I’ve been in a total makeup rut since moving. I haven’t bought any makeup at all. I’ve actually emptied a few foundations and concealers. I’m hitting up Ulta after work tomorrow. I foresee an expensive Ulta trip tomorrow.
I need a vanity. I can’t find anything that will fit what I have. I need a lot of drawers. I’m at the point that I may have to get 2 IKEA Alex drawers and a table top. Except the closest IKEA is 2 hours away.

Oooh that is good! I have that highlighter and it's a good one. It's definitely the blingy-est one I own and super fun to wear.
