First week of Sept thread

Welcome to September! It’s a big month for the board with lots of transfers coming up in the next couple of weeks.

How is everyone? Any updates or developments? For those in the US who had Labor Day off did you enjoy the long weekend?

I’m 11 dpiui and too scared to test, tired of seeing the stark white test, so I’m just going to wait and see if my period shows up this week.

Yay, finally!!

Testing can be so scary. Fingers crossed for you that the IUI was a success! Do you have a beta scheduled? Or if you don’t get your period will you do a home test?

Thanks for thinking of me. I’m hanging in there... sort of. I’m a little bit of an emotional mess leading up to this transfer. Just really scared to try again and equally scared it won’t work. I’m just trying to remember that nothing I do or think really has an impact and not stress too much or be too down about it but it’s really hard.

First lining check is in the morning so hopefully it will look good and we’ll be on for the 10th! Only a week away!

I hear you and totally get it. So much of the process is paralyzing, especially after a loss or failed cycle. Sometimes doing woo-y stuff helped make me feel like I was doing, but it's exactly what you said. Ultimately, it's a wait and see game. You've got this!

We made the move down here to Florida over the weekend and the movers come tomorrow with all our stuff. Excited to get settled and get ready for the transfer on the 21st. We aren't telling anyone about the transfer. I'm not sure why...I'm just SO hoping it will work and we can surprise everyone with it (they all think it's happening in October or November).

I'm so sorry, pickel.

September, finally! I'm just trudging along. My FET protocol is so long (~6 weeks) and it feels neverending, but now I can finally say transfer is next week (Friday the 14th)!

We had a nice long weekend, we decided to do a last minute overnight to Salem, MA which was fun

Thanks scm1011! Lining was 7 and some change and trilaminar. I hope that is enough! She said it looked good but it seems like a little thicker than that would be ideal. Maybe it’ll plump up a little more in the next 6 days?

Good luck! My doctor looks for 7-8 and trilaminar so that sounds great to me!

scm1011, So exciting! It does feel like the FET is long! I hope the next few weeks breeze by!

Just waiting on my period to start BCP for a fresh cycle. Only on day 13 so we've got a while. Praying this cycle is 24 days like some of the ones earlier this year!

I'm in the 2WW right now and it's killing me. One minute I'm thinking it worked and the next I'm disappointed. I'm only 4dpIUI. The RE was saying if this doesn't work we can do another IUI with daily injections but because of the cost we'd probably just move onto IVF after we get our tax refund.

Thank you all so much for the reassurance. My doctor just called me personally (I LOVE HER) and was super enthusiastic about the lining (lol.) We are good to go for Monday! She thinks the other doctor was overly conservative in her measurement and put me at 8.1 based on the ultrasound imaging and said it looks perfect. I feel soooooo much better after talking to her.

I'm waiting to hear from my RE, the Hystrosonogram showed what appears to me left over contents from my last miscarriage. I am guessing this means I'll need a D&C.

This.  I am so sorry shoeless.  A miscarriage is bad enough without it dragging out so long.  I'm so sorry.  I hope they can make this as quick and painless as possible for you.

pickel that sounds so moving but also so hard. I’m sorry you and your H aren’t on the same page about next steps. Have you had a deep convo with your RE about options? Do they agree that donor is your best bet?

I have a heart condition which makes my OB nervous so he tries to avoid anesthesia whenever possible (anesthesiologist don’t seem concerned but my sister -an anesthesiologist- generally agrees with my OB). I’m not sure how big of an issue it is or isn’t but I’d rather be conservative... ask me again in a month if I still feel this way. Lol

Hey all. Right before we left on vacation i found out I have two cysts on my ovaries, so they are not letting me do iui #2 this month. On BC pills this month. Ugh so disappointed. And to make matters worse, bc of cycle timing I will miss the next two months bc of travel unless I can delay my period a few days. How long after you are done with active pills does your period start? 2-3 days?

I'm so sorry, that sucks. Can you continue bc pills for a few extra days to delay your period? It seems like people do this allllll the time for IVF cycle starts so it doesn't seem like it should cause any issues. At least that would help with the timing of your next couple of cycles.
