Posting for the first time (but I've been lurking for a little while)...I started Lupron last week, will start stims next week and hopefully our first ER around 9/24. We'll be freezing everything, doing PGS testing and probably won't transfer till December (due to lingering bacteria on my endometrial lining we've been trying to clear up since June).
I'll just do a little intro too...I'm 35, PCOS; DH is 38, MFI...we've been TTC for over 6 years, through many years of TTC on our own, trying to lose weight due to morbid obesity (no RE would do any type of fertility treatments at my weight) and eventually having weight loss surgery over 2 years ago, trying again on our own. We found out about DH's MFI about a year ago and have been on the road to IVF ever since.

Welcome! I'm glad you came out of lurkdom to join us. This is a really informative and supportive community. Plus it's exiting to have another September cycle buddy. There are a ton of us doing IVF or transfers this month. Good luck with everything and please keep chiming in if you have questions or updates you want to share along the way.
Hey all. Right before we left on vacation i found out I have two cysts on my ovaries, so they are not letting me do iui #2 this month. On BC pills this month. Ugh so disappointed. And to make matters worse, bc of cycle timing I will miss the next two months bc of travel unless I can delay my period a few days. How long after you are done with active pills does your period start? 2-3 days?
I went through this exact thing. I had 1 cyst through that just kept growing so they put me on BC and I still had to monitor once a week to see if it was decreasing. Not what you want to hear but after 8 week it didn't decrease so I had to have it aspirated. I always stayed on the active pills so I never had a period. Once I had the cyst aspirated I came off BC and my period arrived 2 days later.

I'm so sorry, that sucks. Can you continue bc pills for a few extra days to delay your period? It seems like people do this allllll the time for IVF cycle starts so it doesn't seem like it should cause any issues. At least that would help with the timing of your next couple of cycles.
Thatβs what I am going to try to do....just need to figure out how many extra pills to take. I donβt remember how long it takes to get your period once active pills are over with.

Iβm sorry it stuck around so long. They took blood and good news is that itβs not producing any hormones. So hopefully one month of Bc takes care of it.

I was on BC to start this FET cycle and I got my period 3 days after the active pills finished. My protocol said its usually 3-5 days. Good luck!!
We are in Barbados and had our first clinic visit this morning for blood work and an ultrasound. We have to go back this afternoon to go over paperwork and to see if they want me to continue medication for 2 more days of if they want to trigger tonight. If they want to trigger today, this is going way faster than we were expecting.
I am to continue the Menopur and Gonal F for 2 more days, but add Cetrotide tonight. We have an ultrasound Sunday, and will go from there. π
Almost there! Are you planning a fresh transfer of oossibke, or will this be a freeze all cycle?
We are hoping to do a fresh transfer if possible, with some left to freeze. I only have 4 follicles showing for my left ovary and 6 on my right, so we will see what we end up with. This is kind of a one shot deal, so if we end up not being successful on retrieval, we are done. So we have our fingers crossed for sure!

I will keep everything crossed for you! That sounds like a decent number of follicles so hopefully you will have one to transfer and some to freeze as well.
