Monday-ist Tuesday ever!!

Welcome back to the real world, friends!! How was the long weekend? What did you do?

I don't wanna be back in the real world!

The long weekend was really good, though. Friday I met a friend at a local bar, then when she and her husband went home I met one of my friends from college out at another place, but got tired really early and had to go home and sleep.

Saturday evening I went out with a newer friend and we went to dinner together, then to meet a guy for a date for her (he was in a group). The date was a bust, but we had a good time together. I also got 2 guys' numbers Saturday night.

Sunday evening I ended up going to trivia with another friend. One of the bouncers from a bar we frequent (her more than me) joined us, then talked us into checking out this pool party he was going to afterwards, even though we didn't have swimsuits with us. Almost everyone was dressed as some type of cartoon character, I think. We were totally out of place. As the birthday boy was pointing people out to us/introducing us around, I recognized one of the guys and he asked if he knew me from somewhere. He's a detective I was talking to on eHarmony and he wasn't on much and then not at all, so clearly it never went anywhere. After I said how we knew each other, at his friend's urging, he avoided me for a long time. Eventually we talked for a bit and exchanged numbers when my friend and I were getting ready to leave the party.

Yesterday I had lunch with the first friend I met out on Friday. We also went to the nursery and then to Trader Joe's. She introduced me to their sheet masks and I introduced her to their hair mask. I ended up having a spontaneous coffee date with one of the guys I met Saturday evening also. All in all a ridiculously full weekend.

It was a REALLY long weekend for me, since I was on vacation all last week! I had to do some work, but it was wrapped up by Thursday morning, thankfully...we were visiting DH's family in Canada. As usual, I did a ton of cooking for everyone, but everyone loved the food, so it was worth it.

DH's 91-year-old mom has a boyfriend, and it's the cutest thing ever. He comes to visit her at least once a day and brings her groceries and the newspaper and stuff. He also calls her every night to talk. DH's mom and dad were super close friends with this guy and his wife, and DH's dad died ~15 years ago, and the guy's wife died about a year and a half ago, so the friendship has apparently started to morph into something romantic. I told MIL I'd bake her wedding cake lol.

We got back late Saturday evening, so I was glad to still have two days to recover from the drive. DH and I went to a few wineries over the weekend, so that was fun, and I spontaneously bought a Eufy, which should be arriving shortly.

Oh, and I'm about to sign a job offer that comes with a ~15% raise.

My weekend was a lot of fun, but a lot of running! Friday night, bf and I went to the Minnesota State Fair and saw Gym Class Heroes, The Offspring and 311. I wasn't well-versed on 311, but damn if the lead singer isn't a total hottie! He took his shirt off at one point and I'm all "yeah, buddy" . Anyway, we wandered around the fair for a bit and then went out for a few drinks. Bf got a cool hotel in Minneapolis and we ended up sleeping until 10:30, which is insanely late for me!

We drove home and I spent exactly 30 minutes in my house, which was just enough time to get ready to leave again. I bartended at my friend's wedding and made decent tips. Bf came out there and ended up being my barback. I ended up sleeping over at his place after I was done working.

Sunday, I got up and ran home for exactly 30 minutes, which was just enough time to grab my stuff. Then I drove a couple of hours to meet up with my bff and crew to camp for the night. It was rainy, but that didn't really matter. We all hung out, caught up and had some drinks. Got up Monday and helped clean up the camp site and then headed home. Took DS school shopping, since I hadn't gotten any supplies yet and he started school today (oops!). Then we had dinner at my mom's.

It was a really good weekend, but I'm glad to be back into the groove and sleeping in my own bed!

My weekend isn’t over with yet so yahoo to that!

Friday night we saw a movie with a bunch of other couples and then went to someone’s house after for drinks.

Saturday we worked in the yard, and I destroyed a bunch of gardens (yessss). We then went to our neighbors to play jackbox, which was hysterical.

Sunday was the outlet mall and more garden work.

Monday was MORE garden work and then we went to my mom’s for a picnic.

I’m finishing the last of the garden work today. Basically I’m transplanting a lot of stuff and ripping stuff out as our huge pine tree is getting cut down today.

Friday, I had drinks with a friend.

Saturday, I worked and then my new washer and dryer were delivered. Then I had dinner and drinks with some friends.

Sunday I did laundry and hung out with the kids. Monday was the same. Kids are back to school today.
