Before We Were Yours by Lisa Wingate, 3* Universal Harvester by John Darnielle,1* All is Not Forgotten by Wendy Walker,2* And Every Morning the Way Home Gets Longer and Longer by Fredrik Backman, didn't rate because I listened to the audio book which I hated. Don't Let Go by Harlan Coben, 4* I'll Be Gone By Dark by Michelle McNamara, 1* The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer, 3*
I'm amazed that I read this many books this month! The best book was Don't Let Go. I usually like Harlan Coben's books so it's no surprise.
Pretty good month for me but they are almost all from my week of vacation.
The Trespasser by Tana French - 4*
Still Life by Louise Penny - 3.5*
Every Heart a Doorway by Seanan McGuire - 4*
A Curious Beginning by Deanna Rayburn - 3.5*
Down Among the Sticks and Bones by Seanan McGuire - 4.5*
Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller - 4*
Nothing particularly good this month. The Seanan McGuire books are good but really short. Song of Achilles was very well written but I didn't particularly enjoy the story (just personal preference).
26/30 for the year. My goal was originally 25 but I increased it this month.
All We Ever Wanted by Emily Giffin, 3.5* When Life Gives you Lululemons by Lauren Weisberger, 4* One of Us is Lying by Karen McManus, 4.5* Good Luck With That by Kristan Higgins, 3.5*
Best book of the moth was One of Us is Lying. I wasn't familiar with the author and didn't really know what to expect so I enjoyed it more than I thought I would.

I do read very quickly! The checkout woman at the library always teases me when I come in and only two books are waiting for me. She says that we all know that isn’t enough books for me!
Now That You Mention it by Kristan Higgins *** the Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid **** Shelter in Place by Nora Roberts *** Eleanor Oliphant is completely fine by Gail Honeyman ****
I was on track to read a few more and now my reading has just all backed up since I keep putting books down to finish others lol.
I think my favorite was Eleanor Oliphant. I liked it a lot more than I had anticipated.

travella curious why you rate I'll be gone in the dark as 1 star. I read it a couple months ago and don't remember it being anything special, but my book club is reading it this month and everyone seems to love it.

I hated the lack of continuity and the constant jumping around in the timeline. The book felt like it was hastily thrown together because they had a tip that someone would be arrested soon and they wanted to get the book out before that happened for book sales. The only part of the book that I enjoyed was the letter written by the author to the Golden State Killer. I think the book would have been a lot better had she been able to finish the book herself.
I finally finished Hawaii! 1100 freaking pages took me two months. I really liked it though. The pacing was great for such a behemoth. This is why I stopped counting books and started counting pages. Hawaii was worth, like, 5 or 6 books.
