Whine and Wine Wednesday

Gimme a whine and a wine!

Whine - I'm not going to see C again for another 10 days.  We agreed we'd make sure to always see each other at least every two weeks. Up until now we've seen each other far more frequently.  This is the first time we'll have to go the full two weeks between visits.  Sucks.

Wine - One of my co-workers left a bottle of wine for me at his hotel front desk a few weeks ago.  I just scanned it with this wine app that I use and it's worth $215!  Um, what?!?!  I won't be drinking that tonight.

kaneen, how'd this weekend go?

Whine - I think my AC is making me sick...I had it off for a bit and flipped it on, yesterday, to get rid of some of the humidity and both DS and I had breathing stuff last night. I'm going to have to change the filter on that bad boy asap.

Wine - I bought a bottle last night, since it was cheaper than buying it by the glass. I don't think I'll drink it tonight though...but it was tasty!

Oh man, enjoy that wine when you do open it, kaneen!

Whine: I'm hungry, but I'm trying to lose weight, so I need to save calories for tonight.

Wine: It's Wining Wednesday, so we'll be going out with the usual crowd--I usually get either Cab Sav or Malbec. DH and I went wine tasting this weekend, and I was good--I only bought 5 bottles. We started one at the winery and finished it at home Sunday night, but I still have the other 4. We were unimpressed with Dave Matthew's (of DMB) winery--it was crowded and the wines were just ok. The other two we went to were much smaller and less crowded, AND the wines were better.

It went really well.  Little C is a cool ass kid.  I spent quite a bit of time with them and all of it was really casual and relaxed.  Saturday evening we took little C and a friend of his to a soccer game.  Sunday we spent the day at the beach with a big group of people.  After they dropped me at the airport on Monday little C told C he liked me because I'm "nice and funny".  He proceeded to ask a bunch of questions about me.  So it was good!

To your AC - my friend had a similar issue and ended up cleaning the ducts after replacing the filter didn't do the trick.  She said it made a world of difference so maybe look into that if changing the filter isn't enough.  Good luck!

I texted the review from the app to the guy who left it for me and told him he needs to come to town soon so we can drink it together.  Looks like that'll be next week.  Can't wait!

Whine - OMG it's hot as balls. Seriously, it's so hot our local schools are out (100+ year old buildings with no AC and heat indexes over 100). I tried to walk the dogs at lunchtime and we went exactly 1 house and turned around to come back inside, LOL

Wine - I am embarrassed to admit I have leftover wine from this weekend with my mom that I haven't finished yet. Oops. Guess I have my evening plans all set!

Whine: I think I am coming down with whatever cold the kids had.

No booze, unless cough medicine counts.

Whine - I'm tired and there are already too many meetings at work.

Wine - None tonight, but I'm sure I'll have some tomorrow on a date. I had a nice Baby Amarone last Thursday on my birthday, so that's my recommendation.
