1. Kindle, Facebook, Pinterest for recipes 2. We do. DD isn’t that into it, but DS can be obsessed, so we try to limit his use. They love the Disney Jr app and a Hatchimals app. DS loves YouTube but we blocked it. He finds really weird stuff on it.

1. Facebook, Instagram, Audible, Podcast Addict 2. They have the kid Kindles with Amazon Unlimited, so they just mess around with all the apps available in there. They love the episodes of PBS shows like Odd Squad.
1. Simpsons Tapped Out, Panda Pop, Pinterest When I'm home and playing with the tablet I don't want anything that takes too much mind power. I still read paper books as after a whole day staring at the screen I need a break.
2. Very seldom...when she is on it she plays Majong, the adult color pages, or a bubble pop game. She gets really frustrated with technology. Her favorite Netflix show is Magic School Bus and we do download a couple of those for long car trips and she watches them on the tablet.
1. Facebook, LinkedIn, Ebates, IBotta 2. They both have iPads. DH and DD1 read Harry Potter on the Kindle app, they both like Disney and Nick apps. I ask them to stay off youtube on their iPads, but they will use it to watch shows like Berenstain Bears or Thomas the Train through the Apple TV. DD1 plays "Cool Math Games" and DD2 has a Dora app to practice letters.

1. MyFitnessPal, FB, Instagram, Pinterest 2. Both kids have kindle fires at MIL's house. I dont know what they use, but I have it set up for only age appropriate apps, books, etc. Ds was playing a game called Free Flow the other day which was nice to see. I actually started playing on my tablet lol. I hate when they just watch videos of toys on YouTube though. It's the worst.

1. FB, Pinterest, My Radar, and the Nest because I am obsessed with the temperature & weather
2. The only app my kids use is YouTube. I don't have games downloaded on my phone. The only other thing of interest to them on there is my camera. ETA: We had an ipad but my DD broke it and we never replaced it because their screen time is already probably too much.

1. Training Peaks, accuweather app, google calendar, facebook, whats app
2. The kids use Starfall, ABC Mouse, and PBS Kids shows as well as games. Actually, Starfall and ABC Mouse are games that were recommended for DS' use for dyslexia, and he spends zero time on those. DD loves them though.

1. Facebook, Wunderlist, and WhatsApp 2. We don't let the kids use iPads at our house, but they do at my parents' house. They listen to Sparkle Stories and watch shows on Youtube.
2. Amazon Freetime is great because I dont worry about what he is watching/playing. I hate that he wants to play Candy Crush, especially on my account...lol.
1. Instagram is probably the only app I scroll through. Others all serve a purpose - Venmo to pay babysitters, OrangeTheory to book classes, banking etc.
2. The kids don't use iphones/ipdads except on planes. DD has used her school math app a couple times. We use the TV screen as a babysitter when necessary vs. other screens.
1. Netflix- I have been watching shows on my phone because my DH takes over the TV. And if I want to watch a show, the eye rolls, deep sighs, and deep looks at me to change it to something he likes is too annoying. We do watch some stuff together but not too much lately because the seasons haven't started up again. You tube, Facebook, pinterest, pictures.
2. DS got really into Prodigy, so I tried it at home and it drove me crazy. It always asked for a password that he forgot, asked for in app purchases etc. They mostly are on Starfall and to replace Prodigy I downloaded a random lego game. I like it because they are building things. I try to limit the phone/ iPad, so they don't do too much on there. They are mostly on the camera because the rest is password protected.
186momx , I honestly didn't see a lot of educational value. Yes it is a math game, but more like a game with some math. I am not sure why the schools use it except that it is free, or how they manage kids on it.
2. They haven't really been interested in our iPads. We look at our iPhones occasionally with them for music and pictures/videos but they don't play on them.
DD had a different math game - I cannot remember what it was called. It was WAY better and they got rid of it. It tested them through games over and over and over. And displayed what facts they hadn’t mastered then made those appear more frequently.
1. Kindle, FB 2. DD has a Kindle with Freetime. I'm not sure exactly what she's playing, but I know it's a lot of animal hair salon.
Speaking of apps... does anyone know of a kid-friendly kindle app for learning Spanish?
Duolingo!! DD1 started 3rd grade at a new school where the kids had been learning Spanish since K. She did 30 mins all summer just to be able to follow along in class.

I don't know why I didn't think of this. I have it on my own kindle. Not that I've spent much time with it...
1. Facebook, goodreads, Nextdoor and the audiobook apps from the library (axis360 and hoopla). 2. My kids get allocations of screentime per day. DS1 likes to do Minecraft on the laptop these days. DS2 likes to do apps on the kindle and will do silly videos on kids tube and some the other game apps. We are also having him use kids a-z / razkids for reading and his school login.
