Last day to sign up is Monday, October 8!! Draw will happen October 9. I’ve heard from all those who’ve posted most recently, but if I missed someone, hurry up and sign up please.
Mine will be out on Tuesday. My nephew was born on the 14th and had to have emergency heart surgery at 2 days old.
I have been back and forth to the hospital for my sister every other day since then.
I finished my gift this afternoon but won't make it to the post office until Tuesday.
That's so tough- parents shouldn't have to go through such scary things with their babies, let alone such a brand new little guy! I hope he's doing well.

Mine is done and heading to the post office tomorrow! I survived Thanksgiving with my sister here, but ornaments got put off to the last minute. I love this time of year!!

Mine was shipped today! I went with UPs since Canada Post is doing rotating strikes and ouch that hurt! It will definitely arrive within the week though.
He is doing great and going beyond where the doctors thought he would be today.
My sister is doing great and loving being able to finally hold him again.
Best.feeling.ever
Glad he's doing well. Sending continued prayers
She is loving it! He was 11 hours old when he was airlifted to another hospital so in the first ten days of his life, she got to hold her son for less than ten hours total. The last two days have lifted her spirits so much.
Don't hate me I forgot to go the post office this morning **. I'm going to try going this afternoon but I don't know if I'm going to make it until tomorrow because I doing think the baby will be up so I can go before the bus comes, then B has a swim lesson.....
**I was off my Tuesday routine this morning because we had to relocate my knitting group because WHAT THE MOTHER EFF my local coffee shop decided to remove all the couches and their chairs are so uncomfortable we weren't going to knit there today so we went to Panera, but I wasn't sure if this crazy girl who literally hates me was working there now (I don't think she is whew - Whole different story there but this girl is legit... off) so I was not on my A game today. Plus this other woman ***tried to take over my knitting group and move it to Monday. What the hell lady, I don't even know you, why are you posting that the group is now on Monday. You can f*ck right off.
***I posed in my group FB that we needed to move knitting, and asked opinions of our regulars in our local craft group on FB. Lady chimes in and says she'll call Panera and just kinda steamrolled when she has LEGIT never joined us knitting. THEN she posts in the community (not craft) FB group that knitting is on MONDAY at Panera. Cue side eye from my regular Tuesday ladies. Like, I don't care if you plan your own knitting group on a different day, I don't care if you post about it in the local craft group because that's what it's for, but don't come in here like you're moving my regular group.
mala - deep breaths, nobody will hate you if yours goes out a day late
Also, a knitting group sounds really fun. The place where I took my lessons (to enhance my you tube study, lol) has this every Thursday, but they are so far away and I'm still working so I don't go.
And I'm annoyed at the steamrolling lady on your behalf.
Thanks! I also thought the mail date was the 29th. Oops.
You should totally make your own knitting group. That's what I did because the local groups weren't at good times for me. I couldn't do evenings cause I needed to be able to take the kids with me sometimes. And I didnt feel like the kids would be welcome at the other one (which was not in a remotely kid friendly location). So I've made my own. It's a small group, but I really like the ladies.
I’m a creature of habit, so the coffee shop getting rid of their couches would have thrown me. And then to have someone try to steal the group would have really thrown me. Hope it goes better next week and the group thief goes back into the woodwork.

And after waiting in long lines yesterday, I’m tempted to make the mail date next year for the Tuesday or Wednesday after Thanksgiving. The one postal clerk who recognizes me as someone who ships things I sell often reminded me that Monday is one one of the busiest shipping days of the year.
Life has been crappy the last couple weeks. Job stuff (two weeks ago today I was on a business trip to my company's home office and was told I'm being laid off... after over 15 years with the company), health stuff (I've been fighting with my insurance company about a specialist referral for a month and a half), and feeling like crap (aka - I need to see the specialist). At least the insurance is thru my husband, so I won't have that impacted by the layoff...
So the package spent a couple days staring at me in the office. I cracked into it today, and man, I feel like I may have underachieved on the gift I sent out. The ornaments and chocolate and little bear tea-caddy (I think it was called a trinket tray, but it's about perfect for dealing with the bits that come out of a tea cup instead of setting them on the counter) are awesome! I suck at posting photos, so it might be a bit before I can post 'em, but they are great! And a good pick-me-up. Thank you!
Also, I shipped mine out last week. It's pretty bare-bones compared to the package I received, so hopefully the recipient is not disappointed. *feeling anxious*

I wasn't sure whether I should like this- ha- we really need a headpat like and hug likes and frownie likes. I'm so sorry for all the first paragraph stuff, though. (headpat+hug like).
I can't wait to see pics, of all of them! I forgot to take pictures before I sent mine off this year, and while it's awesome that you were hit with some extra love at a time you need it- I'm positive that nobody is going to feel like they were shorted by an ornament you made.

I had all the materials for the ornaments so they were free! I only bought the trinket tray and chocolate so I was still in budget
I am sorry about all your work stuff. That is the pits.

I figured it was from you. It's very spiffy. I love the little knitting needles!
I'm sorry some of you guys are having such a crappy week.
Mine went out on Monday, along with another Secret Santa I'm doing with a yoga FB group. That one was international. I spend legit 15 minutes in the post office trying not to be annoyed by inept people all around me.
I wish my knitting group was still running. The one at my LYS stopped when the store closed, and the one at our local Starbucks stopped when people moved away
