TGIF: Weekend Plans?

DD3 is lying on the floor mad at me b/c she wants to go to the ocean, and I am JUST NOT LETTING HER! We live in Wisconsin.

DD1 is having a friend over after school for an "almost sleepover". I have stuff to make pizzas and a couple movies. We are going to try making those funfetti cake mix cookies for the first time.

Tomorrow we have soccer, but not early (yay!); Sunday we have dinner for DH's dad's birthday. In between we have a lot of organization to do in every room of the house! I also want to finish getting out my "fall" decor stuff. I got two huge pots of mums at Costco for the porch but I have yet to put up the other stuff, and it's definitely fall-y here now. Trees are changing, and while it was 82 yesterday, it's only supposed to be in the 60s this weekend.

OMG - how dare you not take her to the ocean...lol.

We have a soccer game for Luke. DH bought Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom so we will watch that. And I am hoping to shampoo my carpet and clean the garage - thats it. Basketball Tourneys start next week so we will be very busy for all of October.

Um, guys, I ditched my family, and I’m in Croatia with my mom. So that’s my weekend plan - swimming, touring Dubrovnik, touring Mostar, and heading home on Tuesday.

It’s been snowing here all weekend, so it’s given me a reason not to go anywhere. The kids loved spending the day playing in the snow. DD has 4-H today and I kind of hope it’s cancelled. I don’t want my first winter driving experience of the year to be with the truck and trailer.

jag01 Snow!? Where are you? My kids would be thrilled. They’ve been listening to Xmas music all day. Small consolation prize for me making them dust the house and clean their room.

Yes, we got about 6 inches. It’s going to melt off and be super mucky for a while. Just a sad reminder of what is around the corner. I’m in Alberta.

Friday I stayed at school for teacher appreciation festivities at the football game. It was fun to be escorted on the field by one of my students and hang out with my colleagues. I Felt kinda bad for not inviting Dh and the kids but I really just wanted to relax and hangout with my friends. It was a blast!

Saturday Dh and I drive up to LA for his cousin’s wedding reception. We stayed the night so we could spend more time with my BILs who flew in from the Midwest. I was the dd but it was fun to hang out with dh’s Family that we don’t see often. My parents had the kids for a sleepover.

We got back around 3 and have been on the go to get laundry done, groceries purchased, and food prepped. Busy, busy!

Friday I prepped because on Saturday I chaired/organized our neighborhood Oktoberfest. Saturday I spent all day on that and some friends came over for an after party. Sunday we hit a local pumpkin patch for some fun then came home and got ready for the week.
