H was told to be at work yesterday by 9 am (the lawyers he supports have a trial starting today). This is not paid, just expected. They didn't actually give him any work to do til 5 pm, and then he didn't walk in the door til midnight.
Today he took the train that leaves our station an hour earlier than his normal one. I can't wait til this trial is over, so he can focus on searching for a job closer to home.

We had such a great weekend! Yesterday SIL, BIL and nieces came over. SIL is down here because she has a job interview today. Hopefully they will be relocating soon too!
Not much going on this week. I need to go food shopping tonight or tomorrow.
Friday there is a half day of school so I get off early. I have no clue what I’m going to do but looking forward to it lol.
We may go to Disney again this weekend. It depends on H’s work schedule. DH wants to finish the booths we didn’t do Saturday at food and wine fest, but I kinda want to go to a different park, so we will see.
Today: seeing my grandparents and parents for dinner before my grandparents travel back home (they live in NC). Tomorrow: DD appointment Wednesday: OB appointment Thursday: Getting paid 100 $ to do a research study Friday: Nothing, thankfully, besides working
grover I hope your H can find something closer asap!
This week starts DH working all Saturdays until further notice. Between a couple guys being out for injuries and getting a new procedure set they are a month behind schedule. Not looking forward to the extended 6 day a week work schedule but we have dealt with it before.
Oh! Last week we got a letter/check in the mail from our bank. Our bank does repayments for using online bill pay for 10 customers a month and our account was drawn! We received a $250 check for a credit card payment I made last month. Woot woot! That was an awesome surprise.

bk1- great news on the bank repayments. Sorry about your DH having to work Saturdays now...I hope he goes back to his normal schedule as quickly as possible.
grover- prayers your DH finds a job closer to home- that’s a very long day for him.

wineandcheese Love Disney! We are going in a month. Hubs is a Disney virgin, so we are pumped, I can’t wait for him to experience it. Our magic bands should arrive this week! Yay!
Due to hubs crazy week, last week. He picked up a bug... poor guy! So yesterday consistent of recovery instead of the fun date day I had planned, which is not a big deal. The next time we will see each other this week for longer than an hour is next Monday haha!
I have a pretty busy week with work & errands. But it is all good. I have a few lunches planned with some girlfriends this week to break up my week!

My house is getting fixed, part 2! The guys are here right now working on the attic and the bedroom ceiling.
We had a great weekend with T's baptism and family in town....MIL, SIL and BIL are the last to leave today and so then it's back to normal. I have a little bit of cleaning up to do but overall the house is in pretty good shape.
R has music class on Wed and T has his 2-month doctor's appt on Thurs. Otherwise, lots of random errands, work, etc. I also need to order baptism thank you cards (for R we made ones with photos from the baptism and they came out so nice, so we're going to do that again.)
grover, that is a terribly long day for your and for you as well! bk1, I love when things like that happen! luv2rn4fun, can't believe L is 2 already! Happy birthday to him.
Not much going on this week. B has a checkup later in the week and I'll drag G along to knock out flu shots. I'm getting one of the new iPhones this week or next- just depends on when it's in stock. I'm annoyed that every iPhone I've ever had just seems to go to crap at almost exactly the two year mark. My current 6S phone has been slowly losing functionality and now I can't even take a picture with it. But, I'm hooked so I'm going to get a new one anyway. I'm excited to have portrait mode!
Dropped H off at the airport at 7 am (E cried, therefore I cried). He is in Boston this week and I'm so jealous. I want to go! Lobster rolls and clam chowder. And like museums and history and stuff.
OB appt at 8:45. Fortunately it was quick. Pharmacy after.
Worked on schoolwork.
Chiropractor appt at 12:30. I like her! She definitely identified tightness where I expected it.
More schoolwork. Aced a quiz.
Laundry and TV right now and milk and cookies right now, haha.
E has a flu shot appt at 4.
Ninja class at 5:30... it's bring a friend week, so E's cousin is coming and I'll get to hang out with his mom for an hour yay.
I think I'll take E to get BBQ baked potatoes for dinner because I'm craving that.
Then bath and bedtime. At some point, my BIL needs me to install a carseat in his truck because he's watching E the next 2 days while I'm working.

travelbug so exciting! Maybe if it’s not creepy , we can do a meetup!
We aren’t doing Disney this weekend. I’m kinda ok with it lol. DH went to the eye doctor this morning and it cost a little more then he planned to buy a regular pair and safety pair. Hopefully we can go to a few local events instead.
I had my check engine light, traction control off and 4wd lights go on this morning on my way to work. Cue panic attack, legit. DH ended up coming to my job, taking my car on a test drive to feel nothing wrong. My boss was angry I took too long outside with him so she was pissy the rest of the day. Got gas after work and the lights went off. Guessing my gas cap was loose after my last fill up, but we drove over 250 miles, no issue. Guess we will keep an eye on it all week. FX it was nothing.

We've been having a horrible few days. Nothing serious, just unexpected money and some things not working out as planned. I don't even have the energy to bitch about it right now. I'm just exhausted and want to curl up in a ball. One nice thing is that H really surprised me in a good way today. Silver lining I guess.
This weekend my sister can get us into the children's museum for free so we're doing that. Other than some work events that's all our plans!
estrellita- I hope this week is better for you guys.
This is the 3rd week dh and I are both working since dd was born. (I’m not sure if I even mentioned on here that dh got a job, it was a quick start and good for him)
We are just trying to figure out our new normal schedule and it’s hard. I imagine it will be a little easier when I have more weekdays off and I am home alone during the day. I will be able to prep more for meals and such for the days that we are both working.

We had a work outing today and it was really fun! We did a scavenger hunt around town that ended at the bar where we got drinks and apps! My anxiety got the best of me and I was standing alone for a while until my boss came over and said I should come sit with her and some of the coworkers I sit by. She deals with anxiety too so it was nice that she noticed it and came over. It made me feel so much better. I ended up sitting and chatting with a coworker I don't usually see eye to eye with so that was nice!
I've been anxious this week. Lots going on plus DH has worked long hours this week as well. I used all that anxious energy yesterday to deep clean the living room and rearrange the furniture. That felt awesome to get accomplished.
Post by wineandcheese on Sept 28, 2018 15:30:37 GMT -5
bk1 I like the deep cleaning not the anxiety. I’m sorry your feeling anxious.
Well I’m unemployed. I walked out a few days earlier then my 2 weeks. I lasted until yesterday. I did talk to DH prior to doing it and he told me to leave. He was impressed that I held it together and didn’t teach the kids a bunch of new bad words but I didn’t want to just walk away from the kids. I will not put up with constant passive aggressive comments, talking to the parents, students and people interviewing about me negatively and making crap up then treating me as if I was a child. Nope not happening. I actually woke up in a pretty good mood this morning and haven’t had any anxiety today. The last few weeks, I’ve been having anxiety attacks, which I haven’t had since we moved. I knew I shouldn’t of taken the job, I had a bad feeling but was desperate to work. I’m so glad to have met the kids, I learned so much from them and don’t regret that at all. Back to square one.
I still have an interview for the fire department EMS dispatcher job next week. I’m chatting with all my 911 dispatcher friends for interview tips and questions to ask. I’m fixing up my resume too.
We are planning a low key weekend this weekend. Tomorrow we are planning a beach day. Sunday we will walk downtown and hit up the farmers market.
luv2rn4fun & wineandcheese, he is liking it so far. I think he is liking that he is out of the house daily more then anything. He says it is a little weird though as the company he is working for just started building rock walls and other hardscaping stuff, so the other employees are new to it and he has 4+ years experience doing it. Lol
We are getting better at the new schedule, I think the hardest part is going to be my 2 day shifts. The rest of the week hasn’t been too bad
wineandcheese I don’t think that’s creepy at all haha. We will be there during the week, mon night- fri morning. So not optimal for a get together this time ( but I would of loved to if we were there for a longer time! That would be so fun!
Good for you wineandcheese. Take care of yourself and don't stay in a bad situation.
Welp, I have a full fledged cold and probable sinus infection. I feel like crap. Thank goodness I saw my OB at work Thursday and told her, and she wrote me a script for antibiotics in case it turned into a sinus infection. I filled it this morning.

Ugh I feel like a crappy person. I meant to get something for my sister since we were seeing her today. After dinner my mom pulls out a gift for her. CRAP. Now I feel bad and if we go out and get something now I feel like it's not genuine. I was thinking we could run and get her a bottle of wine or a gift card but I don't want her to think I just didn't consider getting her a gift. Grr.

So my sister got a VR thing and I tried it tonight. It was cool! Best use ever though was using it to experience Disney rides I won't go on, lol. I watched Expedition Everest, the Seven Dwarves Mine Ride, Tower of Terror and the one at CA adventures.. screaming Mickey I think? I don't go on roller coasters so it was cool to "go on" them virtually!
