1. How far along are you this week? 34 weeks going on 35
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? Questions for the group? heartburn and headaches. sounds about right. i went from being a trooper this pregnancy to just feeling really uncomfortable. i'm glad we moved almost a month ago because i wouldn't be able to do what i did today.
3. What kind of prenatal exercise(s) are you doing? i'm just doing a lot of walking. we moved to a new area and i just didn't see the point in joining the gym this far along. i do miss it though.
4. It's Fall Premiere Week! Are there any new shows that you're looking forward to watching?
i want to see shameless but i dont have showtime. need to download it somewhere.
1. How far along are you this week? Very cautiously saying hi at 3+6
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? Questions for the group? Just trying to decide when to call my OB for betas and a progesterone reading.
3. What kind of prenatal exercise(s) are you doing? LOL. I have a stupidly young DS so chasing him around will be my exercise. We do go on lots of walks. I have a prenatal yoga DVD but I didn't do it last time so I assume I wont this time either. But last time I had a broken foot for all of first trimester, so anything is an improvement!
4. It's Fall Premiere Week! Are there any new shows that you're looking forward to watching? Not big on tv, but I will stream at least part of the Voice.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? Questions for the group? My job is really stressing me out this school year. I'm trying so hard to relax and not let things get to me, but it feels like everything is being thrown my way. For example, last Friday after school I found out I had to change classrooms as soon as possible. I just moved into the other one over the summer and will move again in a few months. Thanks to a lot of help I got it done this weekend, but I'm still wiped out. Last night I dreamed this morning was Saturday. Big disappointment waking up.
3. What kind of prenatal exercise(s) are you doing? None. My energy level isn't there.
4. It's Fall Premiere Week! I don't know about any new ones. I'll look forward to This Is Us and others I can't remember.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? Questions for the group?
Lack of sleep is killing me. I woke up at 4:45 AM this morning and could not fall back asleep. I'm averaging about 5 hours of sleep a night and it SUCKS. I'm so freaking tired. Good practice for when we have a newborn in the house, but I really really really wish I could enjoy some sleep before the baby gets here.
3. What kind of prenatal exercise(s) are you doing?
LOL, nothing. I have done a few prenatal yoga videos on youtube, but I'm mainly just way too tired. Taking care of a 3 year old saps all my energy. I've noticed if I walk too much with her during the day, I get sharp pains in my legs and lots of BH contractions, so I'm mostly taking it easy.
4. It's Fall Premiere Week! Are there any new shows that you're looking forward to watching?
I'm excited for new TV to come back. I like Grey's and I'm interested in the Murphy Brown reboot. I loved that show as a kid.
katespade: Can you share which prenatal yoga series you found on youtube? I've tried a few but haven't found any I like yet. I'd love a suggestion.
1. How far along are you this week? 16w4d STM with twins
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? Questions for the group? My OB called me first thing Monday morning to tell me the results from my AFP blood test were slightly elevated, and I needed to get in with my perinatologist ASAP. A high number can be an indicator for neural tube defects, and I have to do a level II ultrasound (which I now have scheduled for Thursday). I have been googling incessantly since then, and absolutely everything I read makes me feel better about the potential for this being a false positive. Does anyone have experience with this? My number (multiple of median) was not terribly higher than the cut off for twins, and the test is notoriously wrong for singletons and even more so for twins. Like a lot of drs (and the entire UK) won't even do the test for twins and just rely on ultrasound. So I'm not super freaked out about it, but I would really like for Thursday to come and be over with. Paging pooh8402 because you seem to know everything about this stuff
3. What kind of prenatal exercise(s) are you doing? Eh, none. I have a spin bike that I used religiously pre-pregnancy that I get on occasionally during the weekends because I'm too exhausted to do anything during the week. But I've had a couple of bleeding episodes, so I'm trying really hard to take it easy.
4. It's Fall Premiere Week! Are there any new shows that you're looking forward to watching? None that I can think of. I watch Netflix 90% of the time and don't have cable.
ivy, I wish I knew more. I know those are just screening tests, and basically tell the OBs who needs more invasive testing. I would try not to worry about it until/ unless there is something to worry about. I know that's difficult since I need to give myself the same advice (worryng about my anterior placenta that's currently previa).

Just had my first appointment!! I'm officially unofficially 5 weeks. It's still too little to measure so I go back in a couple of weeks. Tentative due date is 5/25.
I LOVED the midwife and everyone in the office. Weeeeeee!!! I’m so excited!! I got to see it and it’s sooooooo little and cute and omg. I cried and screamed. Lol. I’m out of control.
Also, even though I’m 37 I’m not (yet) considered high risk so I’m glad about that.

Joining in for the first time!
1. How far along are you this week? 10w1d
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? Questions for the group? I have an ultrasound on Friday. Everything looked great at the 8 week ultrasound, but I am stressed about it. Friday will be the exact point (10w4d) when we lost a previous pregnancy. I should have scheduled it for a different day but I wasn’t thinking.
3. What kind of prenatal exercise(s) are you doing? Does chasing after a 4yr old count? That’s about it right now.
4. It's Fall Premiere Week! Are there any new shows that you're looking forward to watching? Not really, I tend to fall asleep as soon as I sit down to watch tv at night!
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? Questions for the group? Nausea slightly better in the past week, constipation much worse .
My question - how do you deal with anxiety of pregnancy after a loss? I don't see my midwife again (saw her at 8w with good ultrasound) until 12 weeks which is another 2.5 weeks from now. I'll have NIPT labs drawn at week 11, but those probably won't even be back by the time I see her the following week (I think? These labs are new to me as I didn't have them with DS). I told myself I'd wait until I hopefully hear the heartbeat on doppler at that 12 week appt to consider getting a home doppler, but I'm really tempted to get one before then (but don't want to freak out if I can't find it, but I feel like between my H and I - he's a doctor, I'm a nurse who's used dopplers before - if it's there, we'd probably get it?). Sorry for the rambling...thoughts?
3. What kind of prenatal exercise(s) are you doing? Trying to keep up with my normal cardio 3ish times per week, but have been struggling due to nausea and fatigue the last 2 weeks. Planning on getting back to the gym this week.
4. It's Fall Premiere Week! Are there any new shows that you're looking forward to watching? I have no idea what are good network shows. When I watch tv, it's typically Bravo or HGTV.
I’m right three with you! I actually have a Doppler sitting at my parents house but I’m trying to force myself to wait a little longer to go pick it up. PGAL is hard. I don’t have any advice, just commiseration.
1. How far along are you this week? 13 Weeks with twins
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? Questions for the group? Charley horses started last night.
3. What kind of prenatal exercise(s) are you doing? None really, besides chasing a toddler after working on my feet all day.
4. It's Fall Premiere Week! Are there any new shows that you're looking forward to watching? Chicago Med/Chicago Fire. This is Us. Not sure of any brand new shows. If anyone wants to binge a short season, try Safe on Netflix! Really good!

1. 29+3
2. I am so over vomiting and heartburn. Just done.
Everyone should buy this maternity jumpsuit. I get so many compliments. And it’s so comfy, I bought two! Crossover Maternity Jumpsuit from Nordstrom: shop.nordstrom.com/S/4768031 My only complaint is I really need a petite, bit it’s so comfortable and easy, I don’t care.
oceanstbride I honestly didn't relax until after my 20w anatomy scan where we could see that everything was ok. And definitely didn't get a doppler (although was lucky that we heard a HB at my 10w appt). Just keep yourself busy and try not to let every twinge in your belly get in your head. I know it's hard, hugs to you.
Same here. PGAL is the worst. I still worry at 29w even though I feel her move a lot.
If you can power through till you feel movement, I recommend it. I don’t think a Doppler would have helped me, but rather would increase my anxiety. But that’s me.

1. How far along are you this week?
14w2d Hello 2nd trimester!
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? Questions for the group?
Today was pretty scary, I went to the bathroom at work to find a lot of bright red blood. Thankfully my doc was able to fit me in immediately, and found the heartbeat and said everything looks good. I don't know if I overreacted or what, but I'm glad they took me seriously, if only to make me feel better. I'm glad to be home with my feet up, that stress really wore me down and I'm ready for bed!
3. What kind of prenatal exercise(s) are you doing?
I've been trying to get some walking/hiking in now that I'm feeling better from 1st tri, but the doctor told me today no exercising or doing anything strenuous until my anatomy scan. Looks like I'm going to be sitting on the couch a lot for the next 5 weeks! I need to clarify at my appointment next week if that includes walking.
4. It's Fall Premiere Week! Are there any new shows that you're looking forward to watching?
I don't watch anything as it airs, but I'm excited for the next season of The Good Place to start/finish so I can watch it on Netflix.

greengables, they are! The little ones were really cute and they were all gentle last time I brought DS there, but one did try to eat my shirt. Goats, man.
walterismydog, no, thank God. There's a farm that has a little petting zoo type deal with their animals near us.

1. How far along are you this week? 28 weeks
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? Questions for the group? Horrible heartburn starting around 2pm. TMI: I burped yesterday while eating skittles and a chunk of barf came up YUCK!
I'm in an area that was devastated by Florence. I feel so worthless in relief aid. My best friend lost his home, and the city inspector told him he wouldn't be able to rebuild. All of our other friends were legit being helpful, and I'm floating around carrying stupid things like hangers The other day I tried to carry a case of water at a donation center, and everyone freaked out.
3. What kind of prenatal exercise(s) are you doing? None. Morning Sickness always knocks me out, and then I can't ever get back on the train.
4. It's Fall Premiere Week! Are there any new shows that you're looking forward to watching? I don't know what new shows are coming out, and our cable has been off and on daily, but I am excited about the new season of Poldark starting on Sunday.

EloiseWeenie -- I'm in the Triangle area, so we missed a lot of it but a ton of my students are volunteering and donating, and I feel helpless, too. I totally understand. Carrying hangers and stuff IS helpful; they have to get moved, too -- remember that. Are you and yours ok? I feel so awful for the eastern part of the state.

lovesherheels I'm so grateful that my house, my rental property, and parent's house in Emerald Isle were all ok. I know I shouldn't feel guilty, but it's impossible when I see so many friend's homes destroyed.

EloiseWeenie I'm so glad you and your parents are ok, but it has to be hard watching others you love struggle. Be good to yourself and know you're doing all you can. I'm concerned it's going to be a long road for some areas.

Any tips from PGAL ladies about how to relax before appointments? I have an ultrasound tomorrow at the exact point in pregnancy (10w4d) when I had a previous loss. I’m scared of both not seeing a heartbeat and of seeing a heartbeat but them finding the same abnormalities we saw before the loss (the heartbeat had stopped when we went in for a cvs after finding several severe issues a few days before). I keep trying to tell myself “for today I’m pregnant and am going to enjoy it” but it doesn’t seem to be working....
