It's wedding week around these parts, so I'm in full on bridesmaid mode and ready to get shit done! I'm sooooo excited for my friend and equally because soon I'm off the hook for all these little things that have been draining my bank account. DD is meeting BF at the wedding and I'm seriously anxious about all of that. I may bribe her with booze to have an open mind. And with all the wedding stuff, I won't get to see DD very much, which sucks, but I'm hoping she sort of appreciates that I've got snacks for her to take back and am making food she loves for when she's here, even if I won't be around much.

As for me, I'm jonesing for a real vacation. Almost every day I've had off this year, has been to accomplish tasks and not to relax. If money were no barrier, I'd be in Costa Rica for a week. I feel like the sun and beach need me!

I'm here! Just busy with work. This week I start back with dance classes!! I'm excited about that, also a little nervous. But mostly excited that I'll be dancing again. This week is pretty busy for me, a meeting tonight, open house at work tomorrow evening (with physical therapy beforehand), then dance classes Thursday and Friday evenings. It's going to be quite the transition. I'm not thrilled that there's a class on Friday evenings, but I'm looking forward to the class itself.

As far as where I'd go if money were no object, part of me wants to say up to Canada to be in the woods and part of me wants to go to Fiji or Bora Bora.

I'm trying to not check out too much before my last day on Thursday. Eeeek! I'm looking forward to going to San Antonio on vacation next week (DH has a work conference, but I will be completely freeeeeeeeeeee!). I found out the hotel has a bunch of waterslides, so it will be me and a million 7-yr-olds on them lol.

If I could go anywhere, I'd go to Greece to learn to sail. DH and I were supposed to go this March for our 5-yr anniversary, but with starting a new job, I won't have enough vacation time, so I think it will have to wait a year, which is a bummer.

I have been MIA do to an insane project at work. Luckily it is starting to wind down and people are finally getting their heads out of their asses and learning what to do.

Speaking of heads out of their asses......I was dating this guy for about 2 months when last week I found out he has a girlfriend of 5 years who he LIVES with. WTF?!
It is a long story but he is quite the con man and she is naive as fuck.

I feel so completely disgusting because he made me the other woman. (No, I did not know he had a gf but it is still a mindfuck.) I found out Wednesday night, confronted him Thursday AM and started contacting her Thursday night. Yeap, I went right to her to let her know the kind of D-bag she is living with.

She has a HUGE wedding pinterest board with over 1000 pins and as of this AM, she was still pinning on it, a honeymoon board and a "My future kids" board.

Oh and did I mention we met on a dating website where he reached out to me?
Yeah, he is a real catch. (Said in my most sarcastic voice)

Yikes spindle92, that's awful. I'm glad you found out and got yourself out of it. It's good that you let his girlfriend know, hopefully she does decide to leave him at some point, but I guess at this point it's up to her what she wants to do with that info.

I'm curious how you found out, if you want to talk about it at all. Or maybe you said and I already blanked because it's been that kind of day at work.

I busted him on Pinterest - of all places

I did all my normal research before meeting him and nothing came up alarming.
He said he broke up with his last girlfriend about 6 months ago.
I saw his pinterest page when I did my initial investigating and there was a girl following him looked familiar so I clicked on her page.
She had a page that said I (heart) N (his name) but there had been no posts to that board in 7 months. (She is VERY active on pinterest, like several posts a day).

Well something sparked my spidey senses last week and I went to his pinterest page and then see thst she now has a picture of the 2 of them as her pinterest screen page and she posted something to the I (heart)N page within the last few days.

I took it from there and nailed his balls to the wall.

I have contacted her 3 times with very detailed information so she is fully aware of A) what exactly went down and B) that he is a scum bag.

My gut tells me she is naïve as hell and is just putting blinders on.
Oh well, I have done my part and can sleep at night knowing I did nothing wrong.

I am still in the thick of the implementation at work. Only a few more weeks of 50 hour work weeks. I hope.

Next week I will be off because xmil is having surgery. She needs to rest and heal, I have the time and need a break.

No way spindle92! I’m sorry but glad you figured it out sooner rather than later.

I have nothing new new. I mean, so much in my life is relatively new but I’ve told you ladies about it already. The new job is going well. I’m learning a lot. Some things are making sense and others are still just swimming around in my head. I have been having moments lately where something will happen that makes me feel like making this job change was a really good choice. I feel like I’m really well suited to this role. Now to actually take all these ideas I have and execute on them. That’s the hard part!

C and I are very happy. We’re still house hunting and don’t expect that process to end any time soon. We’ve narrowed down exactly what we want but there just isn’t a ton of inventory that fits into that box. We did find one house that we both love. I haven’t seen it in person yet (will this weekend) but C has. When he called me after he saw it I could tell immediately he loved it. The problem with it is it’s listed way too high for us. We don’t believe it’s worth what it’s listed at and neither does our agent. So I’m going to see it this weekend and if I love it as much C does we’ll decide what we think is a fair offer. We’ve run some of those numbers already and I suspect what we think is fair will be so far below asking that they may just laugh at the offer. I’m not overpaying for a house though so if that happens we’ll just move on.

I’m looking forward to spending a month down near C and little C in a few weeks. We decided to rent me a condo down there to ease the transition of weekend visits to us all living together full time. It’ll be nice to have regular time with them and will ease my travel burden some so I’m super excited about it.

I’m obsessed with Croatia right now so if I could go anywhere that’s where I’d go.

Other randoms, DD is applying to study abroad next semester. She's looking at France. If that's the case, we're scrapping the Christmas vacation and DS and I will go visit her there during spring break!

I just found out a guy I went out with this past spring is involved in a high profile prostitution ring. I'm totally fascinated about the whole thing! I've also heard once it all comes out, a lot of really powerful people here will be outted.
