I feel like after a couple of months of struggling, I’ve found a photo wall arrangement I like. This is our family room. We pretty much live in here. I took this picture from the doorway to the kitchen.
Every time I look in there, I see the blank patch to the left, and I can’t decide if it’s fine how it is or if I should put something there.
Because I’m apparently GBCN-illiterate, I’ll add the pic in a minute. I can’t add a photo from the website and can’t start a new thread in Tapatalk.

Hm. I think it’s a weird wall and see the issue. What if you do a wall quote sticker or the like in the blank space? There are a million out there. I found the below on Pinterest as examples. Or you could extend the photo wall and add a couple of large 16x20 or larger center photos to the wall and spread it to cover the whole wall.
It’s a weird room all around. There is really no blank wall except the one the couch is on. The others have 1) a nook for the TV, 2) a fireplace flanked by two tall windows, and 3) a window that looks into a breezeway that I have NEVER understood. It literally looks at three brick walls and various doors that go into our office, garage, and outdoor (pool) bathroom. Why they felt the need to stick a window there is beyond me.
We have one couch now floating in front of the fireplace. For years, we had it blocking the window that looks into the breezeway, but a couch doesn’t really fit there, so it stuck out about 4 inches into the huge opening that leads to the kitchen. The need to float that couch is the reason the other couch can’t be centered. (And DH cannot live without 2 couches. Makes me nuts.)
I think I would expand it to fill most of the wall left to right. ETA I wouldn’t do a straight vertical line. I would do the ends the way you have them, just with more in the middle.

I would do what akafred suggested and just make the design fill the whole wall. You could add things like a small mirror, a letter of your last name, or some sort of wall decal designs to fill it out with more than just photos. I've seen examples like that on Pinterest that look good.

honeydew1894- that lamp gave me emoji heart eyes! And it’s $100 off on Wayfair so I just ordered it!
If it doesn’t work in the family room, it’ll go in our mid century modern living room, and I’ll get a big plant. Maybe a ficus? It’s a nice, sunny corner, so a plant would thrive there.
That was so fast! Question, mommyatty, do you have blinds there or just the window treatment at the top?
We have two windows that face our back yard and I think about taking the blinds off.
We don’t have blinds anywhere downstairs except the downstairs bedroom that is now a toy room. It was that way when we moved in. It took a little getting used to but after a while we loved it.
