Thermostat wars happening here. What temperature is standard at your house? Are you, your partner, your kids (whichever apply) equally comfortable at that temp?

In the winter we keep our thermostat at 68 during the day and 64 at night. H likes it on the chilly side, I tolerate it and wear layers and slippers around the house.
In the fall I’m inclined to turn off the thermostat, open the windows and enjoy the fresh air, but H complains about hearing noise through the open windows.

To answer my own question, 68 during the day; 60 while we sleep. H runs hot so I basically live under an afghan all year round. If he’s comfortable, I’m freezing. If I’m comfortable, he’s roasting.

64 during the day, 60 overnight. I prefer it chilly anyway and we have an oil furnace, which is costly to run. H would like it closer to 67-68 but his frugal side wins out.
66 overnight-68 day. yes, we are all comfortable. It is cooler, so usually we have long sleeve or sweatshirt on but that is what we prefer. if it is a low wind chill/single digits I do bump to 70 or put on my elec fireplace

68 when we’re home and 60 when we’re not. We used to turn it down at night but now we have a toddler who can’t really use a blanket well enough. When he’s older we will resume the practice.

My preference would be 62 but because we have little kids I’ve agreed to 67 with me sneaking it down to 65 and my H who wfh in his basement office stomping up the stairs at regular intervals to put it back.

We keep it as 69 when we're home. But it's rare for the outside temperature to get lower than the 40s, even in the dead of winter. Highs are almost over 55. So the thermostat isn't working as hard.

It's 64 in my house right now. We have not turned on the heat yet. I like to see if we can hold out until Nov.1 since the a/c just got turned off a couple of weeks ago (when the 90 plus temps went away and the nights got cool). When it gets really cold out, we'll turn it on and keep it at 66-68 degrees.

I think where you are is relevant. I live in Houston and keep my heat at 72 but I keep my a/c at 76-78 which is what we need about ten months of the year.
We keep it at a constant 68. Our upstairs is FREEZING compared to the downstairs (how?! Doesn't heat rise?!), and I'm afraid we'd be found frozen in our beds if I went lower overnight.
