Nordstroms’ has consultations available, not just at one counter. They’re free.

I used a mask for the first time in ages and forgot just how much I enjoy them. My face feels all plump. I got one in my Birchbox last month so thought I'd try it since I had a non-going out Sunday for the first time in ages.
BeautyPro THERMOTHERAPY Warming Gold Foil Mask with Hyaluronic Acid & Q10. It wasn't warming, but it does feel nice with lots of extra serum to pat into my skin.
I bought a bunch of masks recently and as I'm now only working very part-time I'll try to use more.
I didn’t have that issue with Schmidt’s but I also like other natural deodorants way better.
What do you like better?
You didn't ask me, but I like Native a lot. I used to be a "clinical strength" deodorant kind of girl, and will still wear one if I know I'm going to be sweating all day. But Native works quite well for me. I put on way more than they recommend though.

I've been interested in trying Native. Which scent do you like and where do you usually buy it?

I like pretty much all the scents, lol. I think you can only buy it directly from their website. That's where I get it. They do have trial samplers so you can try different scents to see what you like.

Unfortunately for me none of the stick forms are available so I'd have to get the scoop out stuff. Not sure whether I'd use it then as I like the convenience of the quick swipe of a stick deodorant.

I use the Primal Pit Paste in the jar and while it's not my favorite way of applying deodorant, it's not as inconvenient as I had thought it would be.

does it mark your clothes? like, bottom of armhole on sleevesless tops.

I haven't noticed that it does. I also don't wear sleeveless tops alone and always wear something over them so I'm not as concerned about that as someone who does (so I can't say for sure that it doesn't rub off on my clothes).
I find that it kind of melts into my skin and I don't have to use a lot. I will say though, the days that I go to the gym right from work I do use my Secret antiperspirant. I don't trust the PPP to last all day at work AND all through my workout.

pooh8402 - I like all the scents I have tried. Even ::hangs head in shame:: the LE pumpkin spice latte. The sample pack is an awesome way to try a bunch although I use them for travel primarily. I think my favorite is coconut.
i'm so annoyed. i just saw that the sephora weekly wow is my favorite kate sommerville (AKA $$$$$$) moisturizer - at half off! i was ready to buy two, but they are out of stock online - boooooooooooo!!!

This made me so sad 😞.
I’ve been checking a few times a day and it’s been sold out ever since it went up. That’s bullshit. Why make it a special deal if you don’t have any to sell? I’m sure as soon as the new weekly deals go up and it’s back to full price it will magically be in stock again. Major side eye Sephora.
I feel like I've been wearing BB cream so long, that I've lost the ability to apply foundation that doesn't look like a cakey mess of shit on my face.
I am right there with you! The one thing I can suggest that seems to work a bit more is to take a stippling brush and buff the foundation in really well. It seems to work better for me. But I think that since bb cream barely appears on your skin, foundation seems like a mask when you use it even if no one else sees that.
If I want to go to a beauty counter and have them match a foundation color and make up my face (hopefully giving me a flattering lip color), who do you recommend? I don’t trust anyone at ulta or Sephora. I am thinking of a dept store place.
I was in the same boat as you last year and decided to try Nordstrom since I had bad luck at Sephora matching my skin tone. I had a bad experience at my Nordstrom counter. Basically the person who does the consult was a rep for Cle de Peau (super expensive), and that was the only brand she tried on me, outside of an eyeliner by Trish McEvoy. I felt pressured to buy even though she made me look like a clown, and returned it all a week later (except the eyeliner, lol). I was bummed because I had heard good things and wanted to try different brands that maybe weren’t sold at Sephora. But she clearly just wanted to sell me the most expensive thing she could.
was hoping for a good beauty break yesterday to make my ulta order but it was just meh.
i went to sephora yesterday afternoon to get the kate sommerville weekly wow at 50% off and then spent almost an hour in store swatching tons of things (mostly new releases and holiday sets) i had on my loves list. got rid of a bunch of things that weren't quite right and now will mentally prep my list for the sale coming up!

Sorry, I missed this a couple days ago.
Sephora's services suck.
I would suggest Nordstrom. They usually have people who are not brand representatives, so you shouldn't be pigeonholed into shade selection that doesn't work for you, or be stuck with foundation that is better for dry skin if you have oily.
If you want to go with a brand counter, I'd see if CoverFx has any counters, or otherwise Mac, as I think they have the largest selections of shades. (Fenty does too but I'm 99% sure they only sell at Sephora)
and, just as i suspected by tonight the kate sommerville weekly wow was magically back in stock after being out all week when it was on sale. so sketchy.

I just got my ulta statement. I have 2700 points, plus I still have my 20% off to use through next week. Not sure if there's anything worth buying at this point (holiday releases). Or if I should wait for another 20% coupon closer to the holidays? What are the chances I'll get another one?
